    Bad Business Management. Proceed with CAUTION! Let me start with letting you all know I normally don't write reviews or even bad reviews as I've been a manager or owner of a salon. I have been a long time customer of DekaLash Greentree since they've opened. When I say since they opened, like signed up 2 months from when they opened and have been a continuously loyal customer over the years. I think like 8-10 years? I can't remember when they opened. Anyway, the reason I kept going there was due to mainly convenience and loyalty to my lash girls. I also built and ran a salon for 7 years and managed a Corp Salon after that in Downtown Pittsburgh. La Vie En Rose Nails and Pure Beauty, so I understand the beauty game and all that entails and also why I gave these ladies breaks over the years and kept coming back. It's a learning experience for managers a lot of the time. I actually worked at the Dream Nails right next to Dekalash before I opened my own salon... so LONG HISTORY. An Actual Review- Most of the lash girls talk trash about the other clients to the girls next to them... most of you probably hear it, but that's awful business. I was literally sitting getting my lashes done when the girls were talking crap about the lady getting hers done next to me. This happens every SINGLE time I went there. I just brushed it off as they weren't talking about me and they had tweezers near my eyes. I'm not the easiest client - not that I'm picky but more that my eyes water really bad if you tug at my lashes to hard. I should've said something, but what do you say to someone who makes your lashes beautiful? LOL I don't even mind the non-professionalism normally exuded during my sessions... such as leaving me with my eyes closed to go eat lunch, texting while you are putting my lashes on, and just the overall none salon conversation that should be had. But that was part of the fun in going there as well. Going in there is like stepping into a pit of Mean High School girls that talk crap about their clients. You still go because they are decent and convenient but your soul dies a little when you leave because your wondering what crap they are talking about you when you leave. Anyway, what really broke the camels back. Was the membership. I've had a membership for a long time before their new booking systems and everything. About 8-9 months back, I started getting these Discounted Rates (Me thinking woah, because I've been a long customer Dekalash is helping out the loyal customers). This is all when you go online and book through their website- which I always do. I have screen shots below, showing those are my rates for ALL appts. I never questioned it and thought it was being "charged" at the $35 rate (on booking confirmation) but at check out charging me the full $55. I should've had like 4-5 credits to use as lash appointments and had proof that was the rate I was given when booking the appointments. P.S- I still have 2 credits left, I just booked- STILL HAVE THE SAME RATE for $35.00. So I go to investigate and honestly, I know that stuff like this happens in business with franchises. It was the way the Owner of the Franchise handled the situation that really just showed that she has no respect for loyalty or to her customers. I said Me- Hi, so when I was booking I had the discounted rate and noticed you all kept charging me the $55? Owner- Oh, really? I'm not sure how that happened... well that's not the rate it's $55 and I wouldn't have approved it. Me- OK, well that's fine and all but we still need to figure out what can be done. I was booked at this rate and it should be honored. (we're talking like 150 bucks of being over charges- not thousands). Owner- Well, that was corporate booking system and the salon itself is liable for that, so we can't do anything. (Please keep in mind her tone was condescending as hell- and if you go there, you know what I'm talking about) Me - OK, well do you have corporate number so I can try to get this figured out? I feel like I'm being screwed over here. I've been a customer a long time and thinking I should cancel my membership over this. It's not right... Owner- well, yeah you can call. Me- Ok. will do. (I also sent a huge string of texts to my actual lash girl (who was sympathetic) showing proof- realizing I sent that to their Corporate text line) Thank god, because they have even more proof of this. For all of the above, in my honest opinion about good business. If you own a business and have an error happen with your systems/booking. It's on the onus of the salon - to HONOR that rate given at the time of booking regardless of error. That's the liability of being an OWNER of a Business. Like I'm so shocked and appalled that this can be done to a customer with such a long history. It would one thing, if I was a crazy customer but I'm really not. I go in get my lashes on and leave. Almost never complained.

