Regular insulation was used under our home and what we now see is a lot of it looks old, some newly added by the previous homeowner, and some downright decrepit. With the freezing blowing wind (or who are you kidding, even wind at 50 degrees) coming from under our home, our 1st floor was freezing. The drafts coming in from all angles was absolutely insane, and I worried about my poor little puppy as he slept in his crate on that very cold floor (we kept him warm of course). That said, we were referred to Rocket and, just after a handful of hours, I can already feel a difference in our home. On top of that, they were beyond professional, courteous, cleaned up every inch of any mess they made - and worked quickly and efficiently. I can't wait to now do my attic as well! We also worked with Mary Anne beforehand who came to measure our home and give us a quote - she's been so easy to work with, always answering any of my questions quickly, and just all in all if you want a good (great) company for your insulation needs (or waterproofing - or anything else they do) I would absolutely recommend Rocket. I was informed that staff had been instructed to immediately hang up if I called. That directive, I was told, came directly from the founder and principal owner, Peter K. Other than my conversations with Haley, this has been the worst professional experience of my life. This project was supposed to be completed on January 19, yet I am still dealing with the consequences of what was presented to me as finished work. Much of what was described as "nearly complete" has since had to be removed and repaired properly. Systems that should never have failed did -- including a thermostat that burned out as a result of the work performed. The financial overhang this has created is substantial and entirely avoidable. Beyond the fact that most of the workmanship had to be repaired again -- and was largely substandard -- I discovered a piece of white flex tape being used to hold part of a wall together. That is not a professional repair. That is a temporary patch presented as completed construction. When structural or finish elements are being secured with tape instead of proper materials and methods, it raises serious concerns about competence and safety. The issue here is not just poor workmanship. It is the refusal to communicate, the dismissal of legitimate concerns, and the deliberate avoidance of accountability. When a company accepts significant payment for skilled labor, it assumes the responsibility to complete the work properly and to stand behind it. I am documenting this to ensure transparency and to provide an accurate account of what occurred. Consumers deserve professionalism, safety, and basic respect.

I knew the insulation in my attic was a mess and antiquated as my house was built around 1970(average for Long Island). One of my children's bedroom is over my two car garage and I had no idea what type(if any) of insulation was in the ceiling of the garage, under my daughters bedroom. My home is a splanch so I also have a half bathroom in the rear of the house, off the kitchen which was also always very cold but less worrisome since nobody slept in it. Chris and Kyle came in to do an audit, they are were professional, honest and efficient . They quickly identified the spots I mentioned and found even more spots where they can make a huge difference. We sat down and went over the options financially, how long it would take, if there would be holes in the Sheetrock etc. There was never any pressure and they answered all our questions professionally. He assured us that beside the garage, there would be no holes anywhere (in the garage they would spackle all the holes so all I had to do was touch up )and all the rest of the work would be from the outside and the attic. I have twin 2.5 year olds so timing was important, they promised me it would take 2 days max and they would even do one day on a Saturday to help us out. Install day came and they delivered everything they promised, and more! Their crew was professional, timely, efficient and left the place as clean as it was when they entered. We were used to going into my daughters room when she woke up, and feeling the cold. On most nights the thermometer in her room would read 63/64degrees, even though the thermostat in the hallway was set at and reading 70 degrees. They sealed all the high hats and breaches. They filled it with blown cellulose to R49. Which has settled now after a few months. Not the R49. They came back 5 times to redo items that were not properly done. The AC problem is not what we were hoping for. Better somewhat. They recommended a larger fan to exhaust bathroom moisture. Not resolved. We spent over 15g . Not really happy with the outcome. We will have to hire an engineering company to access whatever is necessary to fix this problem.

He was very responsive with his text messages and calls. When I offered him the job his team came by and did an excellent job. They were on time and Joe explained in detail what was being done. He was also very clean in laying down sheets, vacuuming and cleaning up after themselves. The only thing I disliked was they did not have shoe covers to walk around the house BUT like I said, they cleaned up after themselves, so not a big deal. Everything was about, "you've got to sign by tomorrow or you'll lose this great price". It wasn't a great price. According to him It was supposed to cost $6800 but if I had less than a certain income then it miraculously dropped to $3500 to do various insulations around the house, about half a day's work. The way the proposal was written it sounded very involved, but it was essentially insulating the attic and caulking around the house. That's a ton of money for that work. He then called me constantly, pushing for me to sign. When I finally told him I don't react well to these kind of deadlines he said "have a nice day" and hung up. This company is preying on people who don't know pricing and fall for their sales pitch.
