This afternoon January 28,2025, my husband and I stopped in for a quick nite to eat the food was great and sodas the Service. Mary the Assistant Manager was who helped us. She show how to used their app properly and explained to keep checking to get rewards and great offers. She was extremity busy, helping run the drive-thru, running the front counter, and making sure the customers are happy and comfortable. As we were getting ready to leave, a gentlemanwho looked down on luck with a shopping cart with his belongings. As he walked in Mary noticed him was kind enough to give him a bag of food and a cup and said have a nice day. He then told her wanted to buy something extra, he ordered and paid with what change his had, we went to sit and enjoyed his meal. Drove by and seen this Del Taco and remember liking it when I was a kid eating the Macho combo burrito late at night after they changed to Del Taco from what I believe it was noggles in my area and I got to say very clean even for my standards!! This was a great meal today. I tried the fish tacos and they were awesome. The lady Amy was so nice and actually was smiling which is crazy for fast food spot. I normally like Del Taco, but the Del taco that I got was horrid. Since I was on the road for 15 hours I was afraid of getting sick, so I only ate one. I ordered two. The meat was hardly there, and the cheese was piled on so all I could taste was cheese. Also, There were at least 6 people working, it's was about 6pm or so, they weren't busy, we stood there for a while waiting for someone to help us. When I started looking annoyed, is when one of the guys asked if someone could help us. No one jumped, except finally one guy cooking, said he'll help us. I left to use the restroom, so I didn't hang out to watch them prepare my food, so I get what I get...a cheese taco. Just went to the drive thru at the crater lake one didn't have my reading glasses which we told the guy taking the order and he proceeded to tell us to "look at the menu, if you just look" again we said we can't see and he continued to be condescending... disrespectful. The guys name is Josh and he needs to not work with customers if he doesn't know how treat them. Josh your customer service sucks. I appreciate the shift manager trying to make it right. I ordered in advance online and chose the drive-thru option, so I didn't have to wait. When I pulled up to the drive-through there were No cars ahead or behind me. There were no cars in the parking lot. Despite t, at I was still told that I needed to pull around and wait in the parking lot. I used to love Del Taco. We don't have one where we live, so anytime we would see one, we would stop. Well it has been many moons, and I was some what happy to get Del Taco again. Let me tell you how disappointed I was with the asada street taco's. I couldn't even eat them, and I was starving! I ended up going to a gas station to get jerky, and almonds to tide me over for our drive home. I will most likely never eat a Del Taco again, it left such a horrid taste in my mouth. I used to love Del Taco but this store has the worst management and cooks.. The chicken Tacos two weeks ago didn't taste right but I let that one go but yesterday I ordered a plane bean and cheese burrito and I took a bite and it tasted like metal plus it wasn't even hot. The cheese inside couldn't even melt that's how cold it was. I called to let them know there's something wrong with the beans and the employee said okay and hung up on me. Del Taco has risen again! The first iteration of DT in Medford was an unqualified mess. The store was perennially understaffed, leaving the customer with long lines, long serve times, and a messy dining room. The employees were worse off -- often they looked to be on the verge of breaking down under the ridiculous pressure. Mercifully, DT was shuttered. Now, under new management, DT has returned. Gone are the insanely wait times at both dine-in and drive-through. It appears that this new management understands that you need actual people to run a business successfully. Not much to say about the food. It's Del Taco. You know what it tastes like. It's good, and is a nice change of pace from Taco Bell. But the service, oh man, leaps and bounds better than it's ever been. read more

When we pulled up thru the drive thru the young lady asked for our order and started talking to a customer that was coming in the lobby. She didn't say anything so we figured she was still talking to the other guy. Then she Just kept getting our order mixed up and trying to get us to change our mind on one of the burritos. when we got up to the window we noticed that the girl and two guys she was working with were flirting with each other and horsing around that it took them forever to get our order right. We told her multiple times to add on certain items and double grill our food but we still got served cold food . They then denied being told to make our food that way . i have been a fan of this place for many years but am sad to say it has yet to recover from the pandemic. The drive through has been open but the inside is inconsistent due to staffing issues as told to me from the employees. I was told no one wants to work here. ??? Today I was able to eat inside. After a bit of a wait (only 3 workers) my order was completed and wrong. I asked for onions and didn't get any on my burrito. While I was eating, I watched an employee lock the front doors to walk in customers because the guy in the back said we cannot keep up both inside/drive thru. Now I would suggest to the owners that they regroup, hire a bunch of people and get involved. Train, train, train and support the employees. Write a schedule to support certain days/hours of an open dining room so customers know. POST it up so we know and update the website and Yelp. When I advised we were missing items and had been waiting for over 40 mins to get our food the kid said "oh." And closed the window. The Pollo Asada Avocado bowl with chicken, rice, beans, avocado, tomato and onion was very good and filling for only $5. It was a pleasant mix of nutritious hot and cold food for a hot day. My daughter wanted to try Del Taco because neither she nor I had tried it so we did it on a whim. GOOD CALL! The help was very nice and were quick, professional and looked like they were having fun doing their job. The tacos are really pretty good and for .49 cents, a winner. This place has horrible customer service and they do not check for accuracy. We have been through the drive thru 2 runs in the past month, ordered nearly $40 of food during each of those visit and both times our orders were not correct and had missing items. Its a drive for is to get to the location so by the time we return to get the items that were not in the bags the rest of our food is cold. read more
