I wish they offered different types of eyelash extension glue for my (oily) skin type. I went to Deka awhile ago for my first time getting eyelash extensions ever so I thought that everything that happened to me was normal, until i went somewhere else and had a great experience. The morning after I got my extensions from Deka I woke up and I had tears come out of my eyes my eyes were burning. My eyes were watery and felt off for the whole day. They did look great though. I took excellent care of them, did not get them wet etc for a full 48 hours and despite that the lashes on one eye only fell out constantly over the next two weeks. I would notice a bunch on my cheek and in the sink. At two weeks i had about three extensions left on one eye and a decent set on the other. It looked horrible. I thought this was my fault and attributed this to sleeping on my right side and wearing an eye mask when i sleep to block out light. I determined that lashes weren't for me - 1 because they were uncomfortable and irritated my eyes, and 2 because they seemed like a lot of money and work, only to have them fall out. This was months ago, and I decided recently to try another salon with my friend because I had a lot of events coming up. I'm so glad I did. The application took half the time, I had no eye watering and irritation and they look beautiful and EVEN two weeks out!! They are super low maintenance which is a game changer for me. If i had known then what I know now, i would have definitely gone back to the salon because something was not done right. read more

My initial thoughts walking into Deka Lash was that the store was practical and was set up like a nail salon. I was excited to see that the concept of eyelash extensions was possibly becoming something so normalized and efficient. I would like to acknowledge that I am an avid wearer of extensions and I am familiar with good quality, bad quality and everything in between. I appreciated Deka Lash for its convenience and fairly open availability, which was what drew me to it for just over 3 months. Unfortunately, after giving this establishment my money and loyalty, I will be ending my subscription. Just be careful about which one you go to. They have you rush to fill out your new forms and join a plan. I chose a $100 a month plan. In this, says within five days you come back bc your lashes have fallen out, she will do them. Also, I didn't read ALL of the form bc of your TIME they will still collect an extra $100 after you cancel. You give this place a $100 for free!? YEAH!! For doing nothing this place takes your last payment. No services rendere, they just get a free $100!!!?? Girls last day was Friday, she does them for me, GONE by Sunday. Can't get in Monday, work Tuesday. Wednesday I get in, in the right amount of time, still get charged the $55. Pretty Scammy if I do say so. read more

I read these reviews prior to buying the Groupon. I was hoping that the good reviews would be my experience but sadly and hour after I left 5 lashes fell out and just continued to fall out over the rest of the day. I'm not sure what the problem is because I have had lash extensions put on many times in the past and have never had them start to fall out an hour after the appointment!! I can't imagine paying for a full set at regular price and then have this happen. My appt was Sat and it is now Monday at 7am and half the lashes have fallen out. I'm really upset because I have a huge trade show this morning and now I look ridiculous. On the up side, Faith was super nice and the place is really clean. I had my first ever lash set done a little over a week ago by Jessica, and I love them! They were so full but still natural looking and what a time saver in the morning!! I loved that Jessica took time to explain to me what exactly she was doing step by step since it was my first time having someone up in my eyes for that long! She payed such close attention to detail I can really tell that she enjoys what she does! The only reason i'm giving 5 stars is because of Tori. My first visit was on Dec. 23rd. I had a groupon. I was late for my appt but they were still able to accommodate me. I was told that my eyelashes wouldn't be as full because I was late. She would have 1 1/2 hours to do my new set..I also felt she wasn't very welcoming. I wasn't offered water or a blanket. My eyelashes are thin so she told me they aren't going to be as full because it might be too heavy which is fine as well. My lashes came out ok...it was very spotty and had a lot of gaps and I figured it was because my lashes are too thin. I went in for a refill and Tori helped me out. She offered me water and a blanket. She was really nice. I had very little lashes left from my appt 2 weeks ago. My lashes fell out rapidly. But Tori did AMAZING with my fill..its only an hr for a refill but I my lashes were 2x as THICK and FULL from the first time. Tori is the only reason I'm keeping my membership. I LOVE them at Deka Lash - and they know it !! I'm in there at least three times a month. They keep my lashes looking beautiful, long and lush. I get SO many compliments. Everywhere I go, people ask me, "WHO does your lashes?!?!??" Faith and Jeff are so professional as managers and all of the artists are friendly and really know what they are doing. I have had Sam, Faith, Isabel and Maria all do my lashes and they are each FANTASTIC. It may seem a bit expensive but the way it makes you feel makes it worth it - no more spending time messing with mascara and the dark streaks it causes under the eyes. You can just wake up and go !!! Lashes yes, Customer Service no! On January I saw an ad for lash services at a studio and went in. After getting my lashes done, I decided to sign up for a membership. My account was crossed up with another account, I tried to get it corrected 4 times to no avail so I cancelled my membership. I was told they would charge me for 2 more appointments but they would call the studio and get the charge credited back. Today, April 9th I called in regards to the account, she stated that it's closed and I must use or loose my 2 credits by April 29th. I explained my previous conversation in regards to a credit, I asked if I could speak or write a manager or the CEO of Deka Lash, she advised she was management and there was no one I could email or speak with. She did say that she would call the Deka Studio and let me know what the franchise owners would be willing to do. I thought she would at least offer to extend the expiration date 2 weeks, unfortunately she didn't. I'm truly disappointed with the lack of customer service and will not recommend Deka Lash to any of my friends or family. read more

