The instructor, Kim Henry-Kuehn http://issuu.com/cincinnati/docs/delhi-press-113011 has been teaching Jazzercise for over 20 years, so she knows a thing or two about keeping people in shape. I came directly from work and changed in the bathroom. I would have enjoyed a coat hook or two so that I didn't have to set my stuff on the floor. No big deal. The check in process involved little more than me signing a waiver in case I pulled a hamstring or something. This month (March) is bring a friend free Tuesday I believe. There are specials and deals that change frequently so check their site for more info. http://www.jazzercise.com/specialoffers_uscoupon.htm The 60 minute workout consisted of a warmup, 30 minute aerobic workout followed by a weights section and then cool down. Honestly, it was less of a challenge than I thought it would be, but I do have a bit of calf pain from some of the jumping movements. Good! The doors were left open which provided a nice breeze that kept everyone cool. Once you get the routine down, you can really make the workout harder, I was glad that I could keep up for the most part. The moves aren't too feminine but occasionally I was glad I was in the back of the class. Guys, if you go, don't try the heaviest weights (8 lbs) unless you are in decent shape. Jazzercise focuses more on reps than small sets with heavy weights. I wish the ab workout would have been a little more intense, it felt more like an afterthought in the routine. The music was great, as far as my exercise music tastes go. Lots of top 40 and the occasional slower song made the time go fast. Whatever you do to keep in shape, the key is to be consistent. I think Jazzercise makes it easy to find a convenient time and location, so kudos to them for keeping people in shape. I was glad to take a break from Yelping and have the opportunity to switch up my workout.

Jazzercise is a place where people of all body types and ages can workout without feeling self conscious. I have been doing Jazzercise since I was 14 years old and have never tired of it! Every class is different because the routines and music change so regularly. Its as close to going to a dance club as exercising can get. Many people worry about not being able to follow along with the routines, but they shouldn't. It takes about a week to get the basic moves down and after that routines are easy to pick up with the guidance of the instructor. If you want to learn some of the basic moves before you come, check out these excellent videos: http://www.jazzercise.com/learn_bmoves.htm Depending on how hard you work, you can burn up to 600 calories in a one hour class! The class includes about 40 minutes of aerobics and 20 minutes of stretching and sculpting (arms, abs, and legs). No matter what your fitness level, you will feel the (good) burn at Jazzercise. Talking specifically about this location... It is located in a strip mall in Delhi across from Dueber's Automotive. It is easy to find and there is always plenty of parking. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. There are three instructors that teach at different times. Kim, the owner of the location, teaches the 4:20 and 5:30 classes during the week and the Saturday and Sunday morning classes. She is high energy and knows how to push you to a great work out! The class times are really convenient for me. As a teacher, I can go straight from school to the 4:20pm class. It keeps me from going home and getting lazy and skipping class! I am a walking advertisement for Jazzercise. I have tried almost every fitness program out there and this is the only one that gives me a great workout but keeps me from getting bored. Try it for a week, you will find out you love it!

Do you body a favor and take a Pilates class, then take several more!…read more I was recommend Pilates by my physical therapist after a knee injury and surgery which made it difficult to be as active as I used to be. I had also been experiencing back and shoulder aches and spent 8 months with a chiropractor with no resolution. I took an intro class, they are free and a great introduction of you've never worked with a reformer, I had not. You will also need socks with grips on the soles. The instructor was incredibly helpful and talked out each move and breathing techniques. They have also taken the time to come over and adjust you if your form is wrong (COVID has changed things). All of this is to say that after 3 months of starting Pilates, the pain my shoulder and back are nearly gone, my posture is better (I sit in front of a computer all day), and I have seen a huge difference in what my knee is able to do now compared to my first Pilates class (I had a lot of modifications). Membership: There are several different types of memberships based on number of classes you'd like to attend monthly or weekly. The passport for example is an unlimited membership that allows you to go to any Club Pilates nationwide and costs $259/monthly. Classes: An abundance of experienced instructors and classes. You can book using the app and the login is site specific. This is my only issue with Club Pilates; the old app worked well for me but the 2.0 version does not.

I have a multi-gym pass through my health insurance, and pranced in there yesterday to sign up and take a yoga class. Well, it turns out I misread my plan and Better Bodies is not included! So I try to slink out of there in utter mortification, but Rusty insisted I stay for the yoga class, worked really hard to reduce my embarrassment and never tried to sell me a membership I obviously didn't need. This is why I will return here if my multi-gym pass doesn't work out. Good job, guys! The people you employ represent you well! PS: the yoga class was kickass!

KID'S CLUB STAFF SHOUTOUT. I'm a SilverLake member but I come to BB once a week for basketball. I…read morebring my energetic 2, almost 3, year old son, Nico, every Wednesday around 5:30PM for the past month. They greet him, make him feel welcome, and that's all I expect. But they go way above and beyond. Sometimes I've come down an hour later and they're still engaging with him! He prefers solo play unless it's another toddler he knows so I'm shocked he's playing with them. And I can tell he's getting attention because he doesn't want to leave most of the time. This is never the case at Silverlake, he's always sprinting to the door upset and desperately trying to get out and I only leave him at that Kids Club for only 30 minutes. He was being clingy last week at BB and didn't want to go in (had nothing to do with them, he's just a daddy's boy sometimes), and the employee working the desk was a good sport, reached out her arms, talked him through it, and put up with his whines for who knows how long. I bounced because I knew he was going to cry no matter what we did. I expected them to either reluctantly take him or ask to wait until he's ready, but she was all over it and ready to handle his whiny butt. They're so awesome! It's not that I don't appreciate Silverlake staff at Kids Club because it's an insanely hard job, but the BB staff are just the best. If I had any doubts on keeping my Silverlake membership, BB Kid's Club staff have killed them.
