You can tell a lot about a company by looking at the employees. Every time a Defense Pest Control Technician comes to the house, they have a smile and are prepared to do whatever you need. Whether it is just a simple spray around the outside, or whether you want them to spray inside as well. When you ask them to spray inside, they don't shrug their shoulders or try to talk you out of it, they ask you to hold on a second and return with their inside sprayer and go to work. We are not originally from Arizona, so there are a few species of bugs that freak us out!!! Every time that we have seen one in or around our property, my wife is on the phone with Pest Defense. Within a day, or that day, there is a technician who comes over and asks the..."What, When and Where" and heads over there to start!!! They don't bother with trying to explain that they are harmless and "...we live in a desert", they get to work and take care of the problem. Even after the incident when we are speaking to the technician, they politely explain the severity of the encounter, but only if we ask and after they are done performing the service. They are knowledgeable and have a unique ability to calm when they explain!!! I would like to share my latest experience with Defense Pest Control. We were putting in a driveway extension which would span from the road up the side of our house and end in our back yard. Everything was going smooth, and we were at the concrete stage, ready to pour, when someone said something about Termite treatment. It was scheduled for 8 am the next day when my heart sank. I called the office and left a frantic message. Ryan called me back and explained what they had to do, but did not realize that I was talking about 8 am the next day. I called back to confirm that we were talking about the next day and I had not communicated it well, but Ryan made it happen. When James showed up at 6 am the next day, I was a little embarrassed because of the miscommunication and him having to get up early. I was surprised when James seemed grateful to be there? He said he does not normally start that early, but oddly excited to be there, I was very surprised and prepared for a frustrated technician. James was anything but that, he was asking me about the project and joking about getting a call from Ryan the night before. He thanked me for calling back and making sure that he was there before the concrete was poured. He said the process to do Termite treatment after concrete is in place, is far more in depth and requires drilling. I was so happy that they responded quickly so we didn't have to do that. But I was really surprised with how James, especially, maintained that level of customer service that I have come to expect from Defense even with my miscommunication. Not to mention the price difference between drilling concrete and getting it done before the concrete. They could have used my miscommunication to make more money, but went above and beyond to do it right and make me happy. It is clear to me that this service is a direct reflection of their business model and leadership. They are always well dressed and happy, I don't feel like they are going to get the house dirty when they come in and spray. Their technicians are happy and always ready to provide the service that you want, not the service they may be "required" to provide. Customer service is a priority for Defense Pest Control, and anyone can appreciate that!!! read more

I've been with Defense for 4 and a half years now. I recommend them to all my new neighbors and anyone who'd listen to me :). I am a serious Bugaphobic and that causes anxiety and fear beyond description for me. So, having a reliable pest control company is very vital to me and my health :). Kyle (my technician) always calls me before he's headed my way per my request, which I appreciate very much. He's always on time and thorough enough to cover my whole property. I've used DPC for over 5 years for both termite and scorpion spraying and have found them to be very professional and reliable. They always verify the appointment ahead of time and arrive on the designated date. That may sound small but I've had other companies provide services ie AC repair or appliance repair and most are usually late and never bother to call. So the fact that DPC calls is important to me. Robert was our technician today and he was very professional. Even wiped down some spider webs. When he was leaving, he let me know that he was done and to have a nice day. I live in Apache Junction, AZ which has all the usual pests thriving in the desert. I just don't want to share the inside of my home with them. I also have a vocal disorder which makes speaking on the phone difficult. I emailed this company and I was treated with the utmost respect.