    I am so beyond disgusted with this place. I purchased a membership and can't trust this business to keep my card on file w/o abusing the privilege and charging me for services I've never received. I literally had to fight with the corporate office to be reimbursed for a cancellation that was addressed well in advanced and then turned around and they charged me anyways. I got it resolved and reimbursed on 2/21/22-2/22/22 (yes it literally took 2 days and 50+ text messages later to get it resolved) while making it very clear that I wanted my membership canceled because the females at corporate took the matter so lightly while showing incredibly high levels of unprofessionalism. They even referenced to hoping that Emily (my preferred Technician) would not adversely suffer over a result of this in which I responded with "unfortunately because of your unethical business practices she will and I'll be taking my business elsewhere"; and demanded to close my file. I didn't even go in for my fill in February because of how disgusted I am over this. I just log into my bank account and see they've charged my card again for a monthly membership fee on 3/18/22 for $169.00. Are you kidding me!! It is a sad day that I can't even trust a business to be ethical in their business practices to hold a credit card on file w/o them abusing it. So now I have to look forward to jumping through hoops via text messages while getting the runaround tomorrow to get this charge reimbursed because they've designed their communication style to be fully electronic as opposed to taking live calls and speaking directly to a person. I am livid over this and I'm done playing these games with this company. I am reporting this to the BBB and blasting every platform with this message to warn other women of this. SHAME ON YOU!!! 3/25/2022 Edit/Update/Response: Ma'am my beef most certainly is with you/your studio. Emily told you directly that the NCNS charge you applied to my cc was not accurate and that I had a scheduled appointment for later that day, and Emily mentioned this and reiterated that she told this to you as soon as I showed up for my appointment and yet you still charged me $160 for the NCNS first appointment and then Emily charged me $169.99 plus a $20.00 tip (which I understood and agree to). I then had to literally go through 50+ text messages to get to corporate to have this charge reversed and canceled my membership on the 22 of February. My calls are recorded and it's clear as day that I canceled this membership and did not even come back in for my fill for February. Then I find out you charged my cc on file $169.99 for March membership when I already canceled out my membership. Do not shame me because you/your extensions cannot properly communicate when I took all the appropriate steps to ensure that I was no longer interested in continuing business/services with your location due to abusing the privilege of holding my cc. I will continue to fight you on this fraudulent charge to my cc that you have on file because you have demonstrated twice now high levels of unethical business practices. The facts are there and I don't enjoy this anymore than you enjoy being blasted! Furthermore, I've repeatedly said, the only person truly suffering from this is Emily because she has lost a valued client, and I will continue to endorse her because she rightfully earned it. You/your unethical business practices and unprofessionalism, well, not so much!!!!

    I had an appt on 10/30 at the Deka Lash in Greentree in Pittsburgh PA with Crystal. For a brow lamination tint and shape 1. I wasn't able to use the mobile check in. Nobody was wearing masks 2. Nobody greeted me or was even at the front desk. 3. Crystal came in finally and asked me what I was here for and I told her.. and she was aggravated that she "she wasn't given enough time for my brow lamination and tint" because I booked online.(this was my first time) 4. The brow wax was uneven and my eyebrows are NOT laminated in any sense of the word. They are sticky and hot mess 5. I was never told a total she just said she will charge the card on file and that was it. So I have NO idea what I was charged And still have not received any form of receipt. 6. I also booked for an under eye treatment which I did NOT even receive...my mistake is waiting to look at my eyebrows in the car before contacting anyone even though it was immediately after 7. Since nobody ever answers the phone I contacted someone via chat and then I received a text telling me I could come back for another artist to fix my eyebrows.. I declined.. I just wanted my money back and forget I ever went there..apparently they don't do that but never refunded me for the under eye treatment that was never done.. so my brows are fried.. thank god my hairstylist made them even and I'm working on repairing them.. bottom line.. beware of this location and services offered .. they could care less about customer service To this day a month later I still have yet to hear from anyone.. I'll attach photos below of what my brows look like before and after!

    This location is the best. Getting my lashes done is better than therapy. The girls are so awesome, fun, and hilarious. I always walk out feeling so much better than I walked in. Highly recommend!! The music is also fire.

    Yesterday I got eye lash extensions for the first time and had an amazing experience at Deka Lash! I had Lauren and she was super friendly and helpful! She made me fee comfortable and did a great job! I've been getting so many compliments on them! I will def be back!

    Love this location!! Amanda is a lash queen I can always trust she does a good job. You never have to worry about who to book though because they are all amazing lash artists!

    I got a severe eye infection and ended up at Med Express 36 hours after my first set of lashes. I have called and tried to work with them to end the membership I signed up for, unfortunately I was given an email address to send the pictures and details to and have not received any response. I wouldn't trust my eyesight and health to this establishment.

Long story short, I got turned off of going there due to 1) never being able to get in for an appointment with my preferred providers as my hours piled up, and 2) an incident my favorite therapist there confidentially told me about that made me question both the sanitation and the work culture. So in 2020, I found myself a high-risk person (autoimmune disease) with a ton of backlogged hours and a lot of stress, hoping to get back to a massage routine but nervous about such a close environment with the Covid situation. I came here for just a rapid tension massage at first, the type using the percussion gun, and had April. She was respectful of my concerns and set me at ease to the point that I felt comfortable coming back to her for a regular massage soon after. She's since become my go-to massage person, and I book out months in advance with her because, when someone is good, their book naturally fills up and April is good! As one of her regulars, they're even willing to give me a call if she has an unexpected cancellation; they did so today, in fact, and although I missed the call and someone else snapped up that appointment, they were able to get me in with someone else who sounds like they will meet my needs. Did I mention that the front desk staff here is also great? The location has a chill, upscale vibe befitting to the Uptown Mt. Lebo business district and is impeccably clean. I'm glad this has become my go-to Massage Envy location. Don't let the parking situation deter you from coming here, or stress about street parking; park in the nearby garage and they will give you a validation ticket so that you will only owe a couple of dollars at most. Worth it.
