Worked with them for a lot of work (structural repair of screened in porch, popcorn ceiling removal, replacing dozens of outlets and light switches, countertop install and cabinet painting in kitchen) on our new house. They consistently did good work for a fair price based on competing quotes I got. Before and after pic that shows the ceiling, cabinets and countertops (I told them to leave the light off where the hole is in the ceiling and we're getting the floors replace so I told them not to worry about covering the floors when painting) read more

I have been waiting to write this review until I was moved out of my house and was in a new location where these people do not have my address. I have never, ever had a worse experience with any service of any kind. Please, if you do not read anything else in this review, never use Pedro and his team, and if your real estate agency recommends them to you (as happened to me), immediately leave that agency. I was preparing to put my house on the market and was told by my real estate agent to use Pedro to put a fresh coat of paint throughout the interior of my home, as he was the agency's one and only recommended painter. (The agency was Relevate. Do not use them either.) Trusting that they had vetted him, I scheduled his team to come out the week before my house was supposed to go on the market. Over the course of two days, they nearly destroyed my entire home. Instead of properly moving my furniture to prep, they dragged things across the hardwood floors and gouged deep scratches into the wood. They shattered a ceramic pot with a house plant inside, did not alert me that they had done so and tried to hide the pieces of the pot, but left soil spread across a room and made no attempt to clear it up. They did not use painters tape ANYWHERE which led to obviously wavy lines around the trim, paint on mirrors and the floor, and all around the edges of my windows. But worst of all, they did not take any care in properly covering my floors / surfaces / furniture and after they left, my entire house was covered in massive, dried drops of paint. It was everywhere across the hardwood floors, there were drips of dark blue paint on white trim, on all of my countertops, on most of my furniture, and spread all over a piece of artwork worth thousands of dollars. When I called Pedro and informed him, he reluctantly came back only to tell me that I was "being dramatic" when I pointed the paint out to him on my art and around the house. He made barely any attempt to remove any of the paint spots, and was so angry and aggressive with me that even though hardly any of the paint was gone after that first day, I refused to allow him back into my home. I ended up spending multiple days crawling around on my hands and knees with a bucket and a toothbrush trying to get as much of the paint off as possible so I would still be able to list my house. It was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I've moved into my new home and almost every day I spot more paint splatters on my furniture that I didn't catch before the move. As other reviews here have pointed out, Pedro has also refused in the past to provide any proof that his business is bonded and insured. I, stupidly, did not ask him about this but he would only accept payment via Venmo and got very angry when I checked the box that I was paying for a service. I would not be surprised if the business is operating without the proper licenses. Whatever you do, do not use them. The 12-year-olds in your neighborhood would do a better job. read more

They set appointment 830am on Monday texted Sunday changed til 2pm and arrived 347pm. Then refuse to paint. I had taken everything out of china cabinet. They claim they smelled cigarette smoke. I just all other rooms and ceilings painted and new floors and furniture put in. I think just did not want to do it. Be careful. Look at reviews on their site. read more

BEWARE! We have used this company multiple times before and had always been pleased with their work. HOWEVER, NOT this time! We arranged for them to paint two bathrooms and one room, initially quoted at $450 for all three rooms. I later asked them to also paint the ceiling of the master bathroom, which increased the quote to $600. I then inquired about the cost for just the bathrooms, and they quoted $300. This conversation was documented clearly in text messages. When they arrived, they were surprised to learn they were painting two bathrooms and wanted to charge me more, which I declined. Later, they asked for $450 again. This appears to be a case of price gouging and a sketchy business practice. Be cautious with their pricing and ensure clear communication to avoid unexpected charges. read more

Bought Groupon and tried calling to make appointment but no answer and "mailbox is full". Emailed the company to the email provided on their website and it keeps coming back undeliverable. Don't. Buy a Groupon or try to hire companies like this. Sooooo many bad reviews. read more

Received an estimate, we decided to remove a couple items and he revised the estimate and the prices increased. I asked why and he said it's too far for him (I'm in Raleigh, he's in Durham!) and he's only doing a little (work?). We clarified exactly what we wanted done and asked for an appointment and did not receive a response. I sent a follow up text after not hearing from him for 9 days asking if he's going to do the work and he finally responded that they are very busy and won't have a chance to go! So unprofessional! If it's too far for you to do the work then why show up and give an estimate?! Don't trust this company read more

