We came here during Sundance, so that may have skewed our experience. We had a group of 6 and were able to be seated right away, which was surprising and so appreciated! They had a limited menu due to Sundance and their busy season. We got a couple appetizers to share, and everything came out quickly. I ordered a quesadilla off the appetizer menu because they didn't have a ton of vegetarian options. The quesadilla and entire meal was very expensive, but again that may have been Sundance pricing. Our family went her last week with four kids. Loved the casual atmosphere, quick service, and food was great! Tasted very fresh and flavorful. We liked the chips and guac more than the salsa chips they bring to the table. Worth ordering the guac for the better chips. Mole enchiladas were too spicy for my mom but I enjoyed them! Ok, not great Mexican restaurant on Main Street in Park City. The Good: Pleasant outdoor, street dining with views down Main Street. Margaritas are good. Salsas are also good. Helotes are excellent. The Less Good: We were told we had to buy food with a drink. First time hearing that even though we spent a week up and down Main Street. Guacamole was flavorless. Went here for opening week and though park city was busy, they were too but the service was quick! We had a 5 minute wait which quickly jumped from events letting out, but people seemed to be seated within 30 minutes. They brought out tortillas with black and refried beans. We then ordered drinks and our meals. Everything came out fairly quickly drinks were about 10 minutes and food possibly up to 20 for a group of 4. Keep in mind this is the last Sundance film festival in Utah so they were BUSY but you wouldn't have noticed from the noise to the spacing. Will say if you're seated upstairs on the second floor be careful as half, maybe a third of the room is up a step and there is no marker or color to show. So you might end up misstepping and falling on one of the tables next to you (that happened with someone and goodness if they didn't do that, that most likely would've been me ). First time visiting. Purely based on Yelp reviews while we were on Main Street. Time frame was noon on a weekday in late June. Plenty of inside and outside seating. Bathrooms were clean. Artsy chicken decor with cool tunes playing. Staff were attentive and friendly. Matias served us assisted by someone new (his name escapes me). Tostados, bean dip and salsa for the table at no charge. Now for the food. Excellente! Generous portions. Nice presentation. Flavorful. If we're back on Main Street we will def give them another try. Welp. We were back on Main Street and returned for tacos. Asked the server if the shrimp portion was comparable to the steak portion. He said yes. It wasn't. I say this because I want the restaurant to be fabulous. It's got all the bones but....yikes. When my 20 year old won't eat the burrito - there's trouble. So...the table salsa. A bland red salsa and some very questionable grey brown unappetizing something that tasted absolutely awful. Fix the salsa and be done with it. The enchiladas were covered in a nauseatingly sweet brown sauce and were inedible. The burrito was covered in a weirdly bland queso that did nothing to enhance the experience. The guacamole - people. Who ever thought dripping mango on Top of guacamole was a good idea? Just no. Stop it. The cilantro rice had zero flavor - none. And without an impressive, zesty salsa - it was slightly less good than an Amy's TV dinner. Change it all and you'll do great! read more

My family and I ate dinner here and it was delicious! Even though it was very crowded, the service was excellent. Noise level for being as crowded as it was-was not bad at all. Our drink order, appetizers and entrees came out promptly. Everything we ordered was excellent and portions are very large. Next time we are in Deer Valley we will for sure come back! read more

The shrimp tacos and the milanesa were both pretty average. I likely wouldn't get them again, but the place has potential. We found this nice Mexican restaurant on Main St., Park city. I don't like giving bad reviews, but we were disappointed at the end of our visit. We had eaten appetizers. We had the ceviche and the octopus shrimp appetizer. We also had the raspberry cheesecake. They were delicious. The server Manuel was attentive, and the hostess was very nice. However, when we left, they added a 3% service charge because we used the credit card. Credit cards are costed doing business if you have a merchant account. I carry a plan of cash, but I'd never use it. I had a hard time finding the opening to my wallet when I had to pay a cover charge after showing ID at a local music venue. It was a very fine print at the bottom of the check that if I chose to use a credit card they would add 3%. I didn't see it until I was signing my credit card receipt. I also was shocked at the cost of the margaritas. $20. I was flabbergasted. In Utah you can only pour one and a half ounces of tequila plus flavoring i.e. triple sec. I've never been charged $20 for it a margarita. I was the one that suggested my girlfriend have a second one because I was driving. I only drank Heineken zero. I'm not going back. Sneaking service charges and expensive margaritas. I understand that most restaurants have the highest profit on alcohol, but $20 for a margarita? Outrageous. read more

