Lovely ranch located just north of Steamboat. Accommodated our group of 6 (2 kids aged 8) with two new riders and we rode for an hour. Views were nice- I was glad we went in Aspens and woods and it wasn't all open meadow. The trail guides were nice and provided some interesting info along the way. read more

Had a great date day with my husband, didn't really know what to expect since neither of us had been riding for 25 years! We chose the 2-hour ride. The trail was just right - great scenic views, not too rough but not too plain either. The aspen groves were spectacular and we saw some deer and elk along the way! Our guides were professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable on anything we asked them abou! And we loved our horses - so steady and they knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing. Our group included children and seniors and none of us were disappointed or overwhelmed. We will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great tour ride! read more

There is not be enough room for me to write the glowing review of Del's Triangle 3 Ranch. It started off wonderful by being welcomed by the border collie welcoming committee. They made my day. The scenery was amazing before we started our ride. Before it was time for us to leave, the farrier showed up to start shoeing the horses. I had never seen a horse being shoed before, the farrier was very informative and loved sharing his love of horses. He had a Cane Corso dog, Freya, who was the friendliest dog. We got our picture taken together. Oakley was our guide and did an good job of educating us regarding the history of the Ranch, as well as telling us about Ray. Our horses were very tame and did a good job on the sometimes rugged trail. The scenery was beautiful. I am a frequent visitor to Steamboat Springs and can't wait to visit the Ranch again. read more

My first time out West to Steamboat with a group of girlfriends and this was a major highlight of my trip! The weather was spectacular which made the ride up the mountain glorious! To hear Ray's stories was a special treat - what a gem he is at 86 years young! I only wish we could have taken more than one group photo when we reached the top as our horses were all spread out. oh well. May I be so fortunate to get to visit again and take more photos. The view is breathtaking! We rode for an hour which for our group was fine. There was a family of six or seven who also rode with us. No matter how many times you may have gone horseback riding I think you'd enjoy this mild adventure. Owners are down-to-earth and their pups were super sweet too as they greeted us! Oakly was the lead, and she was always checking in on the family with the kids - very nice. read more

Amazingly beautiful horse back riding experience! We did the 1 hour summer ride and the trail is absolutely amazing. You go through the wood and the fields with mountains in the background at all times. The ride is the entire 1 hour and they don't cut it short. Horses are great. Rider beware!! Had a great trail ride (2018) until the last 10 minutes when the horse in the back spooked. All the horses then took off galloping down the hill. My daughter was the only rider who could stay on. My girth was too loose and my saddle started sliding to the side, there was no way I could stay on. When I fell, I landed hard. Broke two ribs, huge hematoma to my leg and a concussion. The wrangler didn't even come back to help. They did not offer first aide, nothing. I went to the ER and six months later I could do regular activity again. Wear a helmet and be experienced with this group; otherwise you may end up on the wrong side of the ride. read more

We were here yesterday and the place was great. McKinley was our guide along with one of the original owners who has put his son in charge. I don't remember the older gentleman's name, but he is great too. The horses (mine is named BB) are well kept and are gentle as can be. Yeah, they have their quirks, but the horses are well behaved. They started you off with some paperwork for liability, but soon we were off to corrals in which you were fitted with a horse and you can get a personal pouch for water. Take water! I did and didn't regret it. You also get a short training on how to do some basic handling of the horse. The two hour ride is through some beautiful country, but it was really hot, so no wildlife hanging out on this go around, but we may stop by during a time when things are cooler. It's an easy ride and the horses follow right in line. Just a great ride and we highly recommend this ranch to anyone in the Steamboat area (30 minutes from downtown). Make sure that you leave the staff a good tip! read more

I was able to book a 2 hour ride the night before which was nice. It was about $90 per person. The 2 hour trip had a lot of nice views but to be honest, it was kind of boring for me because we just rode horses in a line of like 20 horses with like a foot in between each other so I felt like I was kind of in a pony line. Also for future references, I would prefer a one hour trip because it really hurt in between my legs after a while of riding. It was nice they lent us a small bag to put our personal belongings in to have while we ride the horse. The owners were really nice and enthusiastic. I would have preferred to have a little more control of my horse and go off path a little. read more