Never showed. Extremely argumentative when we asked if he was still coming for the scheduled appointment. This is not a real company!!!! It's a dude who doesn't answer his cell phone when you call the "company website" and then proceeds to tell us to "go f*** yourself" when we complain to him about not showing up. HE IS NOT EVEN LISTED ON BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TO MAKE A COMPLAINT!!! He has $150 of our money and we will never see any work. read more

The crew arrived on time to paint 3 bathrooms and remove the popcorn ceiling in one small bath. Must say I am disappointed with the workmanship for this project. They did another project for us in the past and the work was very well done. This time we experienced painted hinges, paint on the floor around the baseboards, several missed areas and areas left where the previous paint showed through. There were several paint drip lines on surfaces as well. The ceiling part dis come out very well! Crew was very polite as well. read more

This is my second time using this company and I really am impressed with their work. The price was affordable, both jobs were OUTSTANDING. They work efficiently and Jose was very patient, kind and answered any and all questions I had. I have 1 last project I will need to be completed in the future and definitly recommend Delia House Services for your interior painting needs. Thank you Delia House Services!! You have transformed my home and I am very thankful and grateful for your professionalism and hard work. Sarah S. read more

We purchased a groupon for $149.00. Prior to May 13th I confirmed for 2pm on today May 31st and determined that despite just getting a bedroom ceiling and bathroom ceiling painted it would be a $50.00 added fee. I attempted to text this business on May 13th as you will see in the screenshot. I ultimately received the following. Actually It wont allow me to attach the screen shot. I was home at 1:30p in preparation for this service, 200 no show no call 235 no show no call and then after finally texting and calling back to back and advising I would report him to the better business bureau he advised and I quote, I don't care my family is first...HUH???? read more

Very unprofessional. Would not issue a work order/invoice in advance. We scheduled a month out, had the paint and rooms ready to go for a 9am appointment. At 8:40, Pedro texts to say three men are out with covid vaccines and can't make it until the afternoon. I ask him what time, and he says 2pm. I say ok. At 1:45pm, he texts to say they are coming at 4pm. He does not explain why. I ask him to call me and he ignores all subsequent texts. I cancelled. Save yourself some trouble and find a reputable establishment. read more

Scheduled a gutter cleaning with Delias for a specific date and time, he didn't show and then when I called he said we never spoke and then proceeded to tell me to "f*** off, go ahead and cancel and good luck getting your money back". Stay far away as I already talked to a few people that said he royally screwed up their walls. Not a reputable worker read more

Paid for one small bathroom to be painted with a Groupon deal. Nothing but problems. I read the small print for the deal and it said only valid for locations 30 miles from 27707. I looked up the distance from my home to that zip code in Durham and the result said 22.2 miles. I gave Pedro at Delia my address first thing on 11/15/22. He scheduled me for 11/29. On 11/29 he texted that he needed to reschedule because his painter said he couldn't come to work that day. I rescheduled for 12/16. I texted Pedro after 6:00 p.m. the night before to confirm. He said he had to reschedule because his painters had an accident. I rescheduled for 12/19. Yesterday, Pedro confirmed the appointed time for 9:00 this morning. Later last night, he sent me a text saying there would be an extra $25.00 charge because the trip is over 30 miles. He sent a screen shot of a distance (avoiding tolls) showing 35 miles. I checked the distance again today and got different results. Two of the results quoted 28 miles distance from 27707 to my home. I told him I did not want to pay an extra $25.00 on top of the $146 I had already paid. He told me if I didn't want to pay, I could get a refund from Groupon. I am stuck with a $58.00 gallon of paint and an unpainted bathroom. I'll contact Groupon but pretty sure they won't refund my money. They will offer "Groupon Bucks" Never again! read more

Great service. Professional, friendly and a good price. The entire first floor of our home including the brick in the fireplace was painted and it looks amazing. Very happy with the job, we plan to use their services again and I'd recommend them to others. read more

The men who did the work were nice, but they did shoddy work. Paint was spilled on the floor and not cleaned up, only one coat applied, with me spending multiple hours cleaning up after them and re painting all the spots they missed or messed up. I would not use them again. read more

Whatever you do DO NOT use this company! My husband purchased a Groupon for a two room deal. We scheduled them 2 weeks in advance, and reconfirmed. On the day they were supposed to show up at 9 am, they never did, then sent a text they would be here at 11. Still nothing by 12. We called them and let them know that I took the day off work for them to be able to paint and they were still not here. The guy replied 'Not my fault' Great! Well, then I guess you can say it's "not my fault" that I will give you a terrible review and tell anyone I can NOT to use them. read more