I had my lashes done by Amie and she was great. I love them! I have never had eyelash extensions before. She kindly explained all my options to me and explained each step as she went along. The process took about 1 hour and 20 min for a full set. The bed/chair was very comfortable and they give you a blanket to keep you warm. I would highly recommend them! read more

The lady I had was extremely sweet! But I wasn't too happy with my lashes. One eye looked fuller than the other and I didn't notice until I got home, and it was my first time. Also while I was getting my lashes done glue got in my eyes which burned BAD. I think that's why a few days after my eyes burned. (So I've read online) Which caused my eye to water so I think that could be a reason as to why my right eye started shedding right away. I didn't wet my lashes for 48 hrs and waited to brush them like she said . I didn't rub or pick at them and I didn't use make up removers or oil on them. Pretty much listened to the Do's and don't s. Unfortunately I'm going to pay to get them fix, but elsewhere. read more

I went in this week for a set of eyelash extensions after purchasing a groupon. I was bit nervous after seeing a mixture of positive and negative reviews but decided I would decide for myself wether I like them or not and I'm sure glad I did. Maria did my eyelashes I was even running late for my appointment and I called and she was super nice about it and agreed to still see me. I explained to her that I had had eyelash extensions before but they were not very noticeable and I was not happy about it. Maria showed my different types of eyelash curls and lengths and after some discussing of what I wanted she began the process. It did take some time but was honestly worth it. I've been getting my lashes done for at least 4 years. I am extremely picky and my eyes are sensitive. Do not go here unless you have time for the extremely slow application process. As well as the quantity not quality setting. I tried Deka Bc I had a friend that said she had heard great things from a customer. Since they're close to my house I thought I'd try them. I've been to Lash Salons from San Diego up to North California. First I've NEVER had a lash tech ask me the length and style only to try to convince me that's not what I want. That should have been my cue to leave then. I typically get 15" & 16" volume and they are spread evenly. The techs here are VERY inexperienced. The lashes they use are thin and hard. I'm use to thick soft lashes. Even their Volume are extremely thin. Over 2.5 hours for a new set is way too long! Typically takes 1.5 hours. I had to go pick up my children from school so I rushed out without fully examining them. First my 9 year old noticed that my left eye had way more lashes than my right. Then my husband noticed too. Which he doesn't notice anything! Most non observant man ever! 2 hours later they started shedding. I noticed ALOT of the lashes shedding were Classic single lashes NOT Volume. Which is what I paid for! The tech asked if I wanted mixed Classic with Volume. I very clearly told her no just Volume. The next day I woke up with lashes ALL over my sheets and neck. This has NEVER happened with my previous salons. The next day I woke with a huge stye in the corner of my eye. Yes the salon was clean. Obviously the tech did not use clean sanitary tools if I now have a stye! Huge waste of my time. Only for the Salon to say come back we will have our most experienced tech redo free of charge. Nor is the manager ever available. Not worth it. There's plenty of other salons that will not over charge and you will get a quality look. read more

Set an appointment with Sam K. to get a full set of eyelash extensions. When you first step into Deka Lash, the ambiance is quite soothing. There is music in the background and the place looks organized and clean. Sam had me sleep on one of their bed/station, which is very comfortable. She even offered a blanket to make me comfortable. She asked many questions to make sure that I would receive exactly what I wanted. She has a delicate hand, and made sure I didn't feel any discomfort or pain throughout the whole process. She spent an hour-ish on my lashes and it turned out beautiful. I am very satisfied with the results. I have had my lashes done previously at another spa but it does not compare to here. The lashes are good quality, curled, and she put a lot for me. For a first time full lash set it is priced at 79.99 which is cheap compared to other places. I would recommend this place to first timers or anyone looking do get their lashes done. Make sure you set an appointment with Sam k., she is wonderful! read more

DO NOT buy the membership or make any long term commitment!! I bought the True Volume monthly membership. All was going well; the staff was warm and friendly and my experiences were positive. Unfortunately. the process was too tough on my natural lashes, so it was recommended that I buy the $50 lash serum and give it a rest until my real lashes got a little healthier. I now have 5 visits outstanding and was just told that I have to pay $5 per month to freeze my membership(you're not allowed to get any new lashes if your account is frozen) OR I can cancel altogether, which means I would have to pay for one more month and use up all my visits(7!) before the 30 day deadline. It's total win-win for Deka Lash and a complete lose-lose for the customer. read more
