Approximately 13 months ago, we had windows and new gutters installed by this company. Shortly after the installation, we noticed that the gutter along the side of our building, next to the kitchen, was pooling water because of the way it had been installed over a small portion of our roof. As a result, the gutter began leaking into our kitchen and caused damage to our kitchen ceiling. We contacted the company and made three separate appointments to have the issue addressed. Unfortunately, all three appointments were canceled by the technician. Despite repeatedly trying to get this problem resolved, we are now more than a year later and still dealing with damage caused by their installation. Today, we made a fourth attempt to have the damage repaired. My wife initially called and was told by the corporate office that the next available appointment was not until October 7. I was extremely disappointed with that response, so I called back and spoke with a very nice young woman who again confirmed that October 7 was the earliest available appointment. I explained that this was completely unacceptable. By October, it will have been approximately 15 months since the original work was completed. We should not have to wait 15 months to have damage repaired that resulted from the company's own installation. She then offered an alternative: we could find three contractors to provide estimates, submit those estimates to the company, and they would reimburse us. While I appreciated her attempt to find a solution, I explained that this was also unacceptable. We are the customers. We paid this company to perform the work correctly, and now, more than a year later, we are being asked to take time away from our work schedules to locate three contractors, arrange appointments, obtain estimates, and submit additional paperwork--all because of a problem caused by their installation. I also explained that when we initially reported the problem, the company should have taken care of it. Instead, they scheduled three separate appointments and canceled each one. Now we are being told that they are not an emergency service and therefore cannot send someone out immediately. While I understand that they may not consider this an emergency, the situation should never have reached this point in the first place. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unfair. We hired this company, paid for the work, and trusted them to do the job correctly. Instead, their installation resulted in damage to our home, our repeated attempts to have the problem corrected were unsuccessful, and we are now the ones being asked to jump through hoops to resolve an issue that we did not cause. At this point, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using this company read the reviews carefully before signing a contract. Unfortunately, our experience has been consistent with many of the concerns we are now seeing in those reviews. We should not have to spend more than a year fighting to get a company to address damage resulting from work they performed on our home.

Ordered Dry Wall Tuesday and paid over the phone- sales person said it would be delivered…read moreWednesday. Sales person was made fully aware this was a city address, Wednesday comes- no drywall. Called back and they promised it would be delivered Thursday. Thursday morning a truck does arrive and it's too wide to fit down the street so they don't even attempt to deliver and they turn around and go back. We watched this happen, again no communication. Note, while it is a one way city street, this is not one of those narrow alley ways. It's frequently traveled and there are several restaurants and grocers on the street and most trucks can fit down it just fine. We call again and they said they would deliver it Friday. Friday comes and goes and we have to call again asking where the drywall is- apparently it's now our fault for not calling them to let them know when the street would be clear... WTF? A. that was never mentioned in any of the other calls B. It's a city-the street will never be clear and we have no jurisdiction to make it so. They said they need a 12 foot space to unload- my van is 15 feet and easily moveable so that wouldn't have been a problem if they actually came or communicated with us at all ahead of time to let us know that's what they needed. Nothing they can do now until Monday(except take our money- so glad the charge on the card cleared). Now all the man power we had lined up to install the drywall prior to us moving in is a waste. Their mantra of "on time delivery" is a complete farce.While the company isn't required to care about how this affects us or our timing at all, they should care about their reputation and living up to their business motto. This company is severely lacking in the customer service and communication department. If you decide to go with them expect to stay on your toes and be proactive about communicating. Do not expect on-time delivery so maybe call a week in advance of when you were planning on needing the drywall. And if something does go awry expect to be blamed for it.

We had to cross over this strange little rickety bridge looking thing which isn't even really paved. Thank goodness my husband was in the car with me because it looked very sketch and I definitely would have thought I was in the wrong spot and turned around if I was by myself. He told me to keep going...and I did...and we arrived at Orlandini. The hilarious thing is they actually have a sign saying something to the effect of yes, this is really it! I cracked up when I saw it. The parking lot is humongous. it looks like a warehouse from the outside. It isn't particularly branded. I am just giving you the most detailed account I can so you know what to expect when you approach it because I was not expecting it at all. It's not unsafe or anything, it just wasn't what I anticipated and it threw me off. There is a normal glass door that we walked through to enter. Upon entering we were surrounded by tile. There are a few different sections; a front, a middle and a back. Someone said hello to us and let us know someone would be with us in a moment. We started perusing on our own. We didn't notice any particular organization method to how the tile was arranged in the store. Without any guidance we really didn't know what we were getting into outside of just seeing what we liked. We had four separate choices in our hands before someone was able to help us. We asked some questions and got some answers. He looked at the tile in my hands and immediately told me that we had some of the more expensive tile picked out (of course). I was already pretty attached to my top choices by that point so we asked for prices. We gave him the measurements our contractor took and he told us to give him a minute and then he gave us price points for each tile. What I really appreciated was that we could take the tile with us so we could see it in our home with our lighting and our paint, etc. That was huge! They took our information to ensure that the tile would be returned. If we didn't return it, we would have been charged for it. They told us to have it back in approximately 3-4 days. We wanted to keep one of them longer so we returned the other three and he told us it wasn't a problem to keep the 4th a bit longer. He also gave us a collection of grout samples to choose from. I know nothing about tile so that was unexpected for me. lol When we walked around Home Depot with the winning sample we got lots of compliments on it! One couple asked if we got it at HD. We told them no and referred them to Orlandini and they put it in their phone to head over. They have a much more expansive selection to choose from at Orlandini. Home Depot and Lowe's all have pretty basic stuff to choose from and not much of a selection. If you are looking to go out of the box I would highly recommend Orlandini. When it was time to order our (original) contractor called and gave all of the specs to the employee and then handed the phone off to me. I gave my credit card info and we were good to go! He called the (original) contractor when the tile was in and he went to pick it up for us. We had the perfect amount. There was hardly any waste. We didn't like the "pencil" our (original) contractor ordered (without us seeing it) and they let us return it which we appreciated. We couldn't return the one slab of tile we had leftover because it was a special order. It was on the pricey side but that was my own fault for having expensive taste. I do think it would be a good idea to have the tile arranged by price level so when you are walking around by yourself you have an idea of what you're getting in to. I guess they wouldn't luck out with people like me, then. lol. It would also probably be pretty difficult to keep track of that system with people taking tile in and out on a regular basis. The tile came in pretty quickly, was great quality and looks amazing in our kitchen! We are super happy with the finished product. My husband said it looks even better than he anticipated. Their hours aren't the most convenient for people that are working. They stated their hours are different because of covid. Fortunately I am working from home and my boss let me leave a little early so I was able to get there before they closed. But you will need to plan to get there before 4:00 because that's when they close. Covid protocol: masks are required. Since they aren't a big box store they weren't crowded (at least whenever we were there they weren't) which makes it easy to social distance from other customers. There were only a couple of people in there when we were and they weren't close to us. No temperature checks and I don't recall seeing hand sanitizer but that doesn't mean it wasn't there somewhere and that I just didn't notice. I recommend Orlandini for all of your tile needs. When we had pictures and a clear vision for what we wanted, the staff was able to quickly show us some options and make picking that project quick and easy. For the kids project, they were able to interact with us as well as our kids and figure out what they liked. The staff took time to ask questions and interact with the kids so that they could understand what they wanted. When that was done, they actually gave us some less expensive options to look at since the kids picked some of the most expensive accent tile in the showroom. Please try this supplier.
