Excellent experience for first time and seasoned riders. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly. They work hard to make sure each person has a great experience. Lots of changes in elevation and views. Blessed to see a major herd of Elk with babies. Highly recommend this experience and then having lunch and ice cream at the Clark General store (on the way to and from the ranch). read more

Wow! What a great day! If you want a true Colorado ranch experience, this is it! Del's is a 4th generation, family-owned business. First we met grandpa Ray. He walked over to us while we were waiting to get signed up. The stories from this Steamboat legend were priceless. He cracks up when he said he was a city boy bec he was born and raised in downtown Steamboat. He was an Olympic athlete as well and rode all his life until 2 years ago at 85 when he fell off a horse and sustained serious injuries. His grandson, Justin, took us on our half day ride. The views were spectacular. Wildflowers were everywhere. There has been elk in the past but it was not in the cards today . Justin was another great storyteller and an amazing guide. What a lovely experience! This was easy to book, incredibly relaxed, gorgeous way to see local trails, and a truly genuine experience.

The views were stunning. We had such a, great time horseback riding and loved our sweet horses. The staff were very friendly.

I particularly enjoyed the views as we rode through aspen groves, the autumnal colors were spectacular. October was a great time to go. Guides were friendly and accommodating. Horses all seemed gentle and well trained. Only tip I could give is the middle people in line were unable to hear either guide speaking, so missed out on all the information and tid bits being given. read more

We had such a beautiful ride at Del's Ranch. We went the first weekend in June and the hills were lush and green. The scenery was peaceful and breathtaking with the snowcapped mountains in the distance. The hour long ride was perfect for our young girls who haven't ridden much. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Ray, Haley, and Cara couldn't have been more wonderful. The horses are sweet and had personality. The tour was thru the woods and up up up... the views were breathtaking. We went during a snowy day which made it magical, but I have heard the summer foliage is a great time to go as well. On a side note, THANK YOU to all involved who helpedus out of an unexpected detour, which could have ended our day, but they went beyond to let us have the best experience. read more

Del's Ranch was an awesome find. My husband and our two friends from out of town were looking for an activity we could all enjoy when our legs got tired from skiing. This was the perfect way to be immersed in nature & relax with great company! Our guides Oakley & Ray were authentic and genuine people. They accommodated us with warm gear and matched up the horses according to our prior experiences. The trails we took were breathtakingly beautiful and offered a mix of terrain (Aspens, cliff-side ridges, countryside, etc.) It was cool to see the Bald eagle population thriving in this area as we saw maybe 4 in total. We also saw an owl fly overhead and tracks of some bigger game in the area. The snow was packed high on our tour, but made for a scenic and glittery ambiance. In total, the excursion was about 2 hours long with Ray and Oakley sharing stories that had us all wishing we were cowboys and cowgirls. This really was a 10/10 experience. I can't say enough how quickly we'd all go back! Thank you guys at Del's Ranch again for making us all feel so welcome. These memories will stay with us forever! read more

My family has been going out to Del's for about 20 years. We have been here in the summer and the winter, with our young children, older children and my husband and myself. Every experience has been amazing. Perk and Ray ( and Becky) run a very professional business and take great care of their customers at whatever level they are at in the moment. It is quite obvious they take great care of their horses also. Beside the breathtaking views you will be afforded on your ride, Perk and Ray are the ultimate historians of the area and so knowledgeable in land and animal management. We have learned so much from them. This all peppered with terrific stories. We would never come out to Steamboat without doing a ride here!!!! read more

The two cowboys that served my family were great. The patriarch of the ranch was genuine and honest. Our ride was cut short due to weather and within a few hours I had a modified refund for the time we did not get on horseback. Overall the staff was wonderful, the horses were great, even for my 73 y/o father that had never been on a horse. The mountains were beautiful. We stayed in downtown Steamboat and it took right at an hour of very safe driving to get to the ranch. It was worth the drive. read more
