I haven't been to Del Taco in 10 years... And now I know why! Fish tacos... They used to give you two big pieces of fish and one fish taco was a meal in itself. Arrived at this location for Taco Tuesday This was my favorite location and better price.. Arrived at drive through and the car in front of me was at speaker for quite a while. When he drove away I pulled up. The girl asked me to wait. 10 minutes later I said HELLO. She came on and asked what I wanted.Very rude I gave her my order. Horrible place from staff to food!! Staff member taking our order was very rude! Staff in the kitchen was running/playing around, when we received our order everything just looked and tasted gross, meat looked old, we couldn't even eat it! Go to Del mostly for the nostalgia factor. Went with the loaded fries. Think nachos but with fries in place of chips. I like that the cheese has some real cheese with it. Toppings were all as they should be. Fries on the other hand were under cooked. I'm talking raw and cold potatoes. I was the only one in the drive-thru. As such, I paid and was on my way. There was plenty of time for them to take an extra moment to cook the fries. I did not discover that the fries were under cooked until at home. Oder was packed well. Have not had much reason to enter the Del taco world and since they have no white meat chicken that doesn't help their cause. Desperation as I was in a food deadzone led me here for a quick lunch. The 99 cent tacos were loaded with decent meat and all the fixings right to the top of the taco. As someone who hadn't personally given Del Taco a fair shot compared to other fast food chains, I have completely switched after a few visits and i'm now a huge fan ! Every time I have been i've had a speedy experience and gotten really quality food for a great price. You can taste the quality difference compared to many other chains. All in all, you must give Del Taco a fair shot. Supremely underrated. I recommend any of the burritos, chicken tacos or the cheeseburger, but I have never been disappointed with anything. read more

In all honesty the only thing I like from here are the caramel cheesecake bites, I get my Americanized mexican food from Taco Bell but can only find these delicious snacks here. When I was in Iraq I ate cheesecake bites once every other week and I would count down the days to the next time they'd be available. Went through the drive thru for a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito with hash brown sticks and an iced tea. The burrito was big and very filling! I think the smaller version would have been a better option for me. The hash brown sticks were very oily. I placed them between two napkins and both top and bottom were soaked in oil. This was my first time at del taco ever. I haven't even tasted my food yet, but as far as the customer service goes this place is a 10/10. I can really appreciate when a fast food place knows what's vegan on the menu and whoever was working drive thru just now really was educated on their menu and gave me vegan options on the spot. They deserve a raise. The guy at the window I believe was the same guy on the menu and even went as far as to mark an X on the non dairy free item we ordered :) amazing. I have to say we have lived in the area for over 4 years and have gone here many times without much trouble, yes the staff is sometimes rude and their drive through speaker barley works but today I have chosen to give them only one star. My family loves their tacos and today while eating dinner I took a bite of my taco and this long hair pulled right out from the meat. I came to Del Taco for lunch, the place looked immaculate, I couldn't decide what to order until I saw vegetarian tacos, that was it, I'm trying really hard to be a vegetarian. Everything was fresh, lettuce, cheese, even fresh tomatoes which Taco Bell doesn't have, the taco must have been soy meat, they could have fooled me. That soy meat tasted better than the regular one, it was zesty but not hot, I could taste some cumin, or comino in the red sauce, it's usually only put in the green chile but I loved it. So glad that I did I was able to finally see this disconnect between what I imagined and what is handed through the window. There were only two people on staff I expected slow service but at least accurate and consistent. Man was I wrong my burrito had cheese that wasn't even melted all the way. I fell in love with the restaurant years ago and maybe it's franchising has led to a more diluted product. Not all California staples can withstand not having that key needed oversight. I walked to Walmart today because there was no bus coming and no bus shelter to wait in so I ended up walking. I stopped at the Del Taco because I have been wanting a cheese quesadilla. Well ordered my quesadilla and ended up waiting longer than I had to because the two girls decided that they should prepare tacos for a customer who came in after me and ordered nine Tuesday tacos. She spent about $5.00, she paid with a $5 bill and received charge. She is a regular and get those damn tacos every Tuesday but I was there first, was not rude, I didn't even complain because I have Yelp. You're supposed to serve people who come in first, first unless there are extenuating circumstances, there were none. But I learned I will not visit that Del Taco location again, I do not approve of racism from anyone even when I am not the victim.
