their food is horrible. its actually ass. its so bad i called the restaurant to tell them it was bad i was in shock. me and my cousin and my sister were hungry and got del taco. it was disgusting we literally didnt eat it we had to throw it away. the salad had bad lettuce, the "carne" was literally mushy frozen old and inedible, the guac is brown and unseasoned. My sisters burrito had old stiff rice and burnt ends. when we opened the burrito we were literally disgusted and stopped eating it looked like they scooped it out of a dirty drain. Im not being dramatic. The fries were edible but raw and cold. the cheese is literal shredding plastic do not order from here fr. Like ong we all got diharrea for 3 days n we ate like 3 bites. Went there for a quick bite after shopping in the plaza. While I do like their food...basically a step above some Taco Bell (most of the time), I was really kind of disappointed today. Service was great, the place wasn't busy but the dining room was pretty bad. While looking for a place to sit all the table tops had a gross, white film on them like someone had wiped all the counters down with a dirty, greasy rag. It was not appealing. There was one booth left that didn't have this nastiness on it. The soda machines tasted a little funny as well. I probably will get my food to go next time. read more

Went to del taco on Dequindre in Madison Heights earlier today. I ordered through the mobile app and I also had an coupon (free regular chips and guacamole or chips and chips and queso) on the app I had to redeem when I got to the location. When I told them I had an mobile app order, I also specified that I had another offer that they had to redeem and to do so, they had to scan the barcode (it also had a redemption code underneath the barcode) the lady who pulled up the original order told me to pull to the window and they will redeem the coupon so once I pulled to the window the coupon disappeared and it said thank you for your order. I was trying to look for the coupon which I ended not finding. The lady at the window asked to scan the coupon and I told her that it just disappeared for some reason. She told the general manager about the situation and I can hear the manager saying "we don't have that deal, we only have a snack size deal." So while she was talking to the manager I looked under account history and it showed that my coupon was redeemed. The lady went to the window and told me there was nothing they can do without the coupon. I showed her the history which showed the date and the location that was redeemed and she had the manager talk to me. I showed the manager and she told me that there was nothing she can do without the coupon. I showed her where it had the redemption code and I asked her if she can manually enter the code and she said no and to wait 3 hrs for it to pop back up. I'm not going to wait 3 hrs for some chips and guacamole. I asked if she can override for some free chips and guacamole in the system she said no. So more cars are behind me so she told me we can talk more if I parked in the parking lot so I did. She came out to my window and I told her it's ridiculous that she can't just give me the free chips and guacamole since there were a system error. She said that sorry unless you have the barcode she can't do anything. But we all know that every fast food restaurant has the ability to enter the coupon code manually or override it. Why did it show a coupon code if you can't enter manually? So she said that they were a franchise not a corporate store so it's different. But little do she know that I was a manager years ago at a subway and no matter if it's corporate or franchise, they have the same system cash registers. Only difference is a franchise can eliminate items and change prices to products. So I asked her if I call corporate if every del taco has the ability to put in a coupon manually then would they tell me the same thing she was saying? She got defensive and said "you know what this conversation is over and don't come to my store again!" I asked her "why so defensive because if you have good customer service, you would address the issue, not control this issue." And she just looked at me and went back in the store. Not going back there ever again. Called corporate and complained and someone in higher management will contact me to address the issue and they will tell me rather if every del taco can manually put in a coupon or not! read more

This restaurant reminds me of a nicer Taco Bell that's a little more expensive. The food was good just if I had to choose I would probably pick Taco Bell only because it's cheaper. The menu looked lIke it had some healthier options and they even had some shakes and churos if that's your thing. read more

Don't eat here!!!! This place is literally disgusting, the staff are the rudest people you will ever meet. They gave me food with a broken fork in my burrito,I called the del taco explained what happened and the manager said bring it back I will refund u I drove back 15 mins out of my ? Had barely no gas in my car and this lady who calls herself the manager who was so disrespectful, said no u won't get ur refund I don't believe the fork was there, I said huh? I was really hurt that someone would call me a liar. I love this place for mexican fast food. It is an upgrade from Taco bell. The food is much more fresh and taste better.

Can you give a negative star rating. Absolute worst place ever. Ordered a avocado veggie, and when I get back to work there is bacon and chicken all over it. This place sucks! They forget my sauce about 50% of the time. The workers seem to be goofing off all the time. Which scares me when you think that they are handling your food. I went to try a burger for the first time, they gave me the excuse that the grill was off. You're open 24/7!! Why wouldn't you have the grill and all equipment to make all the items on the menu on all the time? I'm sure they were just too lazy to make my order. I am addicted to this place. I love their tostada's. The shell is fresh and the toppings are stacked, not like TB. And their cherros are to die for. The beans are made fresh and you can tell. I go there every Tuesday and the deals are great. read more
