It's clear that the focus of the restaurant is that it should still be a fun pub atmosphere that just happens to serve Indian food. So, looking in from the outside, you wouldn't know that it was an Indian restaurant. But when you walk in and smell it, you'll know. Portions were a little small so expect that you'd need to get a few things to get a full meal out of it. But they are appropriately priced for the portion size. They serve food here tapas-style and I believe you are still meant to share them so the idea is that you get a lot of dishes and eat as you drink copious amounts of beer. The one thing that made this place stand out was their service. It was amazing! During my meal, their card machines broke down and, as a result, I didn't have a way to pay for my food. The manager then comes up to me and says, "It's our fault. Don't worry about it." To be clear, this is only something I'd see in small-town America but never in a major city. So I was surprised that in Scotland's largest city, they were so trusting. (Really earning their reputation as the friendliest city in the UK). I was so touched that I promised I'd return to pay for my meal. I even kept my receipt so they'd know what to charge me. I came back the next morning, paid my bill, and, even though it's not required at all in the UK, I left a big tip as a thank you for trusting me and being so accommodating. When I come back to Glasgow, I will definitely come back.

Easily the best Indian in Lenzie/Kirky area. Food always great quality. Being a regular in the local pub 'Carriages', anyone will know the story of Bubbles and Raul who own the pub, the restaurant and the indian take away. The indian has always been of good quality (slightly expensive but that is expected of Lenzie). However their Italian restaurant was always empty and food was average. Therefore I was surprised at how well and busy their indian restaurant was when it opened. It won an award by the Scottish Curry Awards I decided it was time to try it! The restaurant is nice from the outside and in. It has a deli attached which isn't very indian but it is a nice touch. The place was very busy on a Friday night so I would advise booking. The staff were friendly and attentive. It isn't authentic looking inside but its modern and a nice warm place to be on a cold night! We ordered the chicken pakora to start which was good, however I didn't find anything that made it stand out compared to other chicken pakora I have eaten. I ordered the king prawn tandoor which was tasty. However it was a bit expensive at £16.95. Luckily you get rice included with this dish but the sauce you get with it is not nice with rice so the rice has to be eaten plain. I asked if I could have a mini naan instead of the rice so I could dip it in the sauce, but they were going to charge me more. (even though rice and mini naan was the same price on the sides menu?!) So I ordered a big naan on the side and gave my rice to my boyfriend as he order the chicken tikka korma. Rice is not included with curries so that's another expense. The naan was good and not greasy. My boyfriend enjoyed his curry. My mum got a chicken tikka masala which she felt was a bit bland and my dad got the special lamb curry which he loved. Again the curries were quite pricey when they don't include rice. We never ordered dessert but if I go again I will definitely try their chocolate samosa..nutella filled pastry! Sounds great! However I think I will stick to their take away..food is the same quality but much cheaper!
