Got a veggie burrito (no cheese or sour cream), and just bit into a big piece of chicken. Being a vegan, that's basically the worst thing can happen (in the food world). The workers here are always pretty grumpy. I try to go to the one on Orangethorpe, if I have extra time. Won't be coming back at all, after this "meat experience". Tonight I stopped in and ordered a mini quesadilla with bacon. What I got was a completley BURNED quesadilla. They had to have known it was burned and yet they still served this crap to me. I complained to the manager and she just passed the buck saying she didn't know. I disagree, they purposely let this burnt quesadilla go out. My go to location ^__^ I have two locations I normally go to: this one and the one on Tustin Ave. and out of both of these locations I have to say this one is the best! I've had their breakfast as well as the regular menu and everything is good! The employees always get my complicated order right every time and never mess up! To me that means ALOT! This is my go to Del taco when I want a quick bite to eat or an iced tea on my way to work. The drive thru gets crazy busy at lunch time so I don't go thru it then then but if you actually get out of your car and walk inside there is barely any wait. The employees are friendly and they keep the inside of the restaurant looking clean and welcoming. The menu is full of lots of yummy looking items but I tend to get the same few things each time. I love their "Just a buck and under menu" it has some really great deals on there that are really good! Del Taco is also good for sending out coupons. Those coupons are great for when you want to try something that you have never had but don't want to spend a lot trying it. Honestly though, I have never eaten anything I didn't like from Del Taco, it's ALL good! read more

It takes a lot to get me excited enough about a drive thru fast food place to write about it on Yelp, but I have had so many repeated great experiences here, that I finally had to come and sing my praises. I come on my lunch break, and am often in a hurry to get back to work. Recently, there were 17 cars in the drive thru when I arrived and I was driving away with my food within 8 minutes. This place is FAST, and somehow, their food always manages to taste fresh. The taco shells are never stale, and everything comes out hot and tasting fresh. How they manage that with the lightning fast speeds, I'll never know, but they do. The employees working the drive thru each time I come are polite, competent and have never gotten my order wrong despite the fact that they're incredibly busy every single time. The manager I see working inside every time I drive through is always actively working to help speed things along and I can tell from watching her that she runs that place efficiently while she is in charge. That is the only way they can get so many cars through the drive through in such crazy small periods of time. Bottom line, this Del Taco makes their food perfectly, their employees are kind and helpful, and the whole place is run like a well-oiled machine. This is rare for a fast food chain, so I appreciate it!! read more

Tried to walk in on a Saturday at just after 10am the doors are locked and the drive they line is long and not moving. Screw this. There's other crappy places to eat in the same shopping center. I guess the employees are too lazy to do their jobs and open the doors for business. Good luck getting $15 an hour when you're replaced by an order kiosk. read more

My friends and I just went to this Del Taco (10:15pm) and asked for a taco with meat and cheese, the kid working that shift then tells us the total and it's usually 1$ for the taco but he said it was 2$. He didn't give us our receipt so we had to go back through the drive thru and when we told him we ordered the cheaper taco he claimed that he asked us if we wanted the dollar one or deluxe one, but he never asked us that when we went through the first time. He didn't give us our money back or the right taco I am very disappointed. Horrible customer service. read more

Went to the drive-through today to order for 3 adults. I just ordered two 1/2 pound green bean and cheese burritos. I just had to rate this terrible food. So simple to make but the employee who made the beans must have dropped the entire tub os Salt in the beans when making them. All salt tasting beans like I am drinking ocean saltwater. Absolutely Disgusting. I will drive from now on to our favorite De Taco in Placentia 15 minutes away. It will be so worth it! Stay away from this store! read more

