When you open the door, you meet a perfectly delightful and friendly shop owner. There is a wonderful variety of merchandise that would please a diverse array of shoppers....jewelry, clothing, kitchen items, large assortment of beautiful French tablecloths, home decor and much more. I bought two great necklaces made from Tagua seeds from Ecuador. I just love them and have received many compliments when I wear them. They are so attractive and unique. I also purchased a gorgeous rectangular French tablecloth in blues and yellows and some cute kitchen towels. In my shopping I also acquired a stylish top with a lacy edge and a fishnet type top to go with it. The shopkeeper also has many artistic wind chimes for your patio. Mine has a metallic dragonfly and colorful beads. If you can't make it to her shop, she also has a stall at the awesome Des Moines Farmers Market every Saturday for 6 months of the year. Consignment stores aren't normally "my jam". In South Florida they are mostly cluttered and dirty and I don't have the patience to dig through them. Until now... On a recent trip to Iowa to help my brother get his new apartment sorted and we had some time to kill. He mentioned going to another consignment store and finding some good things, so yelp searched the area and found this place popped up just 2 blocks away. TL;DR - this store is awesome!! It's much bigger than expected. It has some very unique finds. It's quite affordable. It does have a bit of a 70's era theme, but there are pieces to fit everyone. I wish I could come here every weekend!!

Apparently, this displeased the cashier because for my buttons, which were clearly marked 2.99 each, she charged me $9.98 for the buttons. A naughty tax because I wasn't painting the correct thing? For a "Christian" store, you do not behave Christ like in any way. Jesus accepted all the weirdos: lepers, prostitutes, the weak and marginalized. I should not be overcharged because my project is "unacceptable." I will never walk into another of your stores again.
