It's…read morelocated in an almost hidden residential area which has a handful of offices and retail businesses, so not the type of place you'd find unless you were specifically looking for it. They have multiple doors to enter which was confusing, so I had to double back to the counter where you actually had to order drinks. The interiors are spacious. inviting, and modern, as evidenced by the nearly 30 people I saw camped out at tables working away at their laptops or holding video conferences. They also have a nice outdoor patio space as well. I went with an order of a half sweet iced mocha latte. There's an additional charge for any added flavoring, so the drink set me back over $7 (before any tip). While I don't mind paying a bit extra for a great drink, I felt it was very average in taste and probably would have received better from a chain coffee shop. Service from the staff was friendly. I felt this is one of those more modern workspace coffee shops that's lost in a bit of an identity crisis with some market and prepared food items. Perhaps I'm just not their target clientele given they seem to have a loyal following, but felt Chestnut Coffee House was a pretty average and slightly overpriced drink experience for me.

We stopped in again Sunday, and even though the place was BUSY, the service was still top-notch. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Nobody gave off that "please don't ask me another question" busy-day energy. This time we tried the sampler with four different ice cream flavors, which is perfect when your brain says, "Just pick one," but your stomach says, "Why limit ourselves?" And then came the funniest part of the visit. She told us one of the flavors was caramelized pineapple... and somehow I heard Spider-Man. LOL. I have absolutely no idea how my brain got from caramelized pineapple to Spider-Man, but once I said it, the whole family lost it. We were all cracking up. So now, whether they like it or not, that flavor will probably forever be known as "the Spider-Man ice cream" in our house. LOL. Of course, we also had to get the Sunny Mango again. That drink is AMAZING and has officially become one of our must-orders. My daughter went with the birthday cake ice cream in a waffle cone and absolutely loved it. Great treats, great atmosphere, and even better people. The fact that they handled a busy Sunday this well says a lot. We visited Sole twice on our recent trip to Greenville and loved both the coffee and the service…read more On our second visit, when we were about to leave for an 8.5 hr drive home, we unfortunately arrived right after some folks who were trying to order at least *20 drinks* (I kid you not) for people but hadn't actually written down what they needed... which was not only painful to listen to but made us worry that we'd be there for an hour while that order got fulfilled. But, the owner remembered us from a couple days before (and that we were out-of-towners) and while someone else was helping them, got our order started for us so it was already ready and we just paid for it once the Pokey People were done putting in their order. So we were out in just a couple more minutes. Now THAT is excellent service. I particularly recommend the pistachio latte and nutella lattes, both delicious!

At the door is a wise saying, on a sign, by the proprietor, Giacomo , that we met. Translation: "Tout le monde veut gagner jusqu'à ce qu'ils se rendent compte du nombre de défaites qu'il faut." Or "Everyone wants to win until they realize how many defeats it takes." We had a wonderful conversation with Giacomo discussing our trip to Italy and my passion, Italian cars. He told us that he also has live music on the patio, on occasion. The espresso and croissants were delicious. If we lived in the area I would make this a weekly stop. I am not surprised that every review is 5 stars. They are well deserved! Highly recommend and wish Giacomo much success.
