Our new deck looks amazing! First off, Adam LOVES what he does and it shows. He and his crew were meticulous in making sure every joint and board were perfectly aligned. I'm no carpenter but from what I could tell he did everything right, the way it should be, because he kept mentioning this code says this and this code says that, etc... They were on time every day, even worked with snow on the ground so he could complete ahead of schedule. Pricing was good, we learned the hard way with some other projects that the cheapest bid should be avoided. Decksperts came in with a fair price and it was well worth it. Highly recommend Decksperts to anyone that is looking to build a deck. Adam and his crew are great to work with. We had a friend recommend that we get a bid from Decksperts and I am so glad that we did. We wanted a unique deck and Adam was extremely helpful and patient while we figured out what we were going to do for a design. Adam had several suggestions and pointed out a few things we could do differently to enhance the final product. In March 2018, we closed on our home. We had a trampoline that our deck was enclosed with nearby our pool. Due to insurance reasons we had it removed. After talking with Adam Drover owner of Decksperts we decided to build a pavilion, in place of the trampoline. Adam helped us figure the design and started the work right away. We had our engagement party at our home on June 2nd mid-afternoon. Adam made sure that any loose ends were completed before the party started. Although the deck was acceptable, his social skills are lacking. It's like interacting with people is a new thing for him. One of the holes that was dug for a post wasn't even filled back in. The price was the same as other companies, so honestly, I'd find someone else. Maybe find a company that has employees with some social skills. read more

I had several(4) companies come out and look at my space and provide estimates for 2 decks in my backyard. A small one off the kitchen and a larger one off the living room. Something I appreciated about Adam's estimate is that he brought samples of the different types of decking materials to that meeting and I could look at colors, textures, and talk about pricing differences between them right away (no commitment before looking at it - just a way for me to help make a decision). I did decided to go with Decksperts offer and when the deck was done it was true to that estimate. He was responsive to any messages and was also true to his timeframe. From the start (the day I confirmed the estimate) he told me I was basically the last one to sign and therefore my deck would be about the last one built before winter. Fair. I procrastinated making my decision and he did have to follow up with me to check on my decision. But that ended up being unintentionally part of my decision making....I had been waiting for the 1 last company to give me an estimate and neither of the other 2 companies I had already spoken with followed up. I thought it was a good sign that he did. I don't know if he provides blueprints for more complicated decks but mine seem very simple so maybe that is why I didn't get one - I do wish I had. My small deck turned out exactly what I had hoped for but I thought the big deck would have 1 step coming out of the house and then be close to the ground all the way around; but it is flush with the sliding door and there is 1 step down straight out front and 1 step towards the little deck. It wasn't until the footings and frame were in place that I realized his plan and I don't care THAT much to try and have it changed (for all I know due to the grade of my yard he couldn't have built it the way I thought). Now that it's spring/summer and I am actually using the deck everyday - turns out; it's fine. Every day (that it isn't raining) I have been out on my decks drinking coffee in the morning, eating meals, playing with the dog. I moved the grill up onto the little one and it is perfect for grilling and bringing food in/out from the kitchen. I used to only have a patio off the living room and the kitchen had 3 little steps into the yard so I was carrying food through the house to get it to the grill or get it to the table. I am very, very happy with how the decks turned out. read more
