Prior to this I had only done the microlink method which was too stressful for my hair now. Lana reassured me that this method was not going to damage my hair like the other methods that I had used before. And it's been great. I'm going on my fourth month with these extensions (with regular monthly maintenance) and I'm very pleased with them. They feel so incredibly natural, my hair flows very nicely, no hair matting whatsoever, it doesn't look or feel like "extensions". You can tease the hair, style it, wash it often, sleep comfortably without feeling them. And on top of all of this, Lana is very sweet. She offers snacks and takes care of her customers which I find very unusual in today's culture. She's a great person who is not doing it just for the money. She honestly cares about your hair. I chose to get a really long length (~10 longer than my actual hair), so it was harder to blend the hair to look natural and curling is a must. But I think Oscar did an excellent job. (My wedding hair and makeup artist made it look phenomenal) It had been over 10 years since I've dyed my hair, so the coloring was a little off at my roots, but they quickly fit me a few days later to fix it. I really respect a business/their employees who go out of their way to make sure customers are happy. I'd say the only downside is parking, but it's definitely manageable. The first time I went there Michael and Kimberly were very pleasant and they did a decent job with my hair (cut and color). The next time I went I felt rushed and not listened to. The last time I went Kimberly was not pleasant at all. I asked her to do the same color job as last time and she left the front (headband) gray. I told her I wanted it light blond with some dark blonde lights so when the gray started growing in 2 weeks it would blend and not look like a white circle around my face. It was like she didn't hear me it all and I had to ask her to do it over. She did but she wasn't happy about it. Then Michael cut my hair and I would swear he was in his man-period. He didn't say 2 words to me and rushed through the cut like he was a million miles away. The last time I went there I showed pictures of the cut and color. I ended up looking nothing like the photos. If they thought my hair would not work in the style or color I wanted they should have said so and offered me an alternative. They didn't say anything and it felt like they just did what they wanted and ignored me. Needless to say I was even farther from what I wanted for my hair. I gave up and now its been about 8 months since I did anything to my hair. I think Michael and Kimberly are burned out so it depends on how they are feeling on the day you come in.

My advice to those new to the salon is to get there early as parking is limited in the front and the ample parking would be across the street or in the residential area. Backstory I met Shawn Babauta at JCPenny as I went in to get a haircut and she mentioned she was moving to Dolce Salon which was the best decision she made as well as for Dolce Salon to add an amazing stylist to their team. Shawn is so talented and the thing I love about Shawn when I first met her was she listened to what my concerns were and what my inspiration was. Also Shawn gives good feedback on styles that compliment your face and how much work a certain style would be for example bangs. That's a plus for me because not many stylists listen or give you that type of feedback.
