I don't come to Deerfield Beach too often but it's not that crowded on a weekday like tonight. Parking in the public garage was easy and only a short walk to the beach. The fishing pier was beautiful and the beach was quiet with crashing waves. Had a fun time at The Break House and Lucky Lou's Raw Bar. The beach is absolutely beautiful with a blue ocean filled with boats and a wide boardwalk lined with overpriced condos and patio eateries. There was a Blues and Brews festival going on today and had my share of craft beer from an array of beer companies. Pubic bathrooms were also open next to the Deerfield Fire Department. I visited Deerfield Beach today for the first time for the Ocean Brews and Blues beer fest, and it was awesome! Besides the sizzling 97 degree temp, it was a great event along side the beach, where at times you did catch the cool ocean breeze. Although we didn't get to go onto the boardwalk over the water, or into the ocean itself, it was still great. The beach does have a couple restroom facilities that I saw, and used, I was quite surprised that it was clean, for the beach. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area, but keep in mind the wait time at most of the restaurants do have a hefty wait time. There is a 5 level public parking garage, which is a 5min's walk to the beach, it's $4 per hour, not too bad and your car is under the shade while you wonder around. I'll definitely make a visit again soon, for the beach itself next time. read more

I used to come to this beach often, but once I moved out of the area, I started to frequent other beaches, so I was really excited to come. It was rather packed for a random Thursday afternoon. This beach is very relaxing, very family friendly, has a nice trip that you can walk, very clean. You can also rent beach chairs. There's also pavilions if you wanted to rent for any type of gathering or barbecue. There's parking at the beach, you do have to pay a meter, or you can park in one of the parking garages, which is normally around $10. There is also the Deerfield Beach pier that you can visit. Tons of little shops and restaurants nearby. read more

Everytime I come to Boca I come to this beach because it is small in comparison to Miami Beach. I enjoy it very much and was excited to finally come to Boca raton and see that the pier was available. Come to find out that they will charge you to access the pier? What a load of BS. You're telling me we have to park at a meter and pay 10 for 2 hours and pay what 10 dollars for a family of 5 just to access the pier? What a load of shit. Had family in town and all they wanted to do was go to the beach, and of course, it rained everyday this week. Finally, the weather app showed a day of sunshine, so we raced down to try and take advantage. Deerfield Beach is open to the public. It is a nice, clean, white sand beach, it's family friendly, and it's just a perfect place to relax and chill. The Public beach starts at A1A and Hillsboro Blvd. Parking can be a nightmare. There are pay spots and lots along Ocean Blvd, be advised they do fill up quickly. There is a 5 story parking garage on A1A above the old Bru's Room, across from Island Water Sports. All parking is hourly and if you are lucky to find an outdoor lot, make sure you watch your parking app and add time if needed. Deerfield police are waiting and willing to write that $30 parking ticket. Beaches can be crowded, but always lively. Some nice restaurants directly face the beach and on weekends and late afternoons there can be live music. Plenty of beach volleyball and if there's some wind, you can catch the surfers by the pier. Nice walks along the ocean and it's South Florida, so 90% of the time the ocean is warm. There's a $2 charge to walk the pier and if you want to fish, you can rent a rod and bait for the whole day for around $20. read more

Nice beach. At least compared to the ones in Jacksonville. All of the spots in the surrounding area is paid parking. We paid $2.20 for 30 minutes, or something like that. Beautiful water.. Unlike that turd brown we have in Jacksonville lol... The lifeguards will whistle if you go out too far in the water. I noticed there's a restroom in the vicinity and plenty of shower stations along the sidewalk near the main road. We were here on a Sunday and there was parking within a block, or two away. read more

It's always crowded, it's blazing hot, the traffic to get there is insane, people never know how to park around it, the amount of things you have to carry to be there comfortably... do I go on? So pray tell, why did I willingly subject myself to go to the beach then? It was Opposite Day clearly as something possessed me to go. It may also help that we were nearby and this wasn't the cesspool insanity that is typical of South Beach. I shudder just thinking about it. Eek. Anyhow, we only strolled around half an hour or so and we managed to find shade in one of their tiki hut pavilions, so we mainly chatted and saw the waves pass on by, as well as experiencing a slight breeze. It wasn't awful to say the least and I enjoyed myself. Now I probably won't go to the beach for another year and that's assuming I'm dragged. Simply not my thing. /shrug read more

This is one of my favorite beaches. I love spending time here. It's peaceful, clean, the waves always seem to be perfect. It's a great place to park and get out and walk up and down the sidewalk. The views of the water and the many apartment complexes, hotels, and restaurants around make it truly enjoyable. If you cannot find a parking spot, circle around a couple of times and I'm pretty sure you'll find one. Make sure to pay the parking meter so you won't run the risk of getting a ticket. They are all over, you won't miss them. I love walking the boardwalk and looking out into the ocean. It's never crowded and the benches make it a nice place to stop, rest and take it all in. It's also a great place to pull out the camera and take pictures of the views or yourself. A quick selfie on the boardwalk that you can share with friends is always a nice touch. Or, post on Yelp. Pictures tell a story we can't with our words, they're timeless. And if you don't want to get out of your car, park and enjoy people watching. It's something I love to do. You'd be surprised at how much time goes by while enjoying the scenery. The beach bathrooms are clean and sanitized, making sure they follow protocols for keeping us safe. read more

