Two chicken flautist and calabaza w asadero cheese. Sour cream
    Rachel P.

Good place to enjoy the Mexican music and good food. My husband had the red chicken enchiladas, served with beans and calabaza, lettuce and tomatoes in a tortilla cup. (Not pictured, red sauce is tasty. My flautas were alacarte and served with lettuce and tomato, sour cream and a small cup of guacamole. I also ordered a side of calbaza. Overall nice place, good food, but I think a bit overpriced. That said, the flautas should be perfect.

What a great experience!…read more It's a sports bar in west Texas and that's its strength. It caters to those of us here to work and to the locals who appreciate a great place to eat. Seated immediately even during their busiest hours, the service was also very friendly. The steak dinner was well cooked. The sides were a bit lacking, but the steak was good enough to offset that. Overall this is a go to in Pecos

We brought our large party (11) to dinner after a day in the national Parks. Luckily it was a…read moreweekday so it wasn't too busy when we went and were able to get almost right in. The ambiance was mostly casual with lots of TVs everywhere like a sports bar, but it seemed like it wanted to be fancy with the way the staff was dressed and how they presented their menus. The cost per dish was more upscale seafood. They had some props for "gram worthy" pictures. As we sat down, our waiter brought over chips and salsa for the table and said to the kids "one basket only is free". They looked at us confused because they weren't used to that being the case in Mexican restaurants we go to in Phoenix. We said it was a nice holdover until the food got there. The same thing happened with the drinks though; the kids ordered a soda and it came in cans and the waiter said "no refills". Again, not that big of a deal but they were only saying it to our kids. The people who got water though asked if the water could get refilled and the waitress said it could but didn't seem like she wanted to because only a couple refills were filled during the meal. Some of the food had quick a kick to it, so more water or something to drink would've helped. The food was kind of hit or miss; some people really liked their dishes and some were just okay with what they ordered. If we had come with just adults, maybe we would've had a different experience and ordered different things. Next time we pass through we'll try and stop in again.

Driving through West Texas, my husband and I were looking for a quick place to stop for lunch…read more Knowing I LOVE dumplings, he found a restaurant in the middle of Texas that served up just that. Disclaimer: The restaurant I tried from this restaurant is not what I'd considered "authentic" as some other Yelp users have stated. It's some version that suits the local palette. Service: The service was great. The host/server seated us right away, came by to take our order when we were ready, and proceeded to check in periodically to make sure our meal was okay. Ambiance: The restaurant is pretty big, with plenty of seating available. Food: Like I mentioned, the food isn't "authentic", but it's as authentic as you can get in West Texas! The food was still good! By husband and I ordered The xiao long bao (pictured). The dumplings did not have a thin wrap or soup inside. Quite the contrary of what makes a xiao long bao what it is, but the dumpling itself was still flavored well, and delicious. It tastes like a regular dumpling cosplaying as a xiao long bao. For the entree, my husband and I shared the chicken stir fry noodle. The noodle was really good and the portions were HUGE. I'm glad we both shared an entree because we didn't have any means to take away leftovers!
