Review is for SIP, the rooftop bar and is based on three different visits all with varying crowd sizes. We've been there when it was just us, we've been there when it was a raging DJ party and we've been there when a Jags game is on. For me, every experience is based on setting your expectations. I'm an old man now and I've been in all of this situations one million times previously. So I don't go into a raging DJ situation ready to get my phone out and start writing a review to state "the music was just too darn loud!". I also don't go there during a Jags game just to write a review that says "I had to wait a long time for a drink....can you even believe it??". Was the music loud? Yep. Was the wait really long during the Jags game? You better believe it. We went in expecting those things though because that's how the real world works. The drinks are great. The bar is nice, the staff is cool and you can't beat the views. Sounds like a good deal to me. read more

This review is specifically for the rooftop bar. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. Stairs only to the rooftop; I'm not sure if there's an elevator. The atmosphere was chill with no music, or at least I don't recall. We found a spot without shade to sit, which was sunny until the sun went behind the Hyatt. More shade would have been nice, but they had a decent beer selection. It's not as spacious as the rooftop at Hoptinger in 5 Points, and they don't offer any games. I went to Decca Live to see Steve Aoki. The space is intimate with bars on every corner. Although the space is small there was space for me to move during the concert. The graphics and lighting is well done. The bathroom is upstairs where there is more standing space. The location is in the downtown area with plenty of parking. I would see another concert at this location. read more

I recently checked out SIP on an early Saturday afternoon while taking a day trip to Jacksonville. I quickly came across SIP via Tik Tok. The rooftop was alot of fun for a birthday celebration. They have a full bar and a wide variety available on the drink menu. I ordered a lemon drop and it was really good. It's a really cute space for a nice river view and other photo opportunities. They have on-street parking available for a fee. Unfortunately, they do not offer an elevator so be prepared to walk up 3 flights of stairs for the rooftop scene. Had the opportunity to check out this venue to see a concert this past Thursday night! Parking is anywhere you can find it since it's downtown. The venue itself is intimate and the staff was friendly. There are two floors - the bottom is the main area and the top has vantage points around the perimeter looking down. There is standing only in both the bottom and top floors , with a few high tables scattered around to put your drinks on, so wear comfortable shoes. (There were a few small roped off couch areas along the sides which I think cost additional money). There is a bar downstairs and upstairs- both serve only bottled/canned beverages- $25 for two beers, including tax and tip. There bathrooms upstairs. I would recommend you go with friends if going to a night time show, since there were several outspoken characters outside as we left who were yelling to give money and I would have been nervous for sure if I had been by myself and felt unsafe walking to my car which was quite a bit of a walk. Ok i had A BLAST at Decca for the Pauly D show! I was skeptical being in my (cough) 40s, and reading other reviews ahead of time. But I felt safe & comfortable & danced all night long! Getting drinks was super quick- stuck to beers & seltzers, prices as expected for a trendy scene. Line at the front door was quick & efficient too. Enjoyed watching pauly d from the 2nd floor mezzanine- i didnt find it too loud or too crowded. Pauly had so much energy and a huge smile during his set. I was told my tickets were fraudulent because I purchased them from stubhub. Then he told us to move out the line with out any explanation. Let me start by saying, I have been looking forward to attending an event at Decca Live. I rallied the troops and six of us got together and purchase tickets the day of the bingo Loco event. Purchasing the tickets was very simple. It was a little unclear what time the event actually began. Most places stated 5 to 930 but then said to come an hour early for a drink. Once we arrived, we realize that having a drink at SIP was not actually entering the venue, but going upstairs to a separate location. So we arrived quite early Looking forward to getting in early to get a good seat only to find out we couldn't enter until 5 o'clock. Ultimately we were able to get in early in the line and they had plenty of staff checking IDs and taking tickets throughout the line without waiting until you reach the door. Once inside the chaos ensued. This venue was slam packed with foldable tables covered with black table covers that were extremely large for the table sizes. The table covers were all tangled in the legs of the chairs, and the table legs which made it difficult to maneuver. there was absolutely no space between the tables and the flimsy folding chairs that lined the entire floor area of the venue. Having arrived early with nobody even seated, we had to climb over chairs and remove some to even be able to get to a selected seat. We were wise enough to sit close to the bar without a row of tables beside us on one side, but then we had all of the bar traffic hitting us and squeezing by us pushing our chairs. If you were seated anywhere else in the venue once you were seated, there was literally no way out. The entire time all I could imagine was what would happen if there was an emergency or a fire in this venue. it would've been a complete and utter disaster. The concept of the bingo locco was fun and exciting but if you watched videos, there was a lot of dancing going on, which was not possible in this venue. You could not even push your chair back to stand up. I thought the way the bingo cards were set up was pretty cool because every number they called was on the card somewhere. However, for the cost of the tickets there could've been more prizes given to more people and/or better prizes. For the most part, everyone that attended was a good sport about being crammed in to the venue. I'm glad we tried it out but I would definitely not attend this particular or similar events at this venue. read more