Quick stop in during Sundance Film Festival - glad I did! The atmosphere is mountain contemporary, with soft music in the background to support and not overwhelm conversation. The amuse bouche was a fresh fried corn tortilla with smoky salsa and bean dip. I was intrigued by several items on the menu - including a salmon with mole - but landed on a deliciously satisfying cauliflower taco plate. The cauliflower is delicately fried and wrapped with razor thin pickles, sauce and a cilantro sprig, accompanied by rice and black beans. Service is prompt and informative. I wanted to try this place as soon as we walked by it. It looks super cute and cozy from the outside and the inside doesn't disappoint. We made reservations online through Resy. It was super easy and you get text reminders as well. Once we got there, we were greeted by the cutest dog next to the host desk. Such a cute welcome! We didn't wait long for our table. After being seated, one waiter took our drink order. Then another waiter came to take our food order. The only reason I mention this is because that's why I didn't give full stars, the second waiter didn't know our drinks and mistakenly refilled them. Not a huge deal. Totally get teamwork, especially when understaffed, but communication is vital! A quick question would've avoided this. Also, our cloth napkins were wet. At first we thought we were just cold but then realized that wasn't the case. They happily replaced them once we pointed it out. They were definitely busy so I understand how mixups would happen. Aside from that, the food was AMAZING. They serve complimentary tostadas with green salsa and beans in the cutest dishes. I had the enmoladas and my husband had the Baja fish tacos. Both great choices. The black beans and rice was also delicious. The dessert was totally worth it too: horchata three milks cake--super rich, super sweet, super decadent. I felt like it was my birthday. The wafers on top balanced it very well. The last thing I'll share is that it was super loud inside. Probably because of the small space and big groups dining. Stopped in on a whim for lunch and we were happy we did. Upon being seated, our server brought over salsa, beans, and two decent sized corn tostadas for us to try. The beans and salsa were very good. For our entrees, we tried the Tortilla Soup and the Baja Fish tacos. The tortilla soup was very good, with nice chunks of avocado and fresh cheese, plus a good amount of chicken. Lots of tortilla strips on top too. I was a fan as it wasn't too heavy of a soup. The tacos come with a choice of cilantro or Mexican rice plus beans. My dad tried the Mexican rice and was very happy with his choice. I got to try a bite of the tacos and I was a fan. Overall I would say it's a good place to stop for lunch in Park City! read more

While wandering down the snowy streets of Park City I found this little piece of heaven called, Don Gallo Mexican restaurant, just a block north of the Post Office. I had some time to kill before my shuttle back to my resort arrived, so I figured some queso in a warm restaurant would be perfect. Before I could even order the queso they delivered a small ramekin of salsa and black beans which were absolutely delicious! I ordered queso and a GIANT bowl of homemade chips were delivered alongside a lovely queso bowl of the best cheese sauce I ever had ever eaten. It was all so pretty I had to take photos of it all so I could remember it when I left the city! The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were great! The margarita is delicious - the only complaint is I wish the glass were bigger. We sat upstairs, and the vibes were relaxing and comfortable. We will likely visit again for dinner tomorrow. My in-laws, my husband, and I went to Don Gallo last Friday night and had such a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and attentive-checking in on us multiple times during our meal. It was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a really broad menu with a large amount of vegan and gluten-free options (one of my sister in laws is dairy- and gluten-free & she was so excited about the numerous choices she had!). Our food came quickly and was absolutely delicious! Our favorites were the mushroom quesadilla and steak tacos & we also thoroughly enjoyed the generous chips and dips portions provided to the table. The food was full of flavor and definitely felt on the healthier/non-greasy side. Additionally, their customer service was impeccable as they were really kind and accommodating of my 1 month old son (with this being our first dinner out as a family!) Their kind demeanor and quick service were greatly appreciated by this new mom! As a newer restaurant in Park City (open a little over a year), I would highly recommend this spot and look forward to both coming back and sharing it with friends! read more

Delicious, fresh, flavorful Mexican food right on Main Street in Park City! We were so happy to discover this spot after spending the afternoon at the arts festival. Indoor and patio dining is available and we chose the patio, which offers fun people-watching on Main Street but was a little hot until the sun set. The guacamole with mango is amazing and the chips are delicious. They were accommodating with our request to combine two types of sauces on our enchiladas and the three types of tacos we tried were all excellent. The shrimp ceviche was probably our favorite: so fresh and flavorful! We will be back for sure to try more items from their expansive menu. The outside sitting area is cute but the prices reflect the fact that you're in a resort town so expect to pay over $20 for a burrito. Despite the very slow evening our service was lagging but the food did come out very fast. As locals, we really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, Don Gallo was a big disappointment. While the views from the outdoor seating were nice, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The service was just okay--not great, but not terrible either. The food, however, was lousy. The volcano dish had cheap, gristly meat that was frankly gross. The $14 kids' mac and cheese was way too rich and soupy for a child's palate. Even the queso was barely warm and completely lacked flavor. Salsa tasted like it was fresh out of a jar. The churros were passable, but that's about it. To top it off, the place is overpriced for what you get. We're always on the lookout for good restaurants on Main, but sadly, this isn't one of them. There are plenty of better options nearby. I ate here twice during my stay in Park City because the service was incredible and food is so fresh! The second time we went was during peak dinner hours. The staff got us seated right on time for our reservation, filled our water glasses and had our drink orders out to us promptly. This stellar service carried on throughout our entire visit. I also noticed the spacing of tables. They leave enough room between tables for guests to comfortably move chairs in and out and hang their coats on the chairs. Some restaurants squeeze as many tables in giving customers no space for big coats or any chair movement. Every detail at Don Gallo was spot on! read more
