They have been proactive, they…read morecommunicate clearly and honestly, they show up when they say they will, and most importantly, they do amazing work! Our experience started when Mr Jenkins came to our home to review the project we were about to embark on, walked us through how they work, provided us with a copy of their prices, left a log-in sheet, and said his project manager would arrive the next day to introduce themselves. When I went to pick out tile, the project manager met me at the tile company. (That is another review.....) There were all kinds of issues with the tile company, and instead of weeks, it took MONTHS for us to receive materials. Jenkins's and Co bird-dogged that for me so I didn't have to. As soon as the materials arrived, they started work and stayed on the job until it was done. Turns out the tile company shorted us on floor tile (tile employee who measured our bath apparently flunked basic math). To compound the situation, the tile was imported from Italy and the only place in the country to MAYBE get more was from Fifth Ave, NY. Jenkins's implored the tile company for options, they gave us the floor sample and finally found one remaining tile stashed in their warehouse (WHEW!!). Even through NUMEROUS issues with the tile supplier, Jenkins and Co worked doggedly to get my project done as quickly, and as excellently as possible, even finding an alternate tile supplier for slab after employee at first place neglected to order the vanity slab. I will GLADLY use Jenkins of Northern Neck again, and HIGHLY recommend them for whatever project you have. If I could give them TEN stars, I would!

I want to warn the potential customers to get everything in writing and don't just take their word or promises. I have several areas where the boards were cut to short and even put half inch plug going into my house. In 3 different areas he put joints straight across from each other and didn't stagger the joints. I'm totally unhappy with the work and want to warn people to be aware of this company.

Isaac came out to fix the siding and pressure wash the entire house. From the start, he was quick to respond, extremely communicative, and genuinely understanding of our situation. His pricing was more than fair--no price gouging, no awkward back-and-forth, and no need to haggle. Just honest, trustworthy service from someone who takes pride in his work. He didn't just get the job done--he went above and beyond. Our home looks beautiful, refreshed, and no longer like it's falling apart. We're beyond grateful and already planning to have him back for more work. 100% recommend to anyone looking for quality service from someone who truly cares.

He also gave us a very reasonable quote! He is a perfectionist. He cleaned up the after cutting the wood and composite materials and did a great job on the small deck. We absolutely would, and probably will hire him again. In fact, we had friends that are considering hiring after seeing his work on a project they are considering in the future. I can honestly say Issac is the first contractor we have hired that has actually impressed us.

Reviews Yelp I…read morecalled Mr. Handyman of Newport News for an estimate to remove the full size shower door assembly and replace it with a new frameless one. I told her I had it in the box, in my garage. I had purchased it from Lowe's and it was unopened. I also a had a two steps set from our Laundry Room to the garage that needed a set of wooden handrails installed. I also had the wood for that too. She asked me to send pictures of each, which I did. She gave me a cost of $350-$500 estimate for the shower door, but reserved the cost for the step rails to the Handyman when he arrived. She set the arrival for Dec 12 at between 12-1:00. I received a text the day before to confirm the visit no time and I replied. I had asked for a courtesy call before he came, but received none. He showed up at 8:00 AM . Unacceptable to me, for we are retired and I was still asleep. I told him his mistake was he didn't ask for me, for I was the one that had call. He said he did 75% of his business with Wives and thought I wasn't home. I said you didn't ask. He had come in and checked the area. His cost was $550 which I didn't agree for shower door. I told him $500 as the lady told me as tops. He agreed. His price to add the step handles was $450 to install just two wooden handrails and side slats on the steps. I said no. He would have to come down. I called the business and explained to her that he went to Lowe's for materials, which I also had and I had idea what he'd needed. She asked me if I would let her hang up before he purchased anything and she would call me back? I agreed. No returned call. He returned with a written Work approval of for me to sign. I looked it over and it was blank except name, address and at the bottom a place for me to sign. This was an authorization to do the work. I told him I didn't sign blank documents. I told him to fill it out stating the work he was going to do, including the removal of old door assembly, disposal and clean up to my satisfaction. I further want a signed copy from him. He said I told you the cost would be $500. He seemed a little upset with what I wanted. He said let me go out to the truck and talk to my boss. I will come back and let you know. He drove off with no comment. Note: I learned a lesson a long time about signing blank documents and I haven't since. On the good side: The Handyman was courteous, with one acceptation, looked at the box with the door and wood for the steps. He seemed knowledgeable and wore covers on his shoes to protect our wooden floor. I cannot recommend this company. If you hire them, get it in writing, you may be regretful.
