I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed World Market before now. I love browsing in this store! My daughter has recently had a craving for iced chai. A venti iced chai at Starbucks is about $7. World Market carries a TON of chai mixes and teas that come to much less than $7 a drink. Lol While the store is fun to browser the online site is user friendly and often offers 15% off for an in store pick up order...which is exactly what I did last night. I purchased three different varieties of David Rio chai mixes and some gummy peach rings with tajin, chiles, and limon. I placed the order online at about 200 PM and it was pulled and ready by 430 PM. Your mileage may vary. On arriving at the store I headed up to a register and let the employee know I was there to pick up an online order. It was pulled and brought to me quickly. The staff is friendly and parking is easy. And there are a great group of adjacent businesses and restaurants nearby if you are in the mood to shop a little more... I've always been fond of World Market and for years have appreciated some of their unique home decor, and especially their dinnerware. Of late, though, what I'm really about is their grocery section. World Market carries a good mix of international/international-themed food products. Some of which you can find around with a little effort, but some scarce. My current favorite must-have in the pantry is Marconi's Original Chicago Style hot giardiniera. There can be no Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich without it! If that is not your thing, not to worry, there are plenty of other delicacies worth checking out. Take the opportunity and browse around. I had to return a couple things and they were absolutely outstanding and it was painless to do. There's some great items there for stocking stuffers for Christmas gifts to friends and employees that come from all over the world they have a nice wine selection they also have lots of functional items that you could use in your apartment or home. In the past I bought some Japanese Shoji screens there that I use for years. It's worth a look if you need some stuff for gifts or items for your home or apartment. read more

I needed to do some, ok all, of my Christmas shopping on the 23rd of December. Decided to start at World Market because I know that they have a great variety of things. The store was really picked over, but I found just what I needed. I have to mention their food selection! There are foods from all over the world, little travel and snack sizes of many different foods and beverages. I put together a meat, cheese, and crackers selection for my uncle and his girlfriend and called it a "date night" tray. They loved it. It's a fun store. I used to work for the company and avoided it for years afterwards, so it was nice to be back to check things out. read more

I've never been to a world market store before. I was actually really impressed with the items they had. They had all kinds of items from around the world. They had decorations, rugs, jewelry, food, candy, ported wines and beers, kitchen gadgets, patio furniture, furniture, storage solutions, cards, soaps and so much more. I'm not much of a decorator but if you are this is a place for you! I didn't see many employees but the girl at the register was very friendly. There were several boxes of merchandise around so merchandising wasn't crisp and clean. The prices were reasonable. Nothing out of the line. I was drawn to the vintage bottles of soda. They were $1.49 each and I bought 6 different flavors. I'd never seen them before. I'm sure I will be back. read more

We cannot get enough of this place! We mainly come in here for housewares and also food and beverages. We actually try not to go in unless we really need something because this is our Wal-mart (meaning that we go in for one thing and come out with an arm/shopping cart full). Our favorites: - Furniture!!! They have wonderful furniture that costs less than big furniture stores. - Wine!! Good wine selection for less many times. - Wall Decor! I could decorate my entire house with just this store! - Food & Drink! Unique food and drink from around the world. Yay for Thai Tea! The list goes on! Wow, I heard about this place from my sister who lives in SF. She took us here a few years ago and we got some great Christmas clearance. Well, my co-worker mentioned this as well so I had to check it out. Wow, this place is even better than your regular houseware stores-- affordable and pretty cool too. I picked up some cork pot pads to protect my table counter top. I could never find these at the big box stores. Also, wonderful Christmas clearance at 90% off. I never saw this kind of discount at other stores. I picked up a couple boxes of Marzipan cake mixes at 50 cents and some ornaments for only 30 cents. Plus, there was a 10% discount coupon. Sign up for their email list and get a birthday present. Cool, huh. Plus, you got great shops around to visit like Marshalls, Sports Authority, and Best Buy. read more

This place is legit. I have a World Market back home and I'm a big fan. I love their coffees and their neat trinkets and furniture and everythinggg.. Although the price may be high sometimes, they always have awesome sales and clearances so be sure to check that section out. If you sign up to be a world explorer (free) you get a free bag of coffee for every 6 you buy (i think it's 6). On Wednesdays, 1 bag of coffee counts as 2 so if you just buy 3 bags of coffee on wednesday, you get a free bag! What I don't like about this specific store is they don't have samples of their coffee and tea. The store back home does :( read more

I really dig this place! I like Beer and Candy and they have selections from around the world of both! They also have furniture, and nick nacks that your mom or grandma might think are really expensive gifts, but are actually pretty affordable! The shopping lanes are kinda small so if you have baby in stroller be care full you don't knock some hot sauce of the shelf, I almost did! I was in town and had heard about Cost Plus World Market on TV advertisements...which should have been my very first clue. I really wanted to find out what the store was like, but should have done my HW online first. My expectation was that it would carry goods from all over the world, very random...which I would love. What I found is that most items are simply sourced somehow by Cost Plus and carry their name. The food section was a disappointment to me but perhaps I'm jaded by exposure to ethnic markets in my I.C. area and in Fairfield where I'm originally from. I felt that most grocery items were something I can easily find at home and for a lesser price. I personally prefer shopping at Pier1 to shopping in this store. I left with very little, just not impressed or maybe my expectations were too high. read more

A neat place with lots of different items. The prices are a bit high for many items and many are not too unique. We do like some of the interesting foods and the store is very neat and clean. We do shop here from time to time, and if the prices were a little more reasonable for items you can get near by, we would shop more often. read more

A fun place to shop with unique items. I always get the help I need and the store has improved the look and cleanliness over the past couple of months (new management?) The secret is to shop with coupons. I found out you get them by signing up for their free membership program. I never buy off-sale and know I can watch their ads through e-mail (I don't think they advertise much). The coupons are great! Good place to buy unique food and wine.