Definitely will not recommend. Got a quote, scheduled service, and requested while scheduling to have the worker or company provide evidence of insurance for personal injury or liability, as the project required getting on ladders or some form of scaffold in my home. Talked about this three times with the rep who gave me the quote, including when we confirmed the service date (three days before they were to arrive). All three times I was assured they had insurance and would bring it. The night before the scheduled time, supposed to be 8:00 the next morning, I get a text that says the owner "forgot to renew" their insurance policy. They canceled. Clearly I was simply just mislead. This is not honest business (renewing insurance can be done in a day) and turned out to be a huge waste of my time, now having to find another company and let my home project sit undone for another couple weeks. Give your business to someone who will be honest with you. read more

My experiences w Delia have been great, the photos of the cabinets are of my kitchen. I started w a Groupon and was very pleased and ended up now having essentially the entire interior of my home painted as well as my cabinets refinished, which by the way is a major job when done right, which my Delia crew led by Jose did. I have dealt w Pedro on the bids and they stand behind their work. Their prices are very reasonable and all staff I've worked with have been very friendly and want to do a good job. Give them a try! read more

My wife hired Delia using a groupon to paint a small half bath and a small upstairs room. We bought new blue paint for both rooms. After the job was completed there was blue paint splattered all over my new sidewalk on the side of the house. There was also blue paint in the grass behind the house and all over the hose. Why did they clean the materials on the job site? Inside, there was also some paint on the toilet seat and on the silicon around the sink which now looks terrible. Finally, only a single coat was done in the corners which is now a lighter color than the rest of the room - it looks extremely unprofessional. This work was done on Thursday and I called them on Saturday. To their credit, the supervisor apologised and offered to come out right away on Sunday to clean up. I declined as I've already done most of it myself. I didn't want them back here or trying to clean my newly laid sidewalk with a pressure washer or chemicals. I'll have to figure this out next week. read more

NEVER HIRE THEM!! Very unethical. The come and give you the quote and once they start working, they will renegotiate. You can neither discontinue nor go with what has been agreed about. You will end up being in hostile condition and end up paying what they ask for. Not once, not twice, but happened to me 3 times with these painters. No matter, how flexible I was during the original negotiation. They seem ok, before starting the project. But once they start part of the painting, they will start showing their colors. I have shown written quotations on their promises. But the painters on call act as if they don't care for their supervisor's decision. NEVER HIRE THEM read more

I discourage anyone considering using Delia House Services. You will have difficultly setting an appointment, confirming it, and even then, they may not show-up. They only communicate via text message! They do not confirm appointments. They do not abide by ethical business practices. If a customer has informed you that they have taken off work for the appointment, respect their time and honor your word. After scheduling my (1 room Groupon) appointment over a week in advance, only after I contacted them the night before, did they try to reschedule. What professional company does that?! They had no record of my scheduled appointment. They would NOT confirm that they would arrive at the time set for 2.5 hours later than my original appointment. And they never apologized for any of it. When I tried to confirm that they would indeed come at the appointed rescheduled time, the person texted, "you are very complicated better look for another painter." Very rude, callous, and unprofessional behavior. Save yourself the inconvenience! DO NOT USE DELIA HOUSE SERVICES! read more

Bought the deal on living social for them to paint a room. Very easy to contact, they were available in the next couple of days to come out. Arrived exactly on time and did a perfect job painting my room. Very hardworking and fast. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

I had the exact opposite experience. I bought a house power wash from Living Social. The two gentleman who did the work today could not have been more pleasant and professional. Beware of these guys. DO NOT BUY ANY GROUPON FOR THEIR SERVICES. I bought a groupon for two room paint service and reached out to them on the number given on voucher. I wanted to get a two car garage painted using the coupon and did had a call with the owner before purchasing groupon. At that time he said he would do it and would just charge for ceiling. However, I had an appointment for the paint job about 20 days back and when I called two days before to check, they said they don't have me on their calendar. They gave me another appointment and told me that the groupon covers only wall paint and would charge extra for the ceiling to which we agreed that it would be between $100-$150 for the ceilings, apart from the groupon. Then on the day of next appointment, first of all we waited whole day for their arrival as they didn't gave any ETA and we kept on waiting and messaging. Then when they came they started asking us $250 more for the walls and said the groupon would only cover ceiling, totally opposite to what they agreed to. read more