We have been super excited for this venue to open and it's been either great or crappy experiences. First was a dj in Feb. great dj and everything seemed to run smoothly. They just needed to work on sound system but it was their third week open. The 2nd floor bartender told us that if we had an open tab it was only for that floor but 1st floor bartender said open tab can be used at any bar any floor. So that was confusing. 2nd time was for Trapt concert. I won tickets. It was originally supposed to be at Decca and then last minute it was moved next door to justice bar. And it was a NOON-6 concert. Did Decca inform anyone on their socials or website it was moved? NO. They said last minute it was a NOON concert and then we went to TRAPT's Facebook and that's where we saw the location had been moved. I contacted Decca 3 different ways to get clarity and also to make sure my tickets I won were still valid. They finally answered my email, said my name would be on the list with doorman and when we got to the door the doorman had no clue. I had to bring up my email even though they said our name would be on the list. Not organized very well. There was maybe 40 ppl max at this show. 3rd time was James Kennedy - he was awesome. Performed for I think about 90 mins. Some of the crowd sucked but that's not Decca's fault. 4th visit was for last night. Juicy J's "performance". I've been to kids storytimes that have last longer. It was maybe 20 mins. Waited 3 hrs for him to come on and we got 20mins. I also feel that there is less security on the floor than before. We witnessed two girls almost fight. Thankfully the crowd took care of it. Also saw and dealt with quite a few ppl who were overly intoxicated before 12:30. They couldn't stand up without falling into ppl. Hurt a few ppl around them falling over. No security in sight to flag them down for help. Also there were people smoking (not vaping or hookah) inside on the floor. they only have one set of bathrooms upstairs which is odd and not a lot for that big of a Venue. read more

My friend came out from NY specifically to see 50 cent live. On top of that, we drove from Georgia to Florida and waited on a 40 min line to enter in the concert. We had a paid 400$ for these tickets on seat geak. Long story short, we werent allowed entry BY security because my friend was wearing a G-Unit jersey with no sleeves. There was absolutely no mention of a dress code when we purchased the ticket. Never again. Tried to talk to several people in charge and the best advice they gave was to drive to walmart and get a new shirt. The reason why is because I wasn't allowed to get a soda or even a Sprite at all if I wanted to Shirley Temple they will put it in a Red Bull. Not to mention this club uses a third party for ticket management and of course there's a no refund policy and nonexistent customer support. I paid for tickets to go to a show last night that was supposed to be in five points at a new venue and they changed it to this location nowhere on the tickets did it say that you have to get in before 10 PM so I go there thinking I'm going to a show this evening last night and they tell me that that was for the show that was between eight and 10 and I'm thinking to myself what kind of shows starts at eight and ends at 10 this is lame as fuck so I ended up leaving because that shits stupid and I had to wait almost an hour in line to get told that the show is finished. I will not be returning never going to see any live music, DJ or concert here ever again. read more
