Absolute Worst Buying Experience of My Friend's Life…read more She purchased a brand new RV for her 60th birthday, expecting it to be an exciting milestone. Instead, it turned into the most frustrating and disappointing buying experience she's ever had. She paid $140,000 for an RV that was delivered straight from the factory to Optimum RV in Bushnell Florida. You would think that kind of money would come with a certain level of quality and service--unfortunately, that was not the case. To start, the sales representative was great... right up until she signed the paperwork. After that, she was completely dropped. No follow-up, no support--nothing. The RV itself had numerous issues. Some were clearly quality control failures from the manufacturer, while others were simple fixes that should have been handled easily by the dealership. What makes this even worse is that the dealership had the RV for THREE WEEKS prior to her scheduled walkthrough and pickup appointment. When she arrived (one hour early), she was blamed for the issues not being resolved--as if showing up early somehow prevented them from fixing problems they had weeks to address. That excuse alone tells you everything you need to know about their accountability. The service advisor was patronizing, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Instead of working toward solutions, she was met with attitude and excuses. The general manager showed zero interest in making things right. Rather than standing behind their product and service, they wanted to charge her a service fee just to send someone out to fix problems that should have been resolved before delivery. Then they told her she would need to bring the RV back--and that it would likely take more than a day. Let me be clear: she LIVES in her RV full-time. She doesn't have a house to go back to. This was completely disregarded. In the end, she had to hire her own service technician, who is now dealing directly with the manufacturers because going through this dealership was a complete waste of time. For a $140,000 purchase, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care is unacceptable. Avoid Optimum RV in Bushnell Florida at all costs!

When we pulled in, we discovered that one of our slide outs was sitting askew and was partly off of its track. Definitely not right and a huge worry! Putting the slide out and then back in did not fix it. It was almost 6 o'clock, and we didn't have much hope of getting help that same night, but we quickly jumped online and that's when I found East to West Mobile RV Services. We called and reached Freddy who answered immediately. He is just a super awesome very friendly guy and got there in less than 15 minutes. He arrived in his extremely well organized work truck with every tool known to man. We felt like he could fix anything! (and he did!) Freddy spent well over an hour and a half with us. He not only fixed our slide and was very knowledgeable about how it worked and explained it all to us, but he fixed several other little nagging problems that we had not yet gotten around to. He did it all with a smile on his face and we had a lot of laughs talking with him. He's truly a wonderful guy, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody. Having rescheduled at least twice and finally he never returned my call. This left me sitting around waiting for him in the time slots he identified. Even took up my whole day because he "will be there" and never called. If you're towards the edge of his coverage zone I wouldn't bother. His schedule is packed and he is a "one man" crew. There ended up being no space in his schedule to get my RV fixed by him. I wish him good luck in his small business endeavors. But he should really hire some additional repair help.

On 4/20/2015 I took my RV into Chadwick's Tire for a NC inspection. The front brakes (passenger side) were smelling of brake. The brake seal was leaking fluid all over. The probable cause as stated by their tech. was that the wheel was not tightened. The work done at RV Collision and Restoration was then duplicated. This correspondence was shared with the business and the general manager was given copies of, including photos, this complaint and the one posted with BBB.
