As a new first-time home owner, I was dealing with a leaking window. At the time, I had very little knowledge of home repairs, so I reached out to Boates Brothers, and they sent someone out to take a look at the window. The gentleman suggested that I caulk the window myself so that I could save money. I really appreciated the honesty and tips. I caulked the window as suggested, but it kept leaking. I reached back out to Boates Brothers, and they again sent someone out. As they looked over the window, I was told they wouldn't be able to identify the cause of the leak until after they ripped off all of the siding. The gentleman asked if I wanted him to replace the windows while the siding was off, since that would be the best time to do it. I declined because the windows were nearly brand new, and again, I had no knowledge about home repairs. At no point was any testing ever done to identify the source of the leak. I'm not sure why the gentleman couldn't use a hose to help locate the leak. Regardless, I went ahead with the recommended repair. After spending over 3 thousand dollars, I was told they found the source of the leak, and one of the contractors gave me his "stamp of approval" and assured me it would never leak again. I was very happy with the work until the next rain storm, and saw that the window was still leaking. I reached back out to Boates Brothers, and their response insinuated that it was my fault for declining to have the windows replaced. I am not a contractor, nor do I have the knowledge of the repairs. Never once did they say that the window was the cause of the leak. In fact, they told me the opposite. I hired them to find the source of the leak; it was not my responsibility to do so. Instead of offering to fix their work, they wanted to charge me an additional $2,500 to do the project all over again. I feel that they saw a young couple who were first-time homeowners and decided to take advantage of me. I strongly suggest avoiding this company at all costs

Now a year later and there are still problems including whole pieces of siding falling off. Each time a repair is needed for their shoddy work, it takes an average of FOUR MONTHS for them to come out to address it. They are totally unapologetic about this kind of delay in service. When you first inquire, they'll be all over you trying to reach you to make sure they seal the deal. The minute you need assistance with repairs it's a completely different story. Buyer beware! Please avoid this company.

No matter who takes your information to pass it on, Dave and his manager will never call you back. Windows were purchased through them for my dad's company for the house he was flipping. They originally quoted them a certain price to install the windows that were purchased. Since it's now my house and no longer being worked on by the same contractor, they won't honor that price. My contractor now has been calling constantly too for a call back. Would not use archer if I were redoing the house again. Worst customer service and beyond unprofessional.

They walked us through all the options, gave estimates for everything, even took drone shots of our roof so we could see exactly what work they proposed and why. They installed a rubber roof on our low-slope kitchen addition and did a very nice job of it. The one hiccup was that a contractor forgot to clean up all the nails before leaving. To my surprise, the owner of the company personally came out to apologize and went around our back yard with a magnet to clean up the remaining debris himself.
