Great service, awesome guac and chips but...the beer is not great. Pilsner: had phenolic off-flavors like a Belgian beer. Probably was fermented too hot? (West Coast) IPA: same as above Hazy IPA: pretty solid! Maybe it was fermented with a different strain of yeast, as it didn't have that Belgian "tang" that the other two beers did. Guac was made fresh and delicious and the young mang helping us was really friendly. The outdoor seating area is also delightful. read more

The beer! The beer is so goThe service the burritos and the chipotle sauce! Great service and food under high pressure. Great Price!
Go for drinks and appetizers at this open air restaurant. It's pretty and features good service and strong drinks. If you're a dark beer connoisseur, remove a star. The IPAs might fare better; we didn't venture there. There's also indoor seating if the weather turns a bit cold and windy, which it did during our stay in Loreto. From our experience, The Black Vulture offers more traditional American food than the other restaurants we sampled, aside from the fried grasshoppers, which looked and smelled surprisingly inviting. read more

Two people got violently sick last evening from the blood orange beer. They say it tasted funny but didn't think that much until 3 hours later when the vomiting started. Other beers were ok. read more

We only had a Pacifoco and a margarita and a Baja fish taco apiece but we could tell a meal here would be worthwhile. The servers all spoke English and were very hospitable. 2 thumbs-up. read more

Great food. Best craft beer in town! We came for lunch and were hoping to order the highly recommended chile rellenos but they're not available until dinner time. The tacos, clams, guacamole, tortilla soup, chips, salsas, are all wonderful! We'll have to return for the rellenos! read more

Turned my party of 9 away because we had children. There was only one other patron present. Plenty of room to accommodate our party. Not family friendly. read more

Can it compete with my local breweries in San Diego? Yes it can. Had a great blood orange wheat pear and a hazy IPA. They know what they're doing here. Came back a second night with family and food was sooo good. The arrachera was tender. Tortillas were fresh. Everyone else tried a different type of burger. Alll were good but the bleu cheese was deemed the best. Come for the beer. Stay for the food. read more

Great fish tacos, guacamole and beer. Being from Chicago we have beer options, this is a great taste and reprieve from the lighter bottled beer options in Mexico. read more

Jalapeño poppers done right! Also, good beer and friendly service. Nice for a meal or a few lazy beers in the shade during a hot afternoon. Big fan of the Rattlesnake IPA. Short walk from many hotels. read more

This was the first place we found when we arrived on a quiet Sunday evening, and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious, the service warm and friendly, and the beers tasty. And we are back for cold cervezas in the shade today! read more

I ordered the Spanish sangria and the pollo mole plate. The mole was amazing. It's better than any mole I've ever had in Los Angeles. Come here to unwind and before or after exploring the city. We came in June when it's really hot amf humid, but they had 2 large fans on at all time read more

Great bar, food, and service! Would go back again. The NFL game was on as well! Located in the plaza with several shops surrounding.

This brewery, which had good beer options (I liked the pale best), had our groups favorite salsa over the course of our two-week stay. We went back multiple times, sometimes just for the salsa. It's in a nice plasa that often hosts what appear to be local events. Must stop IMO if you are in Loreto for any length of time. The entres were good but didn't stand out. read more
