Great place, very organized and clean. Lots of selection for a small shop. Prices are very reasonable.

Only ones that have turquoise. They also have other neat sterling jewelry finds. Nice fella. Fair pricing.

Every now and then you comes across a place on Yelp that makes you step back a little... I've been…read morehere a TON of times! How have I not reviewed this place before now...?! The Picker Knows is one of those places... Probably the premier, and my favorite, antique "mall" in the Des Moines metro! Rows and rows of vendor booth and cases. I'd hate to total the money up that I've spent here... And buying is great, but a lot of times I just have fun window shopping. Looking at the many different things here that I can't afford or have no business spending money on... Lol Very large display items, furniture, antiques, retro and vintage, some modern, a few clothes, comics, vinyls, Hot Wheels, some dusty and rusty things, handcrafted items, and tons of smalls! Prices are vendor driven. So some are high, some are at market, and there are great deals to be found here too. As a veteran I appreciate the veteran's only parking spot near the front door. At only 55 I pass it up a lot because there are veterans in A LOT worse shape than I am. But I have used it a couple of times. It's so easy to spend hours here! Vendors leave and new vendors fill their slots. And with the merchandise being vendor provided...the selection is ever changing! The staff is fantastic and always available for questions or to open a case! The bathrooms aren't terrible for this environment. They aren't perfect...pretty plain Jane...but they don't send you running for the hills. Lol The Picker Knows is a must stop in the Des Moines metro if you are into antiquing or thrifting!

Love all the stuff I got great quality and amazing products…read more .

I really love antique stores, so much mystery and I love hunting for a good find, I can't find…read moreanywhere else! I have been in here once before, and the store is jam packed full of stuff. Both times I was here I noticed buckets catching water through the roof. So the building is a little in shambles, but the stuff in it.... rules! I drive buy this building every day bringing my kid to school, so I noticed this sweet mid century modern lamp in the window that would match my "Fake" mid century modern couches.. So I had to go and check it out.. Mind you when I saw the price tag, 600 bucks.. and the sweet owner told me it was from the early 60's and made in Italy I understood that this lamp does not belong next to my two fake mid century modern couches that were purchased for under the price of that lamp! But hey I kept shopping and found tons of other treasures that I would love to have but also couldn't afford.. But you got to look everywhere here! I did end up finding a really cool Minnesota Twins button from the 1960's that I will give to my dad for Christmas.. and hey it was only 5 bucks! I wish I could buy that 600 dollar lamp, and the very sweet owner could fix his roof.. The store is also only open on weekends or by appointment.. So go check it out.. There is bound to be a treasure in there for you! Or if you want to buy me a 600 dollar Christmas Present I will take that orange lamp in the window..

I am a frequent customer because every time I come in there is something new I haven't seen before. I'm always amazed no one else has bought it yet when I set my eyes on something that catches my attention. The prices are incredibly modest. Just as fun as finding cool artifacts and treasures is chatting away with the two owners. They are really knowledgeable and fun people with exceptional taste. Their eye for antiques is refreshingly artistic. I HIGHLY recommend this neighborhood gem. MUST SEE!

The owner and very short with this lady, but gave her some info. When the customer left, the owner started to talk bad about this customer to one of her friends and laughing about her question. Its really too bad, as I have a lot of items I need for my ew home, and she had a good prices. I refuse to help a business owner who does not value the people who keep them in business and happy. My hope if she will read this review and reflect on what she should change to be more successful. Again, and very cute shop with good prices, but a very rude owner. You know know who is in your shop listening or is willing to review you. Thanks for reading my ramblings. - Sepi
