After i was taken back to the chair there was little to no conversation. People were flying in and out of the room. Dr Zeller came in and yelled at an assistant for not having something correct on his tray. He started numbing me and injected me a few times where it hurt so bad I about came out of the chair. I have been numbed many times but never had it be so uncomfortable and rushed. They then left the room to give the medication to work. When he and the assistants came back again he continued to berate them and what they were doing. He started working and, at one point, was frustrated and dropped a heavy tool right in the middle of my chest to grab something else. He quickly removed the teeth, yelled at the assistant for not placing the gauze correctly and started saying a few words about how my mouth would feel. At the same time the assistant was trying to tell me about "after care" reciting something that was rushed and she had said a million times I'm sure. She then stopped about half way through and said this is all printed and in the bag and escorted me to the desk. Dr Zeller was out in the hall pacing and yelling, "I need a patient, I need a patient!" I finished at the desk (again all very nice) and left. I felt like they were working cattle or a pit crew at a race track. It was very, very rushed and impersonal. I normally don't have ANY concern about my dental work but I can not imagine what someone that does would feel like going into that environment. I don't need casual conversation but at least treat me like I'm human. It's like the guy was trying to meet some quota for the day. No way would I let my family members go there and I'll let my dentist that referred me know too.

So I paid my 80% and got the crown done. But six months later, I suddenly received another bill saying the insurance didn't pay the 20%, and now I have to pay that part too! What's going on? Isn't this just a scam? What's even worse is that they replied to my review and asked me to call 844-296-0187 for help. I called, but it was completely useless -- no one actually helped me at all. It's so frustrating! I already spent so much money and still had to deal with this nonsense. I just want to warn everyone: don't fall for it!

I already paid my portion of the charges--$2,700 through CareCredit. The remaining $1,600 was supposed to be covered by my insurance. My insurance sent Aspen two letters--one on August 5, 2024, and another on July 15, 2025--asking for the information needed to approve my claim. Unfortunately, Aspen did not send the documents. In the first week of October, I called the office, and the billing staff told me that my concern was on a "ticket" and would take 2-3 weeks to process. I waited, but when I called my insurance on November 21, I was told that Aspen still had not provided the information they needed. Because of this delay, my insurance can no longer cover the $1,600, since the timeframe has already passed. Now, I am receiving voicemails and letters reminding me about the amount due, even though the issue happened because the required information was not submitted on time. This situation has been very stressful for me, and I hope Aspen can improve the way they handle insurance requests and patient accounts so that others do not experience the same problem.

I received multiple bills with inconsistent balances and no clear date-of-service explanation. Staff could not provide coherent accounting, and at times said to "ignore" invoices. My requests for clarity went unresolved, and the practice later terminated my care while claiming the issue was my fault. The Director of Billing was condescending in phone calls would not allow escalation of improper conduct to owners of business, or owners were part of the problem and front receptionists always rotating and never knew how or who to address issues to, all this prompted a complaint to the Kansas Dental Board. I did not feel at all rushed, I was able to ask any questions I had, and he even followed up with me later in the afternoon after reviewing an X-ray they had taken to explain a possible issue with one of the roots of my tooth.
