We stopped in here for burger week and OOOOMMMMMGGGGGEEEEE this is definitely the place to be! From…read morethe service to the burger my experience here was amazing! Let me tell you about our server: -He had a great personality, was extremely personable and made us feel right at home, gave us great menu recommendations, gave us coupons to come back and was just simply great. I regret I don't remember his name (blame it on my age) but, I won't forget his face and will be requesting him the next time we go back. All servers could take a lesson out of his playbook because good service is hard to come by these days! Good servers is not the norm theses days but, our server was awesome! The food: The sever started us off with sweet & spicy pickles. I didn't really know what to expect but, the sweet & salty with the tangy with crunch is great combination. I enjoyed it so much that I've already begun looking online to see where I can get them from lol. Uncle Woody's Ragin Cajun was delicious and a great choice if you want to try something different from your traditional burgers. The bun was super light/fluffy and the perfect pairing the seasoned burger, onions, mushrooms and Cajun aioli. Hubby said the the Patty Melt was good but, would order grilled onions with it next time. So yeah.... go check it out if your in the mood for a burger. I'm going to go back for brunch next time.

It is a true neighborhood bar that is now very clean, staffed with good bartenders, and has taken serious steps to keep the problems far away. Worth a look. Keroeke is a regular thing here. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bar manager seems to really care about a good customer experience.

Wow. This place is a TOTAL surprise, in a good way!…read more Upon entering you'll notice it is super clean, spick and span, and even though I guess you would call it a dive or a saloon the owner is meticulous and really cares about his establishment. Mike (the owner himself) was our bartender for the night and he was incredibly sweet. He shared his story and it had SO much history behind it. Turns out Second Street Saloon gets it's name because it used to be located on second street downtown. After so many years his lease was up and he decided to make the Westside home - hence why this bar does not feel uniquely "west side." He moved every piece of memorabilia he had collected over the 25+ years of owning it into this new location. Now, I usually hate collages and junk on the wall but his are framed and look really nice. There are many framed photos of Cincinnati from the 1800's on. He also had the original door from Second St. framed and hung next to the bar - which by the way is an antique that he had picked out and appraised by the Wooden Nickel. They had more than enough craft beer and local beer available that you got a decent selection but didn't feel overwhelmed. It was also a pint night where you got to keep the glass. We played darts and really had a great time here. At the end of our bar crawl we all agreed that we could have spent the entire night here at Second Street. For what it is, this place gets 5 stars from me, and I can't wait to go back.

When asked kindly, I would happily oblige as I was grateful to have a place open late enough for me to get my work done. Unfortunately, things have changed for the worse. Now, we were asked to leave if we didn't make another purchase despite the fact that we were not even done with our first drinks. As many other reviews have stated, we were berated by the worker about tipping because he told us he only makes $3 an hour. Having worked as a barista myself and knowing many others, I have never known a place to pay baristas (or bartenders) a server's wage rather than minimum wage. Even still, as of 2026 in Ohio the minimum server wage is $5.50. Most likely the worker was lying, but the owner Shawn Brooks should be ashamed of himself and investigated by the U.S. Department of Labor. Also, the worker added extra charges to our bill which is so slimey. For all the complaining about not being able to stay in business if people don't buy multiple items, you will not be able to stay in business if you scare all your customers away. I will never patronize this business again.