But it's definitely less crowded compared to others. If you get lucky, you get free parking. And even then, if you're not able to find free parking, it's not expensive at all. The quietness, peacefulness, and cleanliness are what we like most about this beach. Such beautiful views from the pier and a lot of places to walk to. This was my last beach day before the start of school. Weekday parking is $2 an hour here. Make sure you do not run over on your time. I saw the parking enforcement checking each and every car during my visit and writing more than one ticket. Parking enforcement is very strict. Also you need a facial covering while walking from your vehicle to the beach. I prefer to park near between the fire station and pier where there is both a parking lot and parking along A1A. You have the option of sitting on the grass in the shade along the promenade or on the beach. There are plenty of food and drink options within walking distance from this area. Life guard stations are along the beach. Normally during the year the city holds festivals along here and closes off the road. In the past I have attended beer and craft festivals in this area. The beaches of Florida are a major attraction to tourists but if you are a local remember to avail yourself of a staycation day. In the hustle and bustle of daily life it is easy to take for granted this great resource right at our doorsteps. read more

Continue to go to the many beaches in Miami Beach. OMG, I absolutely love this beach. This is by far my favorite beach in Broward County. This beach has me speechless, and that says a lot because I am a beach bum. I'm always on some beach meditating, doing nighttime Obeah rituals, or lying on the beach stargazing with a debutante. Parking - The parking is literally on the beach, once you park, you're about 10 paces from the sand. Even better there's a parking ticket dispenser about every 30 paces, and it's only $2/hr to park. Pavillion - I remember a long time ago a Yelpette brought me here for a Muslim end of Ramadan celebration, but I made sure none of my Jewish friends knew I attended. If Hope knew I went, with all the Fox News she's watching, she'd probably report me to Fox & Friends to get my citizenship stripped and have me sent back to Jamaica or Kenya. I've never been to Kenya by the way. Anyway, because it was at night, plus I didn't go on the beach nor look around, I had no idea the little piece of paradise I was in. There are a few wooden pavilions, platforms, gazebos, and few grass areas overlooking the beach. The Beach - Pristine blue waters, litter-free beaches, diamond glittering waters, I am in love. What I really love is the limestone rocks they have lines cascading down into the ocean, which gives it a dreamy effect. Plus it's super romantic at night, with the music the rocks create with the splashing ocean water. Bathrooms - Clean bathrooms are located on the beach. Wow! Can't believe I didn't write a review about Deerfield Beach till today! I've never swim at this beach because I've mainly always gone for the pier. I truly LOVE the pier because it holds so many amazing memories for me. You can pay a small fee just to go on the pier about $1 per person. You can also go fishing on it but the fee is a little more. On the pier they also have seats so you can enjoy the amazing view. There's a good amount of parking around (for a fee)...obviously on the weekends it will be packed but it shouldn't take you that long to find parking (there's always people coming and going). There's also a good amount of restaurant right on the beach. Wish I could remember the name of the restaurant I went to but it gave me an excellent view. It takes me about an hour to get to this beach but for me it's worth it because of the huge and lengthy pier. read more

Great beach! We stayed at the Wyndham, which is right across the street from the beach and really enjoyed our time here. It was very clean, beautiful pier (except there is an additional charge to walk down the entire pier, which we didn't expect). Parking isn't too bad- it fills up a bit quickly, but we were still able to find parking on the street even when we went during spring break. There are ample picnic tables along the beach sidewalk with covered roofs where you can sit and relax in the shade. By the pier there's a good number of places to eat just 5-10 minute walking distance. Also you get a beautiful sunrise there! read more

Having lived in Florida off and on for 40 years I'm very familiar with Deerfield Beach. I lived on the Gold Coast of Florida. I surfed and sunned most my life up and down the coast. The beach is very well maintained. It's quieter than farther south. There's not as much of a tourist feel. You have numerous activities, hotels, motels, restaurants. Shopping centers all in close proximity. If you are looking for a location to be a Snow Bird, check it out. I'm sure you can locate housing accommodations for the Winter Months. What a great beach. Parking south of the pier had lots of open spots on a Saturday at 12 noon. It's about $3 an hour. The restrooms to change are right there in the lot, and it's a very short walk to the beach. There's lifeguards and lots of space to set up your umbrella and beach chairs. The water was pretty rough the day we went out, but already warm in early May. It gets deep pretty fast. I really like how easy it is to get in and set up here. I will definitely be back! read more

The Sargassum Seaweed nightmare continues on the Florida beaches and Deerfield Beach is no exception. It is hard to enjoy a nice swim with seaweed constantly brushing against the skin and omg walking on hot dry seaweed in not pleasant either. The beach was clean and a great place to sunbathe, enjoy volleyball, football, frisbee play, sunset on the pier for $1, or basically anything you want. The boardwalk was well maintained. No debris or garbage and police monitored by helicopter in air and patrolled on land. For your safety a lifeguard is on duty daily from 9-5 and beach colored flags are visible at the entrance if you plan on getting in the water. There are many restaurants and hotels within walking distance. It was convenient to walk as parking was limited during the holidays. Overall a nice quiet relaxing beach. read more

If we are rating best beaches, Deerfield Beach has the inside track. And I'm not just talking South Florida. I would say it is one of the best on the Eastern seaboard. Now obvious that depends on what your looking for in a beach. Not everyone is at a beach for the same reason. It doesn't have a slew of walk-up bars or other Spring Break necessities. But it has most everything else. Pier? One of the best to wander out on. Waves? You can take pictures of some actual barrel waves here. And if you dare, you can surf a little too. Dining? There is restaurants about and some of the best of them are overlooking the ocean. Volleyball is being played, joggers are going up and down the sand and kids are doing their thing. Which to say south of the pier they are having fun. That is considered the family side. It's a great spot for a romantic walk, a solid bike ride or take a chance on a boogie board. I can say it is a go-to spot when I have family from out of town around. They often say, "but we hear about Fort Lauderdale and South Beach". And I tell them the fact that they heard of those means everyone else has. It's the beaches you don't hear about as much that are the gems. read more
