Well, it all started when we began our semi-annual trek to Del Taco in order to achieve our quest of tacos, burritos, and most importantly -- inferno sauce. It was quite the drive to get there as we crossed city boundaries several times. Our journey began in Olympia, then Lacey, then Olympia, then Lacey. It was a lovely trip, enjoying a cool breezy July day as we drove to the only Del Taco within 30-miles. As we arrived, we were greeted quickly as we were fully supported in placing our order. Only a short while later, we received our food along with a pirate's bounty of Inferno Sauce as we trekked back -- beginning in Lacey, then Olympia, then Lacey, then Olympia. Arriving home, a fine glass of Japanese Whiskey was poured as the perfect accompaniment to the food. For me, 2 Value Tacos and 2 Value Burritos -- a truly invaluable value meal. The folds of the burrito tortilla were gently opened as I surgically placed the first taco in, and used 3 Inferno Sauces. 1 within the taco and 2 in the beans of the burrito. I took a bite... magnificent. Another bite. Beautiful. A sip of whiskey. Another bite, and the inferno sauce's spice began to mix with the whiskey spices. Great service and experience. Their computer system went down when we were ordering and they still made our food for us. We got the shrimp tacos and chicken nachos. This was the first time I had been inside this location since covid. The inside was clean and they even had Easter decorations. A lady took my order with a smile asked me my name and I went to sit down. I was expecting to have my name called but after a few minutes, the same lady actually brought my food to my table, which I was very impressed by. In my opinion, Del Taco has pretty good deals. I was there on a Thursday afternoon, and so I got the three chicken soft taco deal and two of the quesadilla chicken tacos. We used to enjoy getting Del Taco on the fly. Tonight (9:30pm), we hit it up before a movie (5 minutes away with a start time of (9:50pm). While ordering, the guy on the speaker asked my wife to repeat what was said. As we were doing so, there was all this commotion in the background. The guy asked again to repeat the order. While she was repeating it, another voice (employee) shouts something nearly inaudible through the speaker, "Haha! Sir, would you like a b......" We couldn't catch the rest of what was said, but there seemed to be a lot of laughter at the fact he addressed my wife (cis female) as "Sir." Not thinking anything of it, we started repeating the order AGAIN, and the laughter continued, and he addressed my wife as "Sir" no less than two more times. The laughter was still non-stop. We ordered 6 chicken rollers, one mini quesadilla, and a tostada. My wife and I both agreed that the way they were giggling and carrying on while also being unable to remember the order as we were placing it, seemed like they were hitting a Marijuana vape pen while at work. It was so immature and frustrating. While waiting for the food, we found see the two employees who were goofing around inside. One looked like a Llama with shaggy blondish hair. He was handling food while also repeatedly adjusting his chain on his sweaty neck with bare hands. Gross. The other guy was wearing a tight black tank top and a baseball cap. Are tank tops part of the Del Taco uniform? They both kept horsing around and appeared to not really be doing much work as the only person really working was a young lady with brunette hair who also greeted us at the window. Did I mention that it was over 15 minutes that we waited while that poor young lady was doing almost all the work and the other guys laughed and played and messed with the people in the drive through? Our order came and now we were going to be late for our movie. We paid and rolled out. I checked the bag on the way and found that instead of the 6 chicken rollers, there were 4. Instead of the one quesadilla, there were two. Not only did those immature and unprofessional guys goof off and frustrate or drive through ordering experience, but they messed up our order. Having no time to go back as we needed to get to our movie, I called the store phone number (360-491-0650) on the receipt to talk to someone and explain our experience. I called four times, and not one time did anyone answer the phone. I really hope someone from the restaurant reads this and changes can be made immediately. I've never been to a Del Taco before. The menu looked great and the person taking my order was friendly. Also I didn't have a long wait. However, none of that matters if the food is subpar. It seriously had no flavor. I ordered steak- the meat that was served looked like textured vegetable protein. I got an entree a side and a small drink. This cost $12. Compared to Taco Bell, way too expensive. Taco Time charges about the same, but with them it's worth it. I was disappointed and won't be back. Took us 10mins to get to order and then we couldn't order because they were so backed up they needed more time to get orders out. The only saving grace was the cashier who continuously apologized for the wait. We decided to go back outside and try the drive thru since it was moving faster than the orders inside. Finally after 15mins and $25 later we get our food and lo and behold we're missing the fries. Everything in the order we did get was gross. There was paper in my husbands chicken taco on top of it all. The churros tasted like hard oil with no flavor when you bite into it. Went through the drive thru last month. Long wait with 1 car ahead of us. Got a chicken burrito combo. Burrito barely had any food in it at all; it was half empty. It was late and we got off the freeway just to grab food so didn't notice till we were long gone or would have gone back. The chicken quesadilla my friend got was good, he said. My wife and I go to this Del Taco location about every two weeks for lunch before going to the nearby movie theater. We have always been pleased with the speed of service and the value of our food . We opt for the crunchy Del Taco and we always get a kick of how much cheese they put on their tacos and we love cheese. I have to admit a while back we "jumped ship" and got " Taco Supremes" from Taco Bell. Very dissatisfied with them and honestly Del Taco puts at least 3 times more cheese on the Del Taco then the skimpy Taco Supremes from Taco Bell !!! read more

I'm from Southern California and have always been a big Del Taco fan. Imagine my surprise and delight when a location opened less than 1000 miles from me. This location seems to go through different owners, so I'm guessing the older reviews are a reflection of that. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences at this Del Taco and the food is prepared with excellence. Compare a paltry Taco Bell taco to the Del Taco variety and it's no contest which is the superior on in both flavor and bang for the buck. It's fast food Mexican food, but it's the best fast food next to El Polo Loco you're gonna get. Times are rough for them right now. We were 3rd in the drive thru and it took an hour to get our food. The first car passenger had to get out of the car and go to the door to ask them to take the order. That's bad y'all. Stopped by to grab quick dinner before heading to the airport. There were about 15 cars in the drive thru line so we decided to go inside and get food to go. That's when we saw these signs on the doors. Apparently the ten customers inside was over capacity. Watched another customer go in and ask to order food to go and she was told they wouldn't serve her in the dining room even takeout. When asked why when they weren't even at capacity she was told the manager told the employees not to take any orders inside.
