    Beer Battered Fish Tacos $2.00ea. (01/24/20). @DelTaco #ParkCity #Utah #MexicanFood #FastFood #Taco #FoodPorn

(Dined 01/24/20 FR @ 9:15pm): Sometimes Del Taco was all you needed! After an enjoyable night of revelry at Day 2 of the Sundance Film Festival, I was exhausted, needed some cheap munchies, and thankfully saw this Del Taco location in the Kimball Junction area of Park City where I planned to catch a shuttle home. Certainly, the last thing on my mind was an unauthentic Mexican fast food joint in this world-renowned city, but when you still felt the effects of altitude sickness, teeth-chattering cold weather, way too much free alcohol that coursed throughout my body, and a morning work shift the next day... this was a beacon that pulled me in like the Death Star's Tractor Beam! How was this detour into bastardized Western Mexican food!? PURCHASE Green Bean & Cheese Burrito ($1.10): A simple down-and-dirty tummy filler that attacked your appetite while the refried brown beans and shredded Mexican cheese stuck to your ribs as it sustained you for hours. And I loved how warm and chewy the flour (personally, I preferred corn) tortilla was https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=3odmXRUT0rdpMboie2Weug&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Beer-Battered Fish Tacos ($2.00 x2): It was my self-imposed "no-meat Friday", and dammit I simply loved fish tacos regardless. The fish pieces were of good size, had a nice crunchy exterior with a moist interior, and all dressed with chopped cabbage, a creamy white crema sauce, and a ton of red salsa I piled on top of everything safely held together by two white flour tortillas. Although these hit the spot, obviously they were no comparison to the glut of street taco stands back in Los Angeles albeit such stands normally didn't sell fish tacos https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=vucgBM_2o_pxIrf9nDCofg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE Basically, I came, I saw, and I conquered. I was one of a handful of customers so the line went quickly. A friendly young male greeted me (commented on my Sundance Film Festival beanie), quickly took my order, and less than five minutes later my food was ready. The salsa bar was clean and organized which was always a plus. All was good in this frozen 'hood! PARKING (FREE) Located in an outdoor shopping center filled with several businesses, there was ample parking - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your standard fast food restaurant layout of a decent-sized dining area with multiple tables, the order counter was directly in front of you when you entered, an easily legible menu board up on the wall behind the counter, and the aforementioned salsa bar off to the side. Several promotional posters hung on the walls and windows. Plenty of natural lighting came through the glass doors, walls, and windows while a ton of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally "ski-resort" casual, so I would normally be in a beanie, fleece top, thermals, jeans, and warm waterproof boots. However, during non-winter times I'd imagine a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would be appropriate. OVERALL Park City Kimball Junction's Del Taco location served my needs perfectly and would seek them out again if in the same situation. In recent years back home in Los Angeles, I've become a fan of the brand mainly for a location close to home, their taco deals, the fact that they had fish and vegan options on the menu (a rather expansive one to boot!), and highly affordable prices for surprisingly-tasty food was a recipe for success for this value-minded individual. All things considered, the prices here in a resort town seemed comparable back home in L.A.. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $6.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS

They didn't have any burger or breakfast. Highly disappointed. My day is ruined crying in the car!

Great fish tacos! 3 for $5, and the salsa out for the taking is nice too! Crunchy shrimp taco didn't disappoint either.

Sat at the bar area and enjoyed chips and salsa before kindly server Paul brought me a Park City quesadilla which hit the spot. Don't love the salsa as I prefer Verde to chunky Red. A nice spot to try in the Mountain Village. Thankful Baja was open as operations shut down two days ago.

We did not have a good experience here…read more It wasn't busy when we came in. We were seated rather quickly, but aside from that, the service was mediocre. For example, we ordered margaritas which were absolutely terrible. The drinks tasted like bad sour mix and nothing else. I nicely told the waitress that we'd like to order a different drink (I only asked about one because the rest of us decided to choke it down), and the waitresses response was, "that's what you ordered." We explained that we ordered a margarita, but this particular margarita didn't taste like it was mixed properly, and she replied again with "that's what you ordered." So just know, even if the food or drinks come out terribly, they will blame you. The customer isn't always right, but if the food or drink is straight up terrible (and expensive), I would expect they would try to fix it without a side of attitude. I'm giving 3 stars only because the food was decent, and the other interactions we had were fine.
