Aside from the actual furniture the lamps and wooden entertainment/television stands were really stylish. I feel like the overall vibe of the furniture fits the Charleston area, there was sort of a beach house or summer home feeling to quite a bit of the furniture. They have a design center in the back of the store with several fabrics to choose from, apparently they offer some customization of the furniture based on the fabric selections that they have on hand. The customer service was prompt and courteous, I would certainly return.

It harkens back to our ancestors who used to make everything by hand. Don't get me wrong there are still electrical tools involved but most of the furniture made today is not meant to last. It is made of the cheapest materials they can get and still put out a product that won't fall apart the minute it comes off the assembly line. The major difference is with Amish furniture is these are pieces that can outlast your lifetime. If you've ever been in an antique store and seen the furniture of yore you'll understand what I mean. It was meant to last several lifetimes. And these pieces can be custom built to your specifications. You don't have to be strapped down to only limited selections The folks at Charleston Amish furniture are great to work with.
