The location is a restaurant, bar and convenience and liquor store all in one. Our server took our order and brought our drinks out shortly after. To eat, we ordered the Rockfish Bites which came with "beach fries" and a dozen blue crab to share. The dozen crabs were $48 - you also could do all you could eat crabs for the same price and you got chicken, hush puppies and fries. We figured that was too much, so we opted for the dozen to share amongst 4 people. I think it was a perfect amount for us and how hungry we were. Our server could've been better. We needed paper on our table and she brought it out as our crabs came out so we had to pick everything up, our drinks and apps off the table for her to set it down. We also wanted more drinks and other things and had to call her over. Wasn't the best, nor worst service. We were staying at Frontier Town almost directly across the highway, so convenience factor was high.

Ah, Dick's. How do I hate thee, let me count the ways…read more Could it be that every time I visit Dick's I almost always leave unhappy and without purchasing something? They rarely have what I need. And even if you are fortunate enough to find an employee, they won't know what they're doing or anything about the specific sports equipment you need. If you need a cheap, Chinese made baseball for your kid's little league, they have you covered. But this is no REI. Or even Cabela's or Bass pro shop. It's the Kmart of sporting goods. I kick myself every time I leave empty handed and vow never again. But I guess hope springs eternal, and within a couple months I'm back, wasting another 20 minutes searching for something they don't have.

This was a first for this sole purpose. Mainly boots, but also packs. They compete with REI no doubt. But they have an edge in my opinion on service. My service with Chase was phenomenal from entering the store to showing me every aspect of technical gear I would need on a two week European hike, or even local in the Appalachian. I walked out knowing much more and still researching. They did not have the specific hard to locate Lowa boots I wanted to try on. They are rarely retail, closest is NC. No purchases yet, but soon.

I only became aware of this small regional chain in October while shopping them in Roanoke, Va. I…read morewas so impressed by their upscale inventory of outdoor clothes and more. So when I learned they had a store much closer to me I had to shop them with an agenda of purchasing a new vest. The store is located in Merchants Square and replaced was a long standing independent that was beloved, "The Craft House". That part is sad to learn. The sales lady Ally was over the top friendly when I initially called to ask about their brands and inventory of vest. They carry Duck Head which I was specifically looking at. She held a few sizes for me with low inventory. When I came in she knew who I was and pulled the two out to try on. The sizing chart for the Fremont style vest had me in a Large. They calculate weight and chest size. It was correct. Unfortunately no sales on this luxury brand. I browsed the store and found more and more to purchase for myself and gifts. The Cotopaxi backpack for my daughter heading to Europe this Spring seemed perfect. I'm draw to quality and they had all the best brands for outdoors. I also looked at a Patagonia coat and Vuori pants. Unfortunately not my size. I also looked at their socks and shoes. Love that they offer Feetures socks a total favorite. Also Blundstone shoes from Australia. Checkout of all my items was smooth on a card. My items have a generous return policy of 30 days. I will absolutely return again in the coming year. If there is one negative it's the price point.