I'm so disappointed in this location tonight. I arrived and they stated that there system was down and the only can take cash which is phone. I approached the window and stated hey you guys should put up a sign it would help eliminate those who only have card and also it would help you eliminate upset customers. The manager on shift took over and I just reexplained to her just have a sign stating cash only it would help you guys. Then this rude employee by the name of Shelby came to window telling me to get out the line getting all types of irate and angry with me while I'm talking to the manager. I asked her what's her name and she gave me some fake name in front of her manager. I had to ask the manager to tel me what's her name. I will never come back here and I will definitely make sure that my job doesn't come here as well. This is my favorite fast food place in this area. The drive through line moves very quickly even though there are many cars. The staff has been super friendly and courteous. The reason that I hit this place as often as possible is that they have so many customers each day that their food is really fresh. My coworkers have noted that the food here is very fresh. I love coming in here on Thursdays for they're grilled chicken taco deal and they always give me great service! They are fast and the Staff is Very Friendly (except for one lady but I haven't seen her lately and I can guess why) regardless I always have a great experience here. 1st came to this location tonight and waited a bit to get food and wasn't given a receipt. My order was wrong. This is not the first time the epic beyond mex burrito gets mixed with a regular beyond burrito. So I go back to get the correct order. After waiting 30 min in a very long line the cashier in a black shirt tells me I can't get the food because I didn't bring the wrong order back to them and it's "store policy". So I go home again, which isn't close by, and grab the food and reluctantly go back. This time another cashier seems confused why I'm bringing food back and asks what I want at the window. She hands the food to me and I confirm what they gave me and when I get home it's still wrong. 2 hour ordeal, 3 trips, and still not the correct food. Customer service today SUCKED and I should have gotten a reminder to bring the food back and just given me the food the 2nd time I came. I feel like the manager was lying to me about store policy and didn't want to correct the mistake. Btw Shelby is amazing when we go at night usually and makes our food great read more

I used to love this place because it was friendly and efficient. Now it's just efficient and the quality of food has gone down. The beans are two salty and the quesadilla is burnt as I eat them right now. Went to this location tonight with my boyfriend. I got the number 1, but I ordered it with beans, NO meat and NO cheese. We got our order, and drove home. When I got home I got my food out all excited to eat. Well, that feeling went away. I opened my food and saw that the wrapper had traces of cheese, and I was okay with it. What I was NOT okay with was that my tacos had traces of cheese on them! It's like the person who made them added cheese and realized that it was a no cheese order, and just took off what they could in hopes that the person wouldn't realize that there was a mistake made. I just want to say that whoever makes the food really needs to pay attention when it comes to specific orders. Especially when it comes to subtracting cheese. Luckily I'm not allergic to cheese or any dairy products, but there are people out there who are. So please pay more attention to the food being made and try to keep it from being cross contaminated. read more

I love Del Taco as a chain. I could eat there everyday. This specific location does a great job with their food prep. The sizes and tastes are very consistent. They used to be extremely slow but this has improved in recent months. They've hired a great group of female employees for the afternoon shifts. They make it a delight to go through the drive-thru. They are very upbeat and friendly. They get the order right every time and make me feel like a valued customer. Good job to this franchisee for hiring the crew that they did! read more

I guess the quality off the review depends on the employees you meet at a particular time. In my case, I was unlucky: the guy at the window was an AWFUL employee! After waiting in line (stuck in line, actually) for over THIRTY MINUTES, I asked the young man at the window what the delay was. He merely shrugged his shoulders and grunted. There are too many good fast food places around. I should be able to get through the line at Del Taco with relative satisfaction. And I would have been satisfied if the guy would have said, "I'm not sure, sir. Sorry." Or lied and said, "Sorry, we are short help tonight and are swamped." But--nothing zilch. I felt like I was conversing with a guy at the wax museum. Very bad public relations, this guy. Oh, yeah, the food was pretty good, as usual, but the experience frustrating and tedious. Cashiers are always nice and efficient. If you walk in expecting your food in a reasonable time, get back in your car and go thru the drive-thru. One of the manager's pushed to get the cars thru, as my son's order wasn't made, and when they finally finished it, about 12 car orders had been pushed thru. This is one of the better del tacos I have been to. The food is good and so is the inside service. The only bad thing is the drive thru. They take forever. Also when I try to order something they seem like they are asking you questions when really there are also taking an order inside. This is why the drive thru is slow and they are constantly making mistakes with the orders. read more
