The woman who answered said it's not actually microsuction and that they either use irrigation or a special tool. I asked so a curette spoon (just a tiny ear spoon) and irrigation, which she confirmed saying suction machines are more common in ENT offices. I thanked her for the information, apologized for calling, and stated that the website needed updated since there's no suction. She hung up on me. If anyone is interested it's $25 for the spoon and $30 for the water method there.

My daughter's wedding was coming in July so I discussed getting a Halo treatment and Botox touch up in June, 3 weeks before the wedding. This was supposed to give my skin a nice fresh glow and touch up for wrinkles. Something went terribly wrong! Whether this had anything to do with having the treatments done at the same time or whether it was human error in the placement of the Botox in the crow's feet area, I have lip incompetence and lost my smile for my daughter's wedding. My daughter and I had to grieve the loss of my smile; it has been one of the worst experiences of my life! We will either have to have photoshopping done or family pictures retaken once, hopefully, the Botox wears off. I know of course that this was not intentional but that does not change the outcome. I have sought the advice of other aesthetic providers and have been told that most aesthetic practices do not perform both procedures at the same time. I had substantial swelling after the Halo and Botox treatments which I was told was normal. I went in to see Jackie and was told it was an inflammatory response to the Halo treatment which should resolve itself, and it could not have been the Botox because I could still purse my lips. I had another appointment after two rounds of steroids and there was no improvement. It became very clear at that time that Botox was the source of the problem. On a final follow up phone call Jackie mentioned that she had wanted to see me on that previous appointment to assess potential nerve damage. While that is listed as a risk, I was not told for sure whether there was or was not nerve damage. I certainly hope that is not the case. I would highly recommend waiting between treatments if you are considering Halo and Botox and also be cautious of recommendations. When I raised concerns about medications being prescribed and referenced the actual FDA labeling, the response was not clarification or discussion, but outright dismissal. There was no willingness to engage with evidence or explain clinical reasoning. Input from the patient was clearly unwelcome and seemed like she took any input personally. The interaction was tense and adversarial. The tone was defensive and combative, and I felt spoken to in a way that was dismissive and degrading rather than professional. Asking reasonable, informed questions was treated as a problem instead of a normal and appropriate part of medical care. What was most alarming was the complete lack of openness to being questioned or corrected, even when objective information was presented. That alone made me deeply uncomfortable trusting any aspect of the care being provided. To compound the experience, the billing felt excessive and disproportionate to the quality of care and communication I received, leaving me with serious concerns about priorities at this practice. I left feeling stressed, unheard, and shaken by how poorly I was treated for simply advocating for myself. Patients who value evidence-based medicine, respectful communication, and being treated with basic dignity should think very carefully before scheduling here.

Then let's talk front desk...why are most doctor offices rude when it comes to the front desk? They offer no guidance when asking questions (even though their options in the phone go to them regarding questions) and claim the patient is always rude even though they are the ones with an attitude coming at you like you are nothing.
