We had to cancel a few appointments due to holiday travel. Then after we cancelled an appointment due to my son having the flu we received an email that we were being kicked out of the practice for missing too many appointments. When they calculated the number of appointments missed they included appointments the provider cancelled due to her own travel plans. We attempted to reschedule appointments every time (either when we had to cancel or the provider did) and were told there was no availability to reschedule. When we had to cancel appointment for Christmas we gave at least 2 weeks of advanced notice. When we had to cancel due to illness that was out of our control. Luckily there are plenty of speech pathology providers in our area and we will go elsewhere. read more

Powell office - I have had good, thorough evaluations and timely rechecks. I have needed more batteries & they are available when I call. I visited the Delaware office for an issue & had good service. I would recommend them. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The only positive about this place is the receptionist who at least tried and appeared quite genuine. Per their Facebook, their "audiologists want to provide a unique and personal experience for our patients by treating them in a comfortable atmosphere that feels like home." Unique and personable, yes. Comfortable, absolutely not. Having relocated back to Ohio from AZ, I was in need of an audiologist to adjust settings on my hearing aids. After researching online and finding positive reviews, I elected to give Delaware Speech and Hearing a try. The consensus- I will never return to their establishment. The office itself is less to be desired but I recognize that the environment itself does not necessarily correlate to provider quality. After completing paperwork I asked the receptionist if they had a medical release form so that my prior audiograms and hearing aid settings could be provided to the audiologist as a reference point. She was unsure of this but then I remembered that I had record stored on the patient portal for the organization that previously provided my services. I attempted to access my portal but didn't remember the password. I was prompted to use face recognition so that I could access my medical file. Immediately after pulling my mask down for face recognition, I was scolded and told "YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR MASK UP NOW!" I responded "okay" while trying to access the medical record through the app. She quipped, "NO! WE HAVE VERY STRICT POLICIES. YOU NEED TO PULL YOUR MASK UP!!!" The way she spoke to me was quite the opposite of treating patients in a "comfortable environment that feels like home." There is no berating in my home and I was NOT made to feel comfortable by this employee who I found out was the audiologist I was scheduled to be evaluated by. Frankly, the way she spoke to me made me very upset. I angrily demanded that she not speak to me this way but she did not respect my request. I then proceeded to tell her that I am a healthcare provider and am fully aware of COVID guidelines. That I was trying to access my audiology records and instead of speaking to me as she did, to ask questions first instead of reacting. This is when she attempted to assert herself by responding, "I am a provider, I am the audiologist!" That was when I immediately replied that there was no way I would allow her to be involved in my care whatsoever. I thanked the receptionist for her hard work and stated to both employees that I will be taking my business elsewhere. It was only then that the audiologist replied, "I am really sorry for this." I responded to her by telling her that she was rude and "shame on you!" Unfortunately this was a huge waste of time and still I have hearing aids settings that need adjusted. I will NOT be returning. Let this be a teaching point on treating patients with dignity and respect. read more
