Delicious açaí bowls! I got the mini ($6.99) Brazilian which is your safe and classic strawberry and banana with coconut shavings bowl. It tasted fresh and perfectly sweet with the fresh fruits on top. I was sad to find that the mini bowl was in fact miniature even though the cashier told me that they fill it to the top- it still wasn't much so I should've opted for the next size up. Store was empty and you could tell the staff didn't wanna be there by their dead in the eyes reactions to me walking in. No greeting upon entering and they just asked me what I wanted. Staff had their masks barely covering their noses. Ordered a small Lean Machine with Strawberries & Mango. Made the mistake of not tasting it while in the store. The smoothie tasted like there was soap in it. I'm hoping this was just a one off experience but I ended up tossing it out after only a few sips. I was craving an Acai bowl after a workout class and saw that Deja Vu had a nice variety choices (about 8 different bowls). They sell 3 different sizes, a mini for $6.99, medium for $8.99. and large for $10.99. I opted for a medium Hawaiian bowl and was sooooo disappointed when I saw that my bowl was TINY. The diameter of the top of the bowl was no more than 4.5 inches and the bowl tapered off so the bottom of the bowl was 2 inches in diameter. I'm scared so see how big the "mini" bowl is. The Acai base was also extremely icy and flavorless and seemed like it was scooped out of an ice cream container rather than freshly blended. For $9 I expected a lot more food and at higher quality. Safe to say I won't be coming back for another bowl. read more

Had to update this review. Have been here 5 or 6 times now, every time getting worse. I think the quality of ingredients have gone down. The last smoothie I got was bright pink and very artificial sugar flavor tasting Also, it's just too inconsistent. You can order the exact same thing and get wildly different results Finally, I think it's ridiculous you have to buy a juice and then by a jar for the juice, which is an extra $4 PER juice. Why can't they just get some eco friendly plastic bottles for 10 cents and charge me 50 cents more for the juice, but include a way to bottle the juice? I love love love this place! I always get the oasis and my brother gets aloha with ice cream of course. This place is so delicious and they make the smoothies really fast. Even though it is a tad pricey, it's definitely worth it. I suggest coming here if you want something healthy, but really really good. My only problem is that they only put whipped cream on your drink occasionally. However, with the current COVID situation, I was very disappointed to see one of the guys who make the drinks, not making proper use of his mask. He had basically his nose fully uncovered and was breathing on top of the fruits he was cutting and the drinks he was making. I made the observation to the lady at the register, she went to tell him, and he tried to put it on just because I was there, but kept looking at me with anger. I want to be supportive of businesses, specially through these difficult times, but can they just do their part? For their safety and ours? I tried the Dr. Oz; as a matter of fact, it served as my lunch that day. It was apples, kale, and ginger, among other healthy ingredients. It was refreshing with a gingery kick. It was also quite filling because cleanses can be tough. Service was quick and friendly. Their menu not only features vegan juices but also smoothies, salads, and sandwiches. He'll tell you right away that any of the juice recipes on the wall can be modified. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even make your own blend! What I tried: The Twister, made with carrot, apple, ginger and lime, plus I added orange just to keep it safe. Really good! Though I probably shouldn't have added so much orange since it gave me a sugar buzz. The verdict: Better than I expected! I've been here numerous times. Be careful because in the morning because they sometimes won't have everything ready to go. For example, if you want a breakfast crepe, their crepe 'cooker' is not ready. Like the other reviewer said, don't go in the morning expecting to get fast service. The employees here were downright rude to me and my boys yesterday. Unfortunately, the smoothies were made in a blender where the motor was burnt out and the smoothies tasted like burnt rubber - completely inedible. When I asked the worker to remake them, he picked up a dirty blender from the sink and dumped the smoothie mix in it (I now know these smoothies are just a sugary liquid mix with no real fruit whatsoever in them- yuck!!). The guy making our drinks was rolling his eyes and acting put out the entire time we were there and the general atmosphere of the store was dingy and dirty. The staff is quick and the ingredients are fresh. For those mornings I get GREEN WELLNESS which is kale, parsley, lemon, apple, celery, cucumber, ginger, and spinach. It tastes more gingery and gets spicier towards the bottom, you've been warned. The only downside is they close kind of early but I suppose not many people want juice past 5 PM.
