I lived at this place for nine years. We went through many managers and the first one was actually decent towards me but . . . she was rather odd towards the other tennants. She didn't want them to swim in "her" pool. She would scream and tell them, "GET OUT OF HERE, GET OUT". Very odd. Also, one of the managers was unfit to be a manager and she lost my rent. It was a money order and I could never find my receipt so I had to pay my rent TWICE. She started bawling when I asked her how she lost my rent and she screamed and ran out the door.
When I first moved here, the place smelled of cat urine, I would call and call and call and they would have the people come in and pull up the carpet and spray underneath. I lived in the upstairs studio that had two flights of stairs inside, and I was on the top floor. It was like a penthouse and truly the cutest place you have ever seen. The carpets were barely cleaned and I don't know for sure if they painted or not but anyway, I loved it and the cat smell finally disappeared. They replaced my tile in the kitchen and bathroom because several of the linoleum tile pieces were missing. They did this after I lived there for two years. The guys that came out just laid linoleum over the plastic tile and didn't pull up the other tile. It was rather a mess but better than before.
My clothes were ALWAYS being stolen from the laundry room. My towels too. One of the women was a meth addict and always stealing towels and clothes. She told me one day, "I have your towels and they are safe for you. She took me up to her apartment and there they were, all folded and inside of an ice chest. It was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen. She had many different peoples towels and clothes that she was "keeping for them, to keep safe". She then asked me, "Can I have about 5 bucks, after all, I did keep your towels safe and fresh for you". I just gave her the five dollars because all my towels were brand new, and after all, she did return them, and in good shape.
Everything was rather quiet at the old Del Pine until some party boys moved in. They were CRAZY, urinating outside, screaming, yelling, and partying EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. No one did one single thing about it. They were the Golden Boys of the complex and everyone wanted some of their action. Probably their drugs too. I even heard they had the security guard in on their shenanigans, and that they were keeping him "Coked up to Shut him up!!"
The final straw came when the cars started getting broken into. It was a nightly thing. My windows were bashed out of my beautiful Mustang. I had a rental car for a few days and they broke into that car too, and stole my phone. This went on for several months and after having enough, I gave notice and moved. The drug dealer next door was actually a nice guy as he did his "business" elsewhere and actually kept a watchful eye on all of our cars. Once he moved out, that all changed. I hate to say a drug dealer was helpful, but he actually was better at keeping me safe than the security was.
Upon moving I completely cleaned the entire place and it was immaculate. They cheated me on my deposit, saying they were charging me for screens that were never there in the first place.
I went back to my old apartments several months after I moved to visit my little neighbor. I spoke to some girls who moved in and they let me up to see the place. It was unrecognizable. Brand new tile throughout and brand new carpet, and ceiling fans and all new fixtures. I wanted to cry. Nine long years and they finally fixed it up nice AFTER I moved. I have driven by here several times in the last years and it just keeps getting worse looking and more run down.
Stay away from here, the drugs have taken over and I heard management is shadier than ever.
Did I mention the DISGUSTING laundry rooms??? Yeah, . . they were nasty . . .
