Great prices on crabs along with great service, definitely worthwhile shopping here, call ahead to speed up the your orders

The "5 star dive bar" lol Came here for a quick lunch with family. It was not busy at the time we came - a Saturday around 3. The location is a restaurant, bar and convenience and liquor store all in one. Our server took our order and brought our drinks out shortly after. To eat, we ordered the Rockfish Bites which came with "beach fries" and a dozen blue crab to share. The dozen crabs were $48 - you also could do all you could eat crabs for the same price and you got chicken, hush puppies and fries. We figured that was too much, so we opted for the dozen to share amongst 4 people. I think it was a perfect amount for us and how hungry we were. Our server could've been better. We needed paper on our table and she brought it out as our crabs came out so we had to pick everything up, our drinks and apps off the table for her to set it down. We also wanted more drinks and other things and had to call her over. Wasn't the best, nor worst service. We were staying at Frontier Town almost directly across the highway, so convenience factor was high. read more

I'm grading strictly on the steamed crabs. I was staying close by at a camping place and had a desire for some crabs but didn't have the equipment to catch and cook my own. I saw a sign on my way in that this place had crabs so decided to check it out and glad I did. Crabs were on point, price was right, steamed while I waited. This place is also a convenient store on one side that looks like it's got anything you could want and small dive bar on the other. Definitely check this place out! read more

I got the $48 all you can eat crabs. The nice server even taught me how to eat them properly. The AYCE came with crabs, corn on the cob, shrimp and chicken. It was so much food. My family got chicken tenders and wings and enjoyed those too. They even let our dog out on the back patio to sit with us. read more

I so badly want to recommend this place but can't. It has that friendly, small town charm coming out the wazoo. We stopped in on a whim after a trip to assateauge. We couldn't agree on a place and decided it would be as good as any. It has a small convenient store with a few groceries and more touristy items plus LOTS of fishing items. There's a to go counter and a sit down portion. We decided on the sit down experience. My wife and young daughter both ordered the crab feast while I ordered fried chicken. My food and my son's were the first to come out. His was a hot dog and fries, hard to mess up. It all seemed perfect. My chicken meal was absolutely abysmal. It was a 2 piece meal. One piece was decent sized. The other was simply laughable. It looked like the piece you throw in because it isn't big enough to serve. To make things even worse, thr chicken was cold. Not undercooked, but cold like it had been sitting around. Disappointing. I will say the potato salad and coleslaw were amazing. It was supposed to come with a roll but didn't. I was going to say something but my wife offered me hers. It was easily the smallest roll I have ever seen. So my meal was a complete bust other than the sides. The crab feast was the way to go, but I didn't want to spend another $50 since I'm not a big crab fan. You get a basket full of fries, chicken, hush puppies, corn, and a roll. At some point they'll bring out a bunch of crabs. The problem we had was timing of the food. My son and I were done before the crab feast was even started! It was at least an hour after ordering that the crabs were brought out. I honestly started to think they forgot about us and weren't going to bring them at all even though we were literally the only ones there. The too hot/ cold food continued with the crab feast. I helped peel shrimp for my daughter. The first basket was cold. The second was so hot I couldn't even peel it. Why they couldn't get a decent temp for the food is beyond me. Would I go back? Maybe, but probably not. I love supporting this type of small, local business but there's not much positive thst would draw me back sadly. read more

Staff here was so friendly. Unfortunately, I stopped in before crab season really picks up but if I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be eating here. Something so comforting in knowing certain toes of shellfish aren't sold unless they're in season. *sighs* if you're going anywhere near Assateague definitely stop here. Good take out! Fish sandwich....delish! Only thing is they forgot a part of order and we had to drive 20 minster to go get it.

This true beach variety store is a beach goer and fisherman friendly face. Pack a cooler with ice and pick up your breakfast sandwiches, hoagies and beverages on way to Assateague Island National Seashore, or the state park. Call ahead they will make it for you and have it ready. It's the last stop into the park. Packing the car and remembering everything is easy when you just stop here for your meals. read more

I am from out of town and bought some chicken necks for crabbing. I asked him if what I grabbed was chicken necks and he said yes. I saw that they were 3.99 and he charged me 12.50 and then they got upset once I questioned the price and could not cancel the transaction and gave me 4 dollars back. Still not correct. Great food from an unlikely place. Buck must own the whole strip mall including a bait and tackle shop, deli, and corner store, along with an unlikely bar at one end. We had the freshest clams and shrimp at a bargain. read more

Buck's has THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN hands-down we have ever had at a restaurant. Typical little bait and knick knack shop with a nice little food counter serving breakfast, lunch, crabs, and various salads. Everything is homemade and very good! Crabs were reasonably priced and heavy. There's also a bar, but we've never hung around long enough to go there. read more

Buck's is a combination bait & tackle shop, beer store and bar, general store, deli and crab house on the road to Assateague. From live minnows for bait to $1.00 Busch light traveling cans, this place has everything you need. It's a must stop place, say if you are down in the ocean city area on a vacation and are shooting around a lot between there and Assateague to swim or fish. It's a little bit like Ike Godsey's but with bait, beer, good food and Keno. Good, friendly service. Just leave your problems at the curb and head on in. The bar only serves beer and malt beverages, so don't go there and fuss if you cannot get a Gin Rickey, Manhattan or Martini. If there is not a sign up that says COLDEST BEER AROUND, there should be. Beers served at a temperature near-to-freezing and a friendly clientele, about 75% local, more than makes up for the bar not having any of the distilled stuff. read more
