This place never fails to disappoint us. YOU read it right...disappointment and waste of money. They are doing false marketing of brunch menu on facebook. When we asked about it, manager said it is in menu. The menu does not have any brunch menu section. We placed an order for parantha and waited for 15 min to be told, that they forgot cos of miscommunication. Manager with whom order was placed didnot show his face. Went into hiding and sent other guy to talk. Problem with indian restaurants is that everyone working there show unnecessary attitude and poor service. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The staff is warm and attentive. Sihng, one of their staff members, recognized me outside of his work hours and still too the time to say hello. Went recently for the lunch buffet with a friend and was very disappointed. The food was not as good as I remember in years past when I gave a great review. But the worst thing was that all the plates were dirty. You could see dried food particles on a few of the dishes but you could feel tiny food particles on all of them (I checked about a dozen plates looking for a clean one). I pointed this out to the manager at the time and he took back the stacks of plates to be rewashed but when they came out they were still just as dirty! Really lost my appetite and can't imagine wanting to eat here again unless they fix this problem. I asked the manager to have the owner contact me to relay these concerns to him directly but never received a call. So hopefully he'll see this post and retrain or replace the responsible staff. read more

Very good food. Service is good, but not very friendly or personable. Drink glasses are absolutely tiny. If you order a soft drink, they'll refill it pretty quickly, but you'll finish each glass in one or two gulps. I did think the murg was pretty watery and not nearly as good as Haveli's. read more

I was craving Indian food tonight and didn't feel like driving out to pick up food so I ordered delivery from here via Grubhub. I've never eaten inside and this is my first time ordering from here so I cannot speak of the dining experience. I ordered the vegetable samosa, butter chicken and palak paneer. The food got here on time. I had no issues whatsoever with that. The food was good but the palak paneer fell a little short. I thought it could have been more flavorful but overall, I enjoyed the dishes that I ordered. I hope to get a dining experience inside the restaurant in the near future to try out their buffet. read more

The best Indian food in all of Ashburn hands down. Quality of the food, the freshness of ingredients, the taste, the spice level are all top notch. We took a group of 10 people the other night and ordered a variety of vegetarian dishes. Food was awesome. Seekh kabobs were juicy and soft and on the buffet. The goat curry was tasty and could pass for homemade. The service could improve a bit. Twice we had to ask for water refill and to clear the buffet plates. The sis and I came here for lunch after she wanted to try Korean food next door at the Global Food market, then wimped out after she saw the menu. There are two Indian restaurants right next to each other, and we thought Delhi 6 looked a little bit better from the outside. Apparently, its only been open a month. We had the buffet, which is always my favorite at Indian restaurants because it allows you to try so many different options. Delhi 6 had about 8 vegetarian dishes for the lunch buffet which was nice. I had the Palak Paneer, Dal Makhani, Chana Masala and some sort of curry dish that I don't remember the name of. All were wonderfully spiced! It was a bit more spicy than other Indian restaurants I've been to in the past, but I don't have a complaint about that at all because I love spice! The Paneer was awesome. I noticed it didn't seem as "crumbly" as other Paneers I've had in the past. It said on their menu that its home made, so maybe that's why. The Dal Makhani was full bodied and buttery. I don't think I've ever had a Dal Makhani so rich in flavor. The sis had chicken marsala along with the dishes I tried, and was happy with her food as well. The naan was puffy, soft and warm. I wish I could have eaten more, but wasn't able to get one more bite in by the time I left. Oh, and bonus: for lunch you can get the buffet to go. I recently hosted a Diwali dinner party for friends and chose to cater from Delhi 6. The food was amazing and my friends raved about how delicious it all was. We over ate of course! We ordered quite the selection from Delhi 6 - we started with a mixed appetizer platter which included deliciously flaky samosas, perfectly spiced seekh kebabs and tandoori fish tikka which was quite simply some of the best fish tikka I've had in a long time. We then moved on to a mix of entrees (which we served buffet style) including chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, dal makhani and lamb biryani. I had asked for everything to be mildly spiced because a lot of my friends can't do uber spicy Indian food and the flavor of each dish was still distinct and noticeable. The quality of the dishes were amazing, and our naan and roti bread baskets were perfectly fluffy. For dessert we ordered off menu (jalebi, yum!) and the management at Delhi 6 we're very obliging and provided a large tray for us to enjoy. I was blown away by the quality of the food (which can sometimes get lost in catering / bulk orders) and the excellent customer service we received. All of my friends have pledged to make the trip out to the restaurant because they loved the food so much! read more

I took advantage of a Groupon deal for Delhi 6 and I'm glad I went. Plenty of different meat and vegetarian dishes, appetizers and desserts. I went with Dhania Chicken which is an onion and cilantro dish and the flavor profile was incredible! Would definitely recommend. They can make any dish from mild to spicy - for those who do not like a spicy dish. The wait staff is incredible. We were checked on multiple times - not too much, it was just right. Our server made a few recommendations for entrees and I will be trying the other recommendation on my next visit. Definitely a place to visit if you enjoy Indian cuisine. read more

