When my dog was spayed, Kelly went above and beyond. She was gentle, attentive, and incredibly accommodating during her recovery. This is a delayed review of services (pre-covid). We used Del Mar doggers for in home cat care for a few months when out of town because it had great reviews. We had a cam (not hidden) set up to see our pets. It became really clear that though Kelly said she would come in for 30 min and play with the pets for that time (and charged $60 per visit) that she was often there for 10 min max and just did the minimum. Nothing was particularly bad about the service (pets were fine, fed, boxes changed) except we didn't like the overcharge and the discrepancy between the stated services and what we could see actually happened. We found another service that charged less. They did less, but did what they said they would do. read more

My husband & I had the BEST experience with Del Mar Doggers. We are from LA and drove down to San Diego for a little weekend getaway with our 12 week old son. Last minute, our Airbnb decided no dogs so we had to scramble to try and find something for our 8 yr old golden. This past weekend I had to go out of town for the night and couldn't find a friend to watch my dogs. I was referred to Del Mar Doggers through another pet sitter site that was already booked. I spoke with Kelly on Friday and she got back to me very promptly. I was able to set up an overnight at my house with Jane from her team. Everything went very smoothly and I am extremely pleased. We cannot say enough great things about Debbie Scott and Del Mar Doggers. We planned a vacation for approximately one month, beginning in September 2011. We needed a really patient sitter, as we have a rat terrier/papillon mix (Scootie) who is very, very finicky, nonsocial and distrusting. Debbie painstakingly worked with Scootie, making progress little by little. After about two weeks, she finally turned the corner with Scootie. Scootie's eventual trust and comfort with Debbie demonstrated to us that she was the right person for the job and we were fortunate to have her sit our dogs and home. Debbie actually stayed at our home most of the time, working diligently with the dogs and protecting our property. Our other dog, a Yorkshire terrier named Corky, is very social...except with other dogs. He feels threatened by almost all other breeds and sometimes shows it by barking and trying to attack. Debbie had to be patient but stern with him in order to walk him with other dogs in the vicinity. Corky slept with Debbie her first night at the house and quickly became her buddy for the entire assignment. We had no worries about Corky. Debbie sent us daily emails to update us and put us at ease. She was honest and frank about working with Scootie and the challenges. I immensely appreciated her candor, as I didn't want her to candy-coat her difficulties with Scootie. Above all, I wanted Debbie to be forthright and sincere about the situation. She also sent us frequent pics of the dogs, which I thought was particularly thoughtful. Unfortunately, after about three and a half weeks, we had to fly home due to a health crisis with my husband. Debbie was ready for our early arrival, with everything in place and our dogs content. She not only worked miracles with our dogs, she maintained our home and even left our mail sorted. We would happily employ Debbie again, especially since our dogs are so comfortable with her, trust and love her. We highly recommend using Del Mar Doggers and especially Debbie Scott if you need someone to sit your dogs, even the "special needs" ones. read more

I got my pride and joy baby english bulldog 1 year ago, Bella. I live alone and have a pretty flexible schedule most of the time. Things started to really get busy in my business so I was frantic about who to take care of Bella, at the time she was 2 months old. I called Del Mar Doggers and Kelly (owner) reponded right away with such care and concern and all of the options since I was new to this. Kelly came over within a day and met with Bella and myself and right away we fell in love with her. She and her team of girls have been caring for Bella for a year now and NEVER EVER have I ever worried one bit about her saftey, my house, or the amount of love, hugs and kisses she was recieving. They text me every time they visit with her and even report her mood and if she pooed or whatever!! its truly the best care for your animal you can possibly imagine because they arent doing it just for the money, its evident they love animals and it shows. Speaking of money, they were also the most reasonably priced care I found so I feel very lucky and blessed on both ends, care and cost. I have used Del Mar Doggers for both my dog and cats. Kelly takes excellent care of my dog during a midday walk on the days that I know I will need to work late. She also was a lifesaver when I needed her to check in on my cats while I was out of town for almost a month - including on Christmas and New Years Day.
