I like the ambience of this restaurant. It has a full service bar, television and friendly wait staff. I think the restaurant has mastered the crab dish hence its name and signature dishes. I recommend visiting here to enjoy where the upper class of Mexico enjoys crab.
However, in the kitchen, I also think this restaurant could benefit from additional managerial attention to more consistent quality control and validation of the customer experience for enhancing the quality of the non-crab dishes. With more supervisory attention in the kitchen, I think this restaurant could easily return to four-five star status.
For example, the nigiri sushi salmon and tuna rolls appear cut and wrapped like a flower which elevates its sushi to an art form. However, the rice is not sticky enough or there was too much vinegar added so the sushi comes apart during scooping so it is hard for the customer to enjoy the dish. This is a trivial and easy enhancement to consider.
The tuna cheese burger was a well conceived dish. However, Items cooked on the charcoal grill should be more closely inspected to ensure no bite sized chunks of charcoal have been absorbed into the meat.
The price is top-end so I think the standard the restaurant sets for itself is very high. As with all services it is a constant battle to maintain that level of quality without continuous supervision and oversight in the kitchen which I think this restaurant could benefit from.
The wait staff also speak excellent English and Spanish. Our waiter was wonderful and thus would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or a meeting where the best table manners are on display. read more
