When I started looking at the different flavors of ice cream and popsicles that are offered at this Mexican ice cream shop I was a little overwhelmed by how many different flavors that are offered that I've never heard of before.....mamey, what's that?!?! But I was overly excited when I saw that they had mangonada in popsicle form.....mango con chili!!! Before coming here, I honestly didn't know I was into popsicles until I had their popsicles. Their popsicles are really flavorful with lots of big chunks of fruit pieces! I'm a mangonada fiend and my favorite popsicle flavor of theirs is definitely their mango con chili. It has all the flavors that's in a mangonada in a popsicle form! Their strawberry cheesecake and mango ice cream tastes good too but their highlight for me is, you guessed it, their mango con chili popsicle! The ladies who work there are all really friendly and patient. Kind weird, but because I think they make their popsicles in house, for some odd reason they do not seal the popsicle packaging. Free parking at their parking lot is a plus!

While the ice cream wasn't terrible, it certainly wasn't the best I have had and was a bit pricy. That's the only reason this isn't a one star. I had the pork tamale plate and my wife had a turkey sandwich. My house made tamales were excellent. The rice was standard rice but the white beans were great. All in all a great tamale plate. My wife's sandwich was took big for lunch (I could have eaten the whole thing), so she brought home half for dinner. Next was the produce room. Mostly fruit today. They were having a bogo on cherries and we got a couple peaches as well. They had a wide selection of apples. We were hoping for more veggies. In the sauces/jam area, I picked up a steak marinade. The prices were high but they had a huge selection and it all seemed 'small batch'. The candy/chocolate section is amazing. So many choices. I got cashew brittle and a few other goodies. We ended up at the prepared foods and got some burritos for dinners. Skipped by the ice cream today, but it looked great. A fun day trip and a ton of stuff to treat your with.
