Been going to Barrio for years now since they opened their other location…read morein Portsmouth NH years ago and so I can confidently say this is the place to go for scrumptious tacos unlike anything you'll taste elsewhere. Barrio also leveraged a unique ordering system split between predefined tasty tacos or fully customizable, BYO tacos of all forms and flavors. Mason jar margs are equally generous and delicious, with many flavors and options to choose from. If you're an apoplectic steak lover I highly recommend giving the La Tierra a taste - an unlikely yet truly delicious intersection of Coca Cola, bacon, steak, and secret sauce that makes this taco tantalize your taste buds like Boston's own Keytar Bear tearing it up on any given Tuesday night. Add to that a unique , if bustling, ambiance, with more decor flair than vintage Jennifer Aniston on a TGIF work night and you've got a recipe for a great dining experience that will not feel like every other Mexican restaurant with Americanized quesadillas, hard shell tacos, and $50 sugary marg pitchers.

I'm always on the search for an horchata that isn't too sweet and this one finally did it! The pozole was tasty and came with a generous amount of pork. All three tacos were also excellent. They seemed to be hosting some sort of large group when we got there but still managed to get our stuff out the door quickly. There's quite a generous amount of seating for a small place. It's spray and cheery and definitely we will try to eat in next time.

The place is order at the counter or online ordering & DoorDash delivery. There are several tables inside here to eat your food. Before stopping here, I went on DoorDash to see the menu and DD was offering a BOGO Carne Asada Tacos special, 2 Carne Asada Tacos for $5.50 plus tax after DD discount. I ordered this deal, then went inside to order in person, 3 Birria Tacos ($15 plus tax) with consume. My 2 orders (5 tacos total) were made at the same time and bagged up to go in about 9 minutes after ordering. The tacos were hot & fresh with radish, cucumber & limes on the side. The average sized taco soft shells were grilled. The tacos were filled, but not overstuffed. I dipped each taco into the consume. I would come back here again for takeout if I'm in the area and I feel like having tacos.

The flavor was nice, filling a little bland, but the whole bite was good. Including a side of chips and salsa with a takeout order is exceptional. Thank you very much... Great idea. Red salsa was very nice. The cheese dip was very thin, but had a nice flavor, definitely helped with the flautas filling. I was tempted in-store to buy a soda, but they wanted $6.25 for it. Couldn't go there. The young assisting with this decision was very helpful... Thank you! They charge a $1.50 takeout service fee, but we got no napkins or cutlery. Overall, I'll definitely try something again, but I find myself very stringent in my reviews because going out these days costs so much money. Until next time...

The space was redone with an updated counter area, table seating, colorful painted murals & decor and flat-screen TVs on each side. After enjoying a takeout dinner here a couple weeks before when it was Dora Taqueria, I decided to return here, but this time it's now Mercadito Taqueria. The mood here was kind of glum probably since Dora Taqueria abruptly cut ties and affiliation with this location. I ordered a Regular Chicken Burrito ($11.99 plus tax) which was filled with shredded chicken tinga, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and salsa in a warm soft flour tortilla. The burrito was packed and wrapped in thin foil, but the foil was breaking apart and sticking to the moist tortilla. Anyways, the burrito was very tasty and not too spicy. If I'm in the area, I would likely stop in again for quick Mexican eats.
