A nice caesar salad, and salads can be iffy in these parts. 4. Pleasant outdoor dining on the corner of the plaza...you can watch the world go by without being in the middle of it all. 5. The only brewpub in Loreto, I think. I'm sure there are more reasons, but who needs more?

When I heard my tour group was heading to Zopilote, I was a little skeptical but I thought I'd give it a try. Turns out their beers are pretty good! I tried the taco and flight dish, which came with three tacos and a flight of four. I tried the lager, the hazy IPA, the regular IPA, and one of the stouts. I actually got the other stout (the nitro this time) as a pint. So it was good enough to order more! I'd give the food three stars. Not my favorite tacos I had during the trip. But I know other people in my group enjoyed their meal (pizza in particular). The location is hard to beat, being on the main square of Loreto with primarily outdoor dining. Note: the bathroom is a single stall that opens to the exterior and the lock does NOT appear to work. Multiple members of our group either walked in on someone or were walked in on. Yikes.

Tender; flavorful; fresh. Plenty of food. Best strawberry margarita I have ever had. My husband had ice cold Pacifico. Many vegetarian and fish/seafood options. Lovely ambiance and authentic seating. What really stood out though was the kindness of the people running it. Super welcoming, hardworking, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care about what they're serving. Came back after noon, and it was quite busy. It's a little confusing because no one greets you at the door, nor is there an order counter. But just grab a seat wherever you can find one, and someone will come to get your order. They had 4 options available that day. We got the fish and carne asada. Go with flour tortillas if you can. I usually prefer corn, but we got a couple of each, and the flour were the best. All the tacos were delicious and having the salsa/topping bar is great, so you can add whatever hot sauce, salsas, and veggies. There were only 2 workers there, but they were working their butts off. Definitely try it out - just be prepared to be patient - it's worth it. They are super nice and the food is great!

My husband and I were in Loreto for the day as a stop on our cruise. After walking around town and soaking up the sights, we were ready to wrap up our afternoon with a couple of strong drinks and some local grub. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and treated like regulars. The family vibes here are real and made us feel right at home. The menu had so many delicious options, so we started off with a Cadillac margarita. Not only was it served in a large, sturdy--proper--margarita glass (not a tiny cocktail glass like so many places use), but it was also perfectly strong. Just what we wanted. A+ for that alone! For our meal, we finally landed on: - Ceviche (a must, so fresh and mouth wateringly delicious) - Shrimp pasta (perfect blend of garlic, cheese, and fresh shrimp. my husband claimed it's the best pasta he's had in a while) -Chile relleno a la cart (I was craving and it was perfectly cooked. exactly the right balance of spice and cheese I was looking for) Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Between the view, the drinks, the food, and the genuinely friendly service, this spot is a must-visit in Loreto. Can't wait to come back!
