It is so incredibly stale and tasteless and of course it was the most expensive thing that I purchased. This wouldn't be an issue, but I called back and spoke to the young man that took care of me and I explained to him how stale this item is and it's truly just awful He replied that I could heat it up in the microwave And ' I'm really sorry about that.' Silence. He told me again how sorry he was and he was polite and I'm just on the other end of the phone thinking that you have got to be kidding me. But no, he wasn't, sadly, I won't go back. If you were comfortable selling stale items, and when customers complain about it (especially in this economy) then that is not where I need to spend my money.

Both cakes were crowd pleasers. The chocolate cake was moist, rich and decadent. The almond cake was moist and light, and had just the right amount of sweetness. Sometimes their buttercream frosting isn't sweet enough. Working with the baker was easy enough. The first time I met with her in person. She was personable and offered some great ideas. The second time we talked over the phone, and the service was also fine, and she was accommodating. I think they're a good value.

Not only was it delicious and perfectly moist but we ate off it for over a week and it never got stale. It was also very affordable, about $60 for a huge cookie cake. This was the only place I could find that would make a macadamia nut version, and they absolutely nailed it. I asked for simple decorations, and it turned out beautiful. Ordering was a breeze, and the owner made the process so easy. I'll definitely be back next year to order the exact same cake as this will be our new tradition going forward.

The latter is available year round, which is really convenient. The doberge cake is perfect for chocolate lovers and the NOLA wedding cake is decadent. A lot of people sleep on their ooey gooey cake, but it's definitely one of the most indulgent things they make. Their custom cakes look incredible and are extremely creative. They also bake some really high quality bread. From french bread to pastries, they can produce stuff perfect for building the perfect muffuletta, poboy, or the underrated but always lovely pullman loaves. I ordered vanilla with pineapple filling. I requested magenta as the script color. We discussed over the phone, and both agreed it was a deep and vibrant pink. When I picked it up, I peeked inside, and it was quite dark . At first, the script looked brown, but when I opened the box fully, it was more of a deep purple. The lady explained that they recommend bringing swatches to provide a more accurate or, at most, a closer representation of the color requested. I'll definitely do that next time. On to the taste, the cake was delicious. More importantly, it was extremely moist, which was wonderful. I heard many good things about Swiss. In spite of the trivial issue with the script color, overall, my experience with Swiss was great. I'll definitely use them again.