I created a Yelp account specifically to give Delhi 6 an amazing review. For other foodies that haven't yet found the perfect Indian restaurant just yet, this is a wonderful restaurant for those that are going in for their first Indian cuisine experience, and for those that have grown up with such incredible flavors. I had the opportunity to sample two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts, all of which had the right amount of spice and aroma to keep you eating and wanting more, even if you're full! (FYI--The portions are amazing!) Additionally, the decor is absolutely stunning, and you can tell they keep the restaurant impeccably neat. The smallest details, beginning with how beautifully done their menus are (with pictures!), let you know that this wasn't just a regular business venture. This restaurant is here to spread love, and foodie joy to all who seek it.. Also, if you come from a big family, the space is HUGE so this is the place for your next get together! Last, but certainly not least... the staff must absolutely be commended. As a person of the Hospitality Industry, I must say that they were all incredibly attentive, helpful, and personable. It's rare that you find an entire team that works closely, and cohesively to deliver the best service possible, but this place has done it. I found this place while browsing Groupon deals and saw the reviews here before I finally decided to give it a try. As most people know, Groupon deals aren't always a reflection of good restaurants. Let me tell you, this place was spectacular. We went at 9pm on a Friday night. Most places give you the last of the bucket so to speak.. not here. We started out with the Samosa Chat (yum) and the the Keema Naan which was fresh straight out of the oven. I also got the Mango Lasse. OMG, they use fresh mango. For our meal, we got the Lamb Saag and Butter Chicken. Both were spot on. The Saag could have used a tad bit more methi but that's my own personal preference but the lamb was super fresh and melted in my mouth. It had layers of flavors that made it impossible to stop eating. The Butter Chicken had that undeniable delicious tang that's almost impossible to duplicate at home. Because the meal was so good, we decided to indulge in some Rasmali and Galub Jamun. Both super fresh and delicious. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. It's officially replaced our other go-to place when we want an Indian fix without making it at home. read more

We have eaten here a few times, several times delivered, once or twice takeout, and one sit down. The food is decent, sometimes the chicken can be a bit overcooked (better than undercooked!) We generally order naan with two meals (butter chicken, chicken tikka masala usually) since those are the most generic items without getting something funky :) We usually pick up now, since delivery usually takes a while, and can end up badly, meaning, you might get the wrong meals, cold, late, and starving. We received some random dish one night instead of our chicken tikka masala, and it was really overly spicy. Recommend picking up personally. The price for value is not really there either. I can easily spend $40-50 on a meal for two with naan, and I just do not feel satisfied. I need to find an alternative in the area! read more

I've tried pretty much every single Indian restaurant in the Ashburn/Broadlands area. I stopped my Indian fare nomadic ways when I found Ashburn Grill & Kabob, which evolved into Delhi 6. Growth and success is well deserved; best Indian food in the Ashburn area, and I would dare to say it is probably still the best if you go beyond the 20147. I go every week, and EVERY time I go through the door, Brij and Singh make me feel at home... They don't even ask what I would like to drink, they just bring it. Amazing food; flavors, textures, consistency is on point, with the right blend of spices that allows you to savor the base on the dish, without overpowering it. The Naan? Addictive. Just enjoyed their lunch buffet. Great value for $9! There was a vegetarian section in addition to a meat section, each with 4-5 dishes. Standouts included the lamb biryani and the chef special veg curry. Don't forget to try the curd rice, which is rice mixed with yogurt. I will give credit where credit is due. Delhi 6 redeemed itself in my books. After much research I decided to host my daughter's first b'day party at Delhi 6. Over 80 guests, spectacular food, super-attentive service ... made for an amazing evening !! Food: For apps we got Chicken Tikka, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Papdi Chaat, Masala Noodles and Pakoras. Everything was great, the meat was flavored to perfection and cooked just right. The guests raved about the noodles. For entrees we had Butter Chicken, Lamb Roganjosh, Veg Jalfrezi, Dal Makhani, and Chicken Biryani. Everything was spot on. The service was the highlight of the evening, Brij and his team were on point making sure the food was hot and adequate. The tables were constantly cleaned and the bar was serviced all night. This one is an out and out 'DELHI'. Dined a few times and my family (especially my 5 year old) is in awe of it's 'Palak Paneer'. Located in the heart of Ashburn, it is worth a try, especially for it's vegetarian dishes. The 'Baigan Bharta' (Spicy Eggplant curry) is a MUST to try. One of the finest among Northern VA restaurants. I would always prefer a 'Buffet' as the variety was pretty good. Could also notice variety in their non-veg items. One thing I liked about this place was that I didn't feel heavy with the curries as we normally did at other places assuming they put whipped cream etc. Other Paneer curries were good too.
