All I have to say is--Yum! We were looking in downtown Frederick for a place for breakfast or brunch on a Sunday morning. Checked our handy Yelp app, and Delizia was recommended. (I had catered Delizia at an event in the past--but hadn't eaten in the restaurant.) We loved it! My husband had the $15 all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. I had an egg Montagna dish--on thin focaccia bread, which comes with a side salad and warm croissant! The cappuccinos were perfect. On top, of the great food--the staff was very friendly! I think this place is okay. I like the casual attitude that is typical of the Italian cafeteria atmosphere. Prices were also very reasonable. The fried zucchini flowers were good but breaded too thick in my opinion that they came out a bit more greasy/heavy than they should be. The accompanying sauce was a bit too thick and sweet - as if it came from a grocery store. Sus. The stuffed cornetto were good - better than a place, and not as good as another place that I've been to in DC. Go for the custard filling. The breakfast dishes here are probably the main draw - filling, healthy, and well-rounded - had the breakfast montagna, but any of the breakfast dishes here probably would be worthwhile. If this was Hinge, I would give them a super like for sure (above a 5 star). I was reading the other reviews and I could see what they were mentioning but honestly I was impressed. I had never been here before and will definitely be coming back. Our waitress was on top of it but wasn't hovering- could talk and eat in peace. OH MY GOSH the food was absolutely delicious and I am craving more. I have no idea what dressing was on the salad but it was delicious. This is my new favorite coffee shop and gelato stand. I lived in Europe for a while and the gelato here is top notch like there. The rose almond latte was fabulous and omg the chocolate croissants are amazing. The restaurant is super nice inside too and dog friendly. I suggest eating there as the plating of food is beautiful. I did not enjoy the breakfast buffet at all and should have went with the breakfast dish instead. It took about 15 minutes to receive the cappuccino I ordered, but it was delicious. The croissants were amazing. I think the owner was the one seating and taking orders, so service was very slow. We had to hunt someone down for the check. I'd say skip the breakfast. Perfect Italian Cafe experience. Breakfast to die for! Amazing fresh chocolate croissant served with fresh dipping whipped cream. So moist and flakey! A sweet little cafe that has recently opened in Downtown Frederick. They are located right off of Market St and on W. Patrick Street. You can't miss this gem. I've been here a couple times and the common theme is the crappy service. It's almost to the point where I started to question whether or not it was an actual full service sit-down restaurant. When you walk in you see the sign that says "please wait to be seated", so it appears to be a place where a server will come to you and take your order. But, they won't ever come back to give you a coffee refill or do normal things like check on you. If you like salt and pepper, it's not on the table. The ambiance is nice though and food was decent, nothing amazing. The owner is definitely Italian and was nice. The young servers are either lazy or maybe it's just how they do things. What a cute place to stop in for coffee and treats! Delizia Cafe had just opened on my last visit to Frederick and we stopped in for lattes and some treats. We had some little donuts with our coffee and they were melt in your mouth good. This time it was warmer weather so we had Iced coffee which was just as good. Their hand crafted coffee is really good! I was very impressed with their extensive menu and although I did not go to eat, I will definitely try some of the food on the menu next time I visit. I got a truly awful iced latte to go. It was so bad that I threw it away. The place was also very dimly lit and unwelcoming. The toilet didn't flush and the worker said that it is always like that and the staff go to a restaurant next door when they need to use the bathroom. Huge disappointment. read more

Cute cafe in downtown Frederick! I come by in the morning to get some coffee and do some work. I ordered a rose latte, which did not come in a traditional latte cup surprisingly. First time in Frederick. Mid March visiting my son and wife. This was absolutely the best food I've had in probably 7 years.For 35 years we lived in Westchester County,NY. We could go to Arthur Ave or buy products locally. This restaurant was exactly what I wished for but never thought I would find. I wanted to speak with the owner to tell him but he was very busy!! He and all the servers were simply lovely. Eggplant parmigiana was over the top, fresh,Fresh ingredients,perfect portions and beautifully plated. Caprese salad with made on premises mozzarella was outstanding. The ice coffee was just incredible. I'm so grateful to have been able to "stumble " upon this restaurant/coffee house. I've thought about this place nearly daily and I cannot wait to return to Frederick in September. My son brought me eggplant parm and same salad on our last night in Frederick. I been wanting to try out Delizia cafe for some time because of their cute ambience but when I finally did and I was really disappointed with the service/attitude. There were four available baristas at the front desk, but it seems that all of them were reluctant to make an eye contact or approach me as I waved to grab attention in order to show my phone where I typed my order on BIG notes app. As the day turned into evening, they served Italian food, so I was looking forward to that. The waitress did not approach our table immediately nor respond to our visual bids of attention as compared to hearing customers. When we pointed our orders on the menu, there was awkwardness with the waitress as she uncomfortably walked backwards without putting down our orders. The lack of communication and deaf friendliness resulted in multiple misunderstandings and few wrong orders. We ended up leaving the restaurant with our bellies empty. This can be improved by being responsive to alternative communication methods. Being equally warm and humane to Deaf customers as workers usually are to hearing customers. Deaf customers have run into first-timers many times (hearing people who interact with us for the very first time), so do service individuals with a level of patience and openness. I do not usually type a review, however this restaurant did not try to mend things, so this is not a deaf-friendly business. read more
