We needed furniture moved from our 4 bedroom condo to a storage facility. Kermit was very…read moreresponsive in getting a team lined up with relatively short notice. Mitchell and his crew were punctual, courteous, and very skilled in moving our furniture with care -- including an upright piano. We were impressed with the way they strategically packed our items in the storage area. And Focus is very reasonably priced. We highly recommend Focus Movers to others.

I am up and down about my experience with Focus Movers…read more First, for some reason they had me down twice for moving. Once on Monday and the second was on Wednesday (the day that i wanted) of the same week. Weird and doesn't make sense. Second, my appointment was set and confirmed with the office guy (the day before) for at 9am but on the day of the move, i get a call from the driver that he wouldn't get there till 9:45am and he didn't show up till 10:15am. The guys that moved me were very friendly, nice and courteous. Lastly, i was unaware that they didn't accept a check as a form of payment (which they should tell everyone during the confirmation call, what forms of payment they accept) so i had to use a credit card and they charged a 10% convenience fee! Crazy amount of money!!! Normally convenience fees are to cover the cost of processing the card, not to make money off of it! All and all, i feel like the communication needs to be better with them which were the root of all my issues. The actually moving part, they did an excellent job just poor communication.

This was the first time I used this company for moving. The 3 gentleman that were doing my move…read morewere incredibly kind and respectful of not only myself, but my items. They were working hard the whole time. The job took longer than I expected because I didn't realise how much I had and I had them stop at my storage unit. They worked all the way through without any issues. I will use this company again for my next move.

We were surprised by the amt of our estimated moving costs of a smallish 3 bdrm apartment. But we…read morewere told by the salesman during our estimate visit that our bill would be adjusted down from the original estimate after the move if there wasn't as much work for the movers to do. Because we needed to decrease our bill as senior citizens, we spent weeks laboring and moved almost all of our boxes ourselves, the movers only had 15 small boxes to move- not our 3 bdrm household full! We also moved these items by ourselves before moving day: All our clothes, shoes, all our wall art, all linens, table lamps. 2 of 3 TVs, 2 of 3 mirrors, all outdoor decor (bird bath, bird feeders, etc), pots & pans, all dishes, all small appliances, silverware, serving dishes, food, every single item from kitchen, contents of all dressers/drawers, and many small tables by ourselves prior to moving day. No boxes or supplies from the moving company were used except one big tv box. The day after our move our credit card was charged $1400 without our permission. This, after we had already paid a deposit on estimate day! We were charged a total of $1,582 to move 9.5 miles and the truck was less than half full! It took a grand total of 3 hrs. I've written several emails to the company and the salesman and got no reply except the salesman said he forwarded it to the owners. This is 2 weeks and nothing back. And there is a nick on the edge of our white dresser in the guest room that came from the movers we noticed after they left. We also told the owners about that. No reply. The 3 movers were nice men and we tipped them each a $20 bill. We are unhappy with this charge and lack of communication with this company. We have used movers in the past and had very good service and communication but tried a local company this time. I'm very sorry we did!

The loaders did not secure, or pad a single piece of our furniture which all got damaged in transit. I didn't see it all till it was unloaded. The owner, Chris, implied that I should have told him sooner as if it were my responsibility to babysit his "professionals". These guys had no idea what they were doing and only cared about doing things quickly. I sent a slew of photos to the owner. He said he cut the guys that did our move but I want replacement furniture and my $1100.00 back. It appears he is ghosting me and has no concern for accountability or simply doing the right thing. i hope this review helps someone from making the mistake of hiring them. They are not "stress free moves".

I used Chris to move on 3/17/2026. I have a lot of things, so he brought 4 guys (including…read morehimself). I used two of his guys when I moved in December of 2024 and they were great, which is why I chose to use him again. Unfortunately, this time things did not go well. The 3 guys he brought were young punks. They did not listen to anything I asked them to do. They always did the opposite. They were careless and were running furniture into walls. They bent the door jam on my old bedroom door. I caught it and made them bend it back. I got after them numerous times in the new apartment because they were trying to drag furniture and the dolly across the new plank flooring. They damaged items. They ripped the lid on one of my reptile aquariums. There are items that are still missing. The highlight of the day was when the one kid packed the keys to my new apartment, my car keys, and daily medications that were sitting on the kitchen counter into a box and threw the box on the uHaul. We had to call the lockout service to get into the new apartment. Then we had to search through boxes. It had gotten late, so they basically staged most of my belongings in the garage. They said they would come back the next day to finish. He sent two of the kids back the next day, but it was more of them not listening and putting everything opposite of where I wanted it. They were also being careless again. The one was trying to unpack when I wasn't paying for an unpacking service. So, I cut them loose and said I didn't need them anymore. I still have furniture in the garage that has not been put into place. Then at the end of the day when I paid him through Zelle, we forgot to take off my $200 deposit, so Chris was overpaid $200. I ended up paying him $2,401. He tried treating day 2 as a brand-new project with different rates and minimum hours. I said no because it was what should have been done the day before. Afterwards I was in contact with him regarding the $200 overpayment and the damaged/missing items. He said he would make things right, but then he ghosted me. I tried disputing the Zelle transaction, but you can't dispute Zelle transactions. All in all, it was a bad experience. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I was disappointed with Chris' dishonesty. I didn't think he was like that.
