My sister goes here frequently and they are so kind and generous, especially towards her. I, as a mechanic of 30 years trust them completely, and that says a lot as I don't want anybody to touch my vehicles! Lol! They have repeatedly saved her thousands and found stuff even I missed. These guys are beyond top notch, give them a chance and you won't be disappointed!! I bought a car from them, and while still sitting in the office after agreeing to everything they disclose that this car with 19k miles on it has a "major oil leak" and ask me if I want it fixed. Of course I do, but I'd also have liked to know this before I made two consecutive round trips here from Minneapolis. Then when I make my third trip to pick the car up, the 30 day power train warranty for some reason is not valid. 1) they will give you less than KBB for your trade in 2) they don't disclose known information about the car 3) they don't honor their warranty 4) sent me a temporary tag for the wrong car 2 stars for having the color car I wanted and letting me speak to the previous owner Edit: Russ called, said he'd do what he can to fix this, never called back. After getting home & texting w a friend who highly recommended they should do the battery replacement. I called and asked Cody if I could set up an appointment for in the morning? Cody said I didn't need one but he would make a work order and they try to get them done within the hour. Saturday morning we arrived on the tow truck shortly after 8:00a open. Store Manager Nick got me set up and about 20 minutes later I saw them driving my truck to the bay. SHOCKED... ONLY 40 minutes later i was already being told iwas all set!! What...how? You literally had to even take the wheel off to get to the battery! Then put it back on!! I was paid, done and on my way...in under an hour!! I don't know if I was more shocked at the reasonable price or the efficient time it took?! I was holding my breath for an expensive all day adventure. THANK YOU Blain's!! As many other super stores have died off (Shopko, Kmart, Sears, etc.) Blains holds tough, great automotive department, solid tools section, tons of American made products, good hunting/ fishing selection, clothing section full of Carhart/ Levi's and most stuff you would need for a farm. Buy all my gardening stuff there as well, (peat moss, perlite, top soil) including lawnmowers. The employees are always super friendly. Keep in mind this is a Upper Midwestern store, expect those sorts of values associated with it. I've seen other people complain about sometimes the lines are a little longer, expect that in any traditional hardware or feed store, you usually chat it up a little bit while conducting business, there's no self checkout. Just enjoy it, don't be in such a rush, and catch up with the cashier on the Packers Game last Sunday. During COVID I recommend the "pick up" option near the automotive department if you are in a hurry.
