The weather was not great for the engagement shoot, but the photos Gina took came out amazing. The wedding photos are even better, she had very quick turnaround time. What an excellent job-- from our friendly first meeting to the final product, Gina, our photographer, was able to capture the pre-ceremony excitement, the beauty of the wedding itself, and the fun and crazy reception with ultimate professionalism and class. Plus...the photos turned out great! Upon review of the photos, I was amazed at just how many moments were captured with just one photographer that day! Some highlights of my experience with Garbero Photography: 1. Through the entire ceremony I never noticed the photographer, never felt like I had a camera's eye on me and neither did those attending the wedding. She was able to capture all the vital parts of the ceremony from various vantage points without disrupting the flow and feel of the event. 2. My bridesmaids loved her sense of humor and some great photos were the result (think vamping for the camera) 3. The photographer was able to get a portrait of every wedding guest or couple. This was not only appreciated by us, but many of the guests were happy to have a professional portrait of themselves as a keepsake. 4. We were able to get a sneak peak at some of the best shots of the day very soon after the wedding. This was great as I was still reliving the day over and over in my head! 5. Gina had a great eye for capturing special moments, small details, and the energy of the event while still managing to take quality professional photos of all the important parts of the ceremony and reception (ring exchange, first dance, cake, etc) She never missed a moment! However, I still wouldnt know it because Danielle made me a model...and my fiance, who seriously looked like he was impersonating Stevie Wonder in most of our pics. HA She knew when the light would be perfect for our shoot. She was great at directing us to make the perfect picture (where to put arms, head, hair, etc). She had all the great and amazing spots around the city. I am not talking about all the ones everyone knows about. She has the secret, hidden spots that are seriously breathtaking! My family and friends were so impressed with our photos! Shit, I was impressed with our photos! I didnt know I could look like that... And I have to mention her contagious laugh. I was so busy the week before the wedding that I had no idea what I wanted to do with pictures, and she made the suggestions and we went with it -- we couldn't be happier! I thought it was soo nice that before she left the wedding, she made sure to come to me to take any last minute pictures. I also did a boudoir session with Danielle. I was super nervous, but she made you feel so comfortable. It was a lot of fun to do! My body is not perfect, but she made me feel like a supermodel! I felt so confident after the session! Short review: Hire Jessica. She is amazing. You will not regret it…read more Long review: I contacted Jessica very early on in my planning process, and she was involved throughout the entire process. Jess figured out early on that I am a bit of a control fanatic, and she was able to offer the exact amount of guidance, assistance, and advice that I wanted. Most importantly to me, she was very accessible. She is such a warm, intelligent, and generally awesome woman that I really enjoyed working with her. Also, she always responded to all of my texts, emails, and phone calls within a very short amount of time. I was never frustrated by her lack of responsiveness. Moreover, she always seemed really eager to discuss all of the minutiae that I brought to her attention. I really appreciated her willingness to contact my vendors to hammer out the final details, and, in the case of my photo booth company, to even negotiate a slightly better deal! I also found her artistic eye particularly invaluable in focusing my design concept of the wedding. She was always available to give an opinion or to offer suggestions about what was essential vs. nonessential and what would look good from a design standpoint. After MUCH discussion, we came up with an incredible design concept for the centerpieces that I was thrilled with. She also helped me with suggestions on how to incorporate the library theme of my wedding throughout the stationary, the escort card table, and throughout. She has an amazing eye for style. Where she really shines, however, is on the day of the wedding. She runs a tight wedding ship, and makes sure that things run on time as much as possible. With five bridesmaids, five groomsmen, and one adorable dog, this task was no small feat. My family and bridal party teased her for the 7 page master itinerary that she sent prior to the wedding. However, due to that itinerary, there were no last-minute calls about where to be (from the vendors or the bridal party), when to be there, or how things would go. It was brilliant. And it allowed everything to run smoothly. Because of Jessica, I was not stressed on the day of my wedding at all. I was completely confident that everything would work out beautifully. I knew that if anything came up that Jessica would take care of it and that confidence allowed me to enjoy my day. That is the best part of having Jessica as your planner -- knowing that you will be able to fully enjoy your day without having to deal with logistical issues that surely pop up.
